2 pc fish & chips and fish sandwich

Just finished our after Edmonds Marina walk with a delicious triple fish and fries with a side of Cole slaw! It did not disappearing fact all was exceptionally delicious! The batter on the fish was light and crispy just how fish should be. I was able to order on a kiosk which was very nice and easy. So excited to see a loyalty program now too! Of course I signed up for it!! They were busy and all smiling away. Love coming here so much! Thank you!

Pick up window and outdoor seating.

I have come to the Spud Fish & Chips by the Edmonds Ferry Terminal both with my parents and on my own, most recently this evening, Friday 21 July 2023. My first time with my parents was after the location opened up here, and my first time solo was tonight. I arrived around 6:45 p.m. and found one open parking spot by the windows marked pick up window. Out front of the entrance was a sample menu, which I looked over before making my way inside. Ordering was a breeze and there was seating available, a chair of which I used while waiting. The wait time for my order to be filled was approximately 12 minutes, I got a cod fish and chips with a side of tartar sauce. Cod was flaky and had a thin and crispy exterior without being too oily nor over-fried. For the tartar sauce, it was smooth and I used the whole container when eating my meal. The fries were light and fluffy. All three items were flavorful. I liked the paper wrapping for the fish and chips, it held the fish in place in my to-go bag and made easy the items less messy when eating.

Halibut & Chips w/ the special Tartar Sauce!

This place is incredible. How have I been missing out on it all these years (and by years I mean 89 because it has been in biz since 1935!). Super friendly staff and nice, airy space. We ate outside. Had the halibut & chips and it was to die for. So juicy and crispy. Cooked perfectly and piping hot. I am in love. My partner had the fish sandwich & chips and it was outstanding. Delicious cod, so tender inside and crispy outside. Perfect blend of flavors with the tartar sauce & cheese on a pretzel-lookin bun. So good! Nice ambiance as one waits for the Kingston Ferry or the Amtrak in Edmonds. Don't miss it! And there is a Top Pot Donuts across the parking lot if you want something sweet.

Cod & Chips - heavily breaded cod, limpy chips; disappointing, not like the fabulous now closed Greenlake's location! (06/25/22)

Oh no! Grown up loving Spud's fish & chips at the now closed Green Lake location. But here, though the service was very friendly and efficient, awfully disappointed I was with their "Cod & Chips". So heavily breaded, with one piece of fish being not piping hot but actually cold inside; and, limpy were the fries. Definitely not what I was expecting. I will read reviews first from now on before putting trust in just their name with any other of their locations. cheers!

Super pricey, strong vinegar tasting tartar sauce. Paper-thin fish fillets. Save your money. Eat on the ferry!

I ordered the fish and chip basket and it was absolute perfection. The fish was incredibly fresh and flaky on the inside, encased in a light, ultra-crispy batter that wasn't greasy at all. The chips were hot and seasoned just right, and the whole basket hit the spot. Great food, friendly service, and a welcoming vibe. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try out more of their menu. Highly recommend!

However today I was in the mood for a delicious, juicy hamburger. Salty Blue turns out to be a great place to go for that. My friend and I both ordered the Deluxe burger. It checked all the boxes for what you want in a great burger. I especially liked that it wasn't overcooked, still a bit pink in the middle. The fries were good too. It's just that I fill up quickly eating them. You could get a salad instead, which is very good, but I forgot. They also have a smash burger. I haven't tried that yet. The service is exceptional and beyond friendly. Whether you order seafood or something else, Salty Blue is a worthy destination. We'll be back.

It was a great adventure getting and beautiful site seeing as well. Service was on point, one of the workers there greeted us in our native language and it was a cute highlight and having a beautiful conversation with her. One thing I loved was the chutney mashed peas you put on top with the malt vinegar and tartar sauce. *CHEFS KISS* it was the best bite and I took everyone's mashed peas. All around 9/10 for us. It is a super small business so try to get there when the foot traffic is low because if not, you'll be eating under the gazebo across the street.

After a round of golf, we tried calling again, still no one picked up the phone, after 20 minutes, we decided that this is our last try before going to a pizza place. Then magic happened, someone actually picked up the phone, we decided to order to go since we figured it might be packed. Turned out the whole place was empty when we arrived to pick up our order. What?! Finally, the food, yes, it is actually the only fish and chips that is worth trying in Seattle. Fried fish, tender and juicy on the inside, thinly or lightly batter on the outside, although some area are starting to feel soggy because it was steamed in the Togo bag. But overall, still good. Fried oysters - so fresh and delicious, I can totally skip the fish and eat this all day long. We traded the fries/chips for the mashed peas and loved it. Hopefully, they improve the ordering system in the future. Otherwise, it can get quite frustrated.

We had the frozen margaritas and pina coladas - would definitely recommend the pina coladas. I had two raw oysters - both great choices, very fresh. I also ordered a small caesar salad and was asked if I wanted to add chicken so said yes. The shrimp cocktail was served with TAILS off (how does one pick up a shrimp with no tail?) and the shrimp were medium sized and PRE-dunked in the sauce. No lemon.I guess the kitchen does not know how to prepare a shrimp cocktail. The caesar was dried out chopped romaine pre mixed with jarred dressing and somehow dry and the chicken was a chopped up dried out FRIED chicken strip! The menu didn't indicate the chicken was fried & I have never experienced that unless as a special southern fried chicken salad. Very odd and really sub par food for this nice setting/location. Maybe hire an experienced chef. This was one step above McDonalds and not what a $32 experience should be

When we arrived we looked them up on yelp and they got 4 stars so we proceeded. We got in line around 1:30pm, Sunday, September 20, 2026. There was one party in front of us and they were told 5-10 minutes so when we came up in line they said the same thing to us. They didn't ask for our name or get our phone number. They just said stand to the side and she'd call us up and gave us a menu to help us to plan what we . And that's exactly what happened. We stood with the other group next to the posted menu. As promised we waited not more then 10 minutes. When we asked we stated that we'd take the first table, inside or outside didn't matter to us. We sat inside and it was a very nice seat. The restaurant was really busy when we arrived. By the time we left there were lots of open tables open. We ordered the halibut fish and chips to split. They went out of their way and split it for us. It was so nicely plated. We were impressed by the presentation. The meal was perfect. The fish was perfectly fried to a crisp and the fish was very tender and flaky and didn't taste fishy at all. The fries were crispy like I like them. For such a busy place we had great service. She checked on us several times and brought us more water and ketchup. I really like them dill tarter sauce. It was so tasty.

In a place where the typical oysters run $4 each, this is an amazing deal. The smoked seafood chowder had salmon, shrimp and cod. It was packed with large chunks of fish but only had a slightly smokey flavor. They have a salmon burger but it's really a sandwich as it's a whole piece of salmon filet in between soft buttery brioche buns. It comes dressed with lettuce, onions and house made tartar sauce. Once you pick it up, you cannot put it down. And the sauce will be all over your face. LOL It also comes with thick-cut fries that were surprisingly good (I'm usually not a big fan of thick fries but these were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside). Sitting at the tables outside is perfect for people watching.
