2 pc fish & chips and fish sandwich

Just finished our after Edmonds Marina walk with a delicious triple fish and fries with a side of Cole slaw! It did not disappearing fact all was exceptionally delicious! The batter on the fish was light and crispy just how fish should be. I was able to order on a kiosk which was very nice and easy. So excited to see a loyalty program now too! Of course I signed up for it!! They were busy and all smiling away. Love coming here so much! Thank you!

I have come to the Spud Fish & Chips by the Edmonds Ferry Terminal both with my parents and on my own, most recently this evening, Friday 21 July 2023. My first time with my parents was after the location opened up here, and my first time solo was tonight. I arrived around 6:45 p.m. and found one open parking spot by the windows marked pick up window. Out front of the entrance was a sample menu, which I looked over before making my way inside. Ordering was a breeze and there was seating available, a chair of which I used while waiting. The wait time for my order to be filled was approximately 12 minutes, I got a cod fish and chips with a side of tartar sauce. Cod was flaky and had a thin and crispy exterior without being too oily nor over-fried. For the tartar sauce, it was smooth and I used the whole container when eating my meal. The fries were light and fluffy. All three items were flavorful. I liked the paper wrapping for the fish and chips, it held the fish in place in my to-go bag and made easy the items less messy when eating.

Don't often write reviews but - this place was lovely. We popped in for a quick to-go lunch while waiting for the ferry. The staff was happy and kind, I really liked the art work on the walls. Everything was clean and efficient. The food was really good as well, very hot, maybe a touch too salty (but like not in a bad way?). I will admit the tartar sauce wasn't a huge hit with the whole family, but it's not bad, just not our favorite. All in all, we were happy with our experience.

This place is incredible. How have I been missing out on it all these years (and by years I mean 89 because it has been in biz since 1935!). Super friendly staff and nice, airy space. We ate outside. Had the halibut & chips and it was to die for. So juicy and crispy. Cooked perfectly and piping hot. I am in love. My partner had the fish sandwich & chips and it was outstanding. Delicious cod, so tender inside and crispy outside. Perfect blend of flavors with the tartar sauce & cheese on a pretzel-lookin bun. So good! Nice ambiance as one waits for the Kingston Ferry or the Amtrak in Edmonds. Don't miss it! And there is a Top Pot Donuts across the parking lot if you want something sweet.

Cod & Chips - heavily breaded cod, limpy chips; disappointing, not like the fabulous now closed Greenlake's location! (06/25/22)

I probably eat lunch 2 or 3 times a month in Edmonds. The codfish is always fresh and the fries crispy. Staff is friendly and attentive.

Food was great, one of the best fish and chips places we have been to. Definitely better than some areas in the WA and OR coast

Tiny fish filets. Not like Green Lake. Ridiculous. Overpriced. Never again at this location.

I came in for the first time about 30 minutes before closing and was welcomed by the most patient, kind young man who never made me feel rushed. He answered all my questions in detail and made the whole experience easy and comfortable. The portions were huge -- the fish I ordered was massive, moist, and absolutely delicious. You truly get your money's worth here. I wish I had taken a picture! I'll definitely be back, and I'd confidently bring friends here knowing they wouldn't be disappointed.

We came around noon on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy but there were still a decent number of people flowing in. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food when its ready. I got the cod and chips, with sweet potato fries instead of regular (for $2 more). The fish was gigantic and well fried, though I think it was a bit underseasoned. The tarter sauce was good but a little on the lemon-ey side for me. I did really enjoy the sweet potato fries - crispy and fluffy. It's a big plate of food for a pretty reasonable price. I did enjoy it, but it didn't leave a really lasting impression so I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

You don't see that anywhere else, and this place has moved into one of my new top five fish-and-chip joints. No need to explain what I already ordered; we just happened to come here on a random trip. Figured we'd check it out before we catch the ferry to Seattle, stop over here at Proper Fish. Next time, I want to ask for mushy peas because I like my veggies. I kind of liked it, but definitely haven't experienced that with fish before. The fish itself, cod, was fine--not much flavor but that's cod. The tartar sauce was a standout: obviously homemade with a great lemon flavor. The fries: these tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for quite a while. Warm but not crispy (except the tiny bits). Considering that there was an almost continuous flow of English fish and chips coming out of the kitchen and they were super busy, it's bizarre the fries weren't fresh. Almost flavorless. Cod chowder: I honestly couldn't tell which chunks were cod and which were potato. Super bland.

French 45 + Mussels + Oysters = Heaven!…read more I flew up from LA to visit my friend and she took me to her beloved mussel place and it did not disappoint! It is definitely a casual place, but a great place to enjoy the freshest oysters, savory mussels (that broth!) and the most refreshing French 45 cocktail to wash it all down. You order at the counter and take a seat either inside or outside. We opted to stay inside since it was getting a little chilly outside. Only bummer about being inside was that there were some flies that were circulating, but it didn't hinder our experience. We had such a great time that we somehow downed 3 French 45s each, had our own bowls of mussels and shared 24 oysters. We were having the time of our lives!! The staff there was also super accommodating and had a great vibe! Such a cool spot! Wish they had this back home because I would be here all the time.
