We chose the house special sauce and elected for level 2 spice. The boil came out quickly and we were mostly happy with the spread. Although the sauce was not as expected. It was really thick and way too sweet without much balance to it. We really did not taste any of the cajun spices or anything. The seafood itself was also just okay. Not amazing but not bad either. We left full but not super satisfied and I don't think I would recommend this place over other seafood boil spots.

In fact, many restaurants now close their kitchens to orders 30 minutes before that closing time; so stop acting so freaking entitled when you go in that time window. Okay, on to this place. We LOVED it. The service was friendly and helpful. No, it's not the fastest in the world, and mistakes were made (one for us with an ingredient we're allergic to--so ALWAYS double- and triple-check), but we didn't expect it to be. It was fine. The food was wonderful. These are Peruvians, and these are their family recipes. They may be different from certain other Peruvian family recipes. So what. Deal with it. The food was great. There were three others dining onsite, but also later overheard phone orders taken followed with brisk takeout pickups. They also have the capacity for catering with product, prices, and serving pan sizes posted on the wall. The Homie ordered the loco moco with overeasy eggs, plus their standard cheeseburger. He was pretty happy with the outcome. Consistent to his previous experience, but also took note of the quality and reasonable cost for the cheeseburger. I opted for the laulau plate which came with the requisite two scoops steamed rice and one scoop mac (Hawaiian style macaroni salad) with a sizeable laulau. I unwrapped the outer ti leaves and cut into the taro leaves (steamed like spinach) to reveal succulent pork and tender butterfish inside. This was great with a little added shoyu. Spot on delicious! The ice water also hit the spot. Perfectly chilled without any aftertaste from a pitcher. None of that tepid water in a stoppered top glass bottle or carafe. Refreshing!
