Wonderful little family-run Peruvian restaurant that's worth a visit. Ignore the posts/reviews about "service is bad." It's not. It's a small family-run place. Honestly, I get really tired of some Yelp reviewers who act so entitled and belittle a small place like this--it does not reflect well on the Yelp community. And here's a hint, you don't go to a restaurant 45 minutes or shorter before closing time and expect a perfect experience. In fact, many restaurants now close their kitchens to orders 30 minutes before that closing time; so stop acting so freaking entitled when you go in that time window. Okay, on to this place. We LOVED it. The service was friendly and helpful. No, it's not the fastest in the world, and mistakes were made (one for us with an ingredient we're allergic to--so ALWAYS double- and triple-check), but we didn't expect it to be. It was fine. The other reviews are veryyy correct about the service. We came 40 minutes before close and were the last customers. Upon entering there was no welcome in, no smiles, and it really felt like we were intruding on a thanksgiving family dinner in someone's home or something. My boyfriend described the vibes as hostile. Very unfriendly. Seems they had the whole family there. 2 kids running around, a husband and wife and the parents eating dinner and maybe celebrating a birthday. Our waitress went back to eating her dinner after giving us our food. She never wrote down our order which made my boyfriend nervous and he turned out to be right. After the appetizers the main entrees came out and my man received the correct dish but I did not which was extremely disappointing as I knew saying anything would just cause a back and forth or they would be frustrated as it was close to closing time. I decided I would take the L and just eat what I could and take to go as the vibes were bad. I was very sad though as this was our Valentine's dinner together and where I was looking forward to go :( I drove an hour just to come to this restaurant and it was a disappointment. We decided IF we did return maybe only come in the hours between 12-3pm as maybe we might get better service as they won't be ready just to go home and eat dinner.... I don't know though it was so disappointing I don't think it'd be worth maybe getting disappointed again. My man is Peruvian and we enjoyed the appetizers. We have definitely had better but the flavor was good. The main entrees weren't anything special or memorable though. Instead of closing at 7pm on the 13th, they should've closed maybe 5 or 6pm since they weren't in a great mood or prepared to be serving anyone or maybe do to go only orders? A must try! I've never had Peruvian ceviche and when we decided on it and upon walking in and seeing the chef, I instantly knew I needed to order it and that it was going to be sooooo good! I was not wrong! It was not what I expected but everything I was hoping for and more. This should be a must!! My husband got the Milanesa de Pollo and he really enjoyed it too. They did take a little bit to make but it was so worth it because you could taste the freshness! Service was absolutely amazing. As someone who's lived in South America and Miami, I've had my fair share of Peruvian food. This restaurant has a good selection of dishes, everything was tasty and the service was nice, but not outstanding. The music was LOUD and the clips were playing on the three screens they had hung all around the tiny place. Rinconcito is a very small restaurant. We saw several clients come in a walk out because there wasn't enough seating available at lunch time on a weekend. The door didn't close well and we kept being gushed by the freezing wind, which nobody seemed to notice, so we kept closing it ourselves (we have babies). We ordered three non-alcoholic drinks, two dishes (pescado a lo macho and tallarín a la huancaína with meat), yuca frita, plus the warm sweet rice and jelly dessert (forgot the name). Tasty, but not memorable. Everywhere else we've had the pasta with meat on the side it's been steak, the juicy kind. This meat was FAR from a steak. It was some thin cut meat with lots of nerving running through it. Not at all what we were expecting. We paid over $107.34 with tip and the 10.6% Lynnwood taxes, which was much more than we think the meal and experience were worth. They also charged us $3.25 for a glass with ice!! We'll keep on looking for our go-to comida Peruana.. This was NOT it. read more

Wow! We saw this place recommended in a Reddit thread, so the next day we grabbed our Peruvian friend and made the trip over to Rinconcito Peruano. She confirmed that it was the best Peruvian food she's had, besides her family's cooking haha. As soon as we sat down the staff greeted us with menus and a run down of the specials. The restaurant is cozy, has lots of fun art, and seems very clean. We ended up ordering Ceviche de Pescado, Lomo Saltado, and Aji de Gallina. All the dishes were fresh, delicious, and were great portions. The ceviche was definitely the star of the show! My husband and I have only had Mexican ceviche, so this was a new preparation for us. The quality of the fish was top notch. We loved the balance of the lime juice with the sweet potatoes and other sides. Finally able to find some great Peruvian food outside of Seattle. It's a small restaurant but was pretty busy for lunch. The menu has all the staples you'd expect. They also serve beer. Food is really fresh. The ceviche mixto had great flavor, the lomo saltado and parihuela were really large entrees. Parihuela had tons of seafood in it and the broth taste like it was just made. This is literally an overpriced hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere. The food though, the food is AMAZING! For being Seattle, and Peruvian, hands down the best Peruvian food around. Finally found a local Peruvian eatery that not only served some good food but the family hospitality was on par too! We had the Lomo Saltado with tender beef tenderloin slices, sauteed with onions, tomatoes, aji and other spices and served under a bed of w french fries and rice. The large portion of Jalea De Mariscos was a stacked deep fried delight of fish, octopus, yucca and shrimp topped with pickled red onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and choclo (large corn) and a creamy tartar sauce. The Arroz Con Mariscos came with seafood cooked in a chili pepper tomato sauce under a bed of rice. The three items we got which are moderately priced was more than enough to feed three. Came here on a Sunday morning, right after they opened for Father's Day. My spouse is Peruvian and was craving some authentic eats - this definitely but the spot! On sundays they serve a traditional breakfast platter with coffee, which my partner ordered. i love the Ceviche de Pescado! how did i miss this little gem's opening 2 years ago in my very own neighborhood? shame on me. if you're looking for roast chicken, you need to go down the road. so, back to the Ceviche de Pescado: the fish is fresh, the fish is sweet, and it is marinated for the proper length of time so it's not over-cooked and shriveled up and overly sour from the marinade. sometimes i swing into Rinconcito Peruano just to get an order of the ceviche to go for snacking later in the evening. the decor is somewhat kitschy but not overwhelming. the tvs are set to a spanish channel and it's usually a soccer match. the clientele is 98% Latinx. the food is delivered fresh and hot. the single waitperson is friendly and helpful. i think there is one person in the kitchen. Rinconcito Peruano is now a favorite stop for me. Tallarin Verde con Milanessa: delicious! the pesto pasta and the perfectly deep fried chicken breast was a perfect pairing. i think the milanessa sandwich would be very satisfying. Anticuchos: as expected. a very generous serving. very delicious. Sopa a la minuta: the meat seemed a bit dry but the flavor of the broth was new to me and tasty Lomo Saltado: no surprises here. the beef was a bit dry. still, had the right flavor. Papas Relleno: a favorite dish i order at every Peruvian restaurant. this one was very good. tender, moist and obviously freshly made. it was bit expensive imho for a single serving, but i will continue to order. there are many more dishes to try. highly recommended read more

The seafood platter that had ceviche, jalea and arroz con marisco was the highlight of my day! It was delicious! They certainly know their way around seafood, the jalea was tender, but crunchy, tasty, not just fried food like some places, really tasty. The arroz con marisco was cooked perfectly, tasty and juicy, and the ceviche as well. Now, to be completely fair the lomo saltado wasn't A1 but it was tasty, the fries were too tough for my taste, I just wish they would fry their own potatoes, and the meat was a bit tough but it had good taste and the rice was delicious I didn't love the Mango juice but it's hard to find good fresh Mangoes this part of the country so I understand. The food is good. The place is small, cute. Bathroom is clean. The lady that cooks the food is a very sweet lady and she seems like a very hard worker. There is young lady with curly hair who is a server and she is so rude and condescending. I have been there several times, but the times she took care of us, all we wanted to do was leave the place. We didn't even want to ask her for anything else because we had it with her attitude. We only stayed those times because of the cook. She was so polite and sweet and we didn't want to harm her in any way. So I guess my advice is mixed. Go there for the food and for the lady who cooks, but ask for a different server if that young lady is there. I have to give it one star because something has to be said about the rude and awful service we get from this young lady. It ruins completely the whole experience. So sad. I do order on Uber eats and it's fine, but I will not go in person because I do not want to deal with that server. read more

Maybe it's a whole different experience when you dine in, but my takeout order was very underwhelming. I ordered the pollo saltado. Meh. The flavor was excellent but the ingredients were very low quality. They clearly used a cheaper cut of chicken that was tough and hadn't absorbed the sauces. The dish comes with French fries and rice, which accounted for about 80% of what came with the meal. There were only two tomato slices, which was disappointing because they were delicious. My biggest gripe was that I ordered two entrees for pickup and was notified that they were ready for pickup not more than 2 minutes later.
