Ok! This has to be hands down the best pour over in the bay. I didn't know that an unassuming setup like this in a foodpark can extract such flavor from the beans. The competition beans have my endorsement and I shall come back often to try out more. The barista was so patient in explaining the offerings and suggested a light roast for the coffee.

This has got to be the most expensive coffee I've paid for to date. Nonetheless, it was sooo good! This coffee truck is located in Spark Social Food Truck Park, which is across the street from UCSF at Mission Bay and a few blocks from Chase Center. The truck itself is bright red, and there is a good amount of tables and chairs for seating. They have an extensive menu with a lot of seasonal drink options. I loved that, but it also made it very hard to decide which drink I wanted. The staff member at the register was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I ultimately decided to get an iced mardi gras ($6.50). I upsized to a large (+$1.50) and subbed oat milk (+$1.00). The drink came to a grand total of $9 before tip. The drink was very delicious. It was rich and had an almost chocolatey and nutty flavor. It was unique, and I loved it. I would definitely get it again. Overall, this is a solid coffee spot.

An unassuming little coffee and treats place since it's just at the entrance of Spark Social. It's my favorite place to get a warm beverage (they also have cold drinks)! I don't drink coffee but I love the Hojicha Tea they have here! I order it hot and it's always delightfully cozy without being too sweet or milky. The cashier has always been friendly, and the drinks come out fairly fast. They have so many specialty drinks and food that I would love to try -- can't wait to be back!

The breakfast sandwich is mostly lettuce with a hint of egg salad and maybe 1 slice of prosciutto for $14

I was suuuper excited to try this place but it's just not my cup of tea. It's extremely OVERPRICED for what it is and lacking overall flavor. Cup of coffee is $8.50 + $1 for non dairy milk so it's $9.50 for a medium iced coffee. Their coffee menu is really bizarre it reminds me more of a sushi menu with ponzu and miso ingredients making it difficult to figure out what to order. I ordered the Mardi Gras's, very chicory, I added my own creamer when I got home Salmon sandwich- barely has any salmon, is mostly lettuce. I did enjoy the hint of wasabi flavor. For $14 I would expect a more generous amount of salmon. Breakfast sandwich is not breakfast AT ALL. It's literally egg salad sandwich and lacks flavor and again is mostly lettuce. For $14 I would expect ALOT more flavor Overall 2 sandwiches and 1 coffee cost $42.

I love hojicha and was surprised to see it here at Spark Social! Their hojicha is not too strong or too light which I like. It was not overly sweet but just good enough. Wait time to get the drink is average but wait time to order can get long. I just got lucky. Spending $6 for a hojicha latte is totally not worth it but considering it to be good, it was fine with me

They open pretty early for a food truck at 7am so I'll treat myself to Spro once in a while if I don't have to be at work right away. I've tried their hojicha latte and hong kong style milk tea and they both hit the spot on a cold morning. The bagel with salmon is nom worthy however, it's pricey and small. The menu has quite a few interesting items you wouldn't typically see at other coffee places such as a japanese mochi waffles, salmon miso salad, umami bomb avocado toast and a matcha cookie. I'm not a coffee drinker but they do have a good array of coffees to choose from as well as a few smoothies. Don't forget to check the menu on their food truck for they offer more drinks from mochas, teas and pour overs. The employees are nice and the drinks are ready within minutes. They have plenty of seating nearby. I don't come as often as I'd like to due the pricing, so I'll slowly make my way to the food and pastries menu. Take a break from Blue bottle and Starbucks and show this Spro some love!

I ABSOLUTELY loved this little coffee shop - truly a hidden gem in Mission Bay. I got their Spice Islands drink and was so surprised by how flavorful it was. It was the perfect balance of coffee flavor and delicious cinnamon/nutmeg flavors. It reminded me of a dirty chai (but even better). They have numerous milk options as well! The staff was also very friendly and there was practically no line when I came for my morning coffee. It seems you can also pre-order and pick up your order at the front! I will 100% be coming back to try out their other drinks and food options.

Love the vibe here! Came on a busy Sunday afternoon and grabbed a seat with a street-facing view inside. There's ample seating and saw quite a few folks studying or working here on their day off. I love the minimalist design and modern red accents. We enjoyed our drinks, although I wish my iced Orange Blossom Latte had less syrup + was less sweet overall. The more I sipped away, the more syrup I got and, by the end, I just gave it to my partner, since it was overwhelmingly sugary. My partner grabbed the Coco De Mer (hot), which came in a nice mug and was - and I quote - the "best latte he'd ever had." Pretty high praise, I must say! It was creamy, rich, and more balanced when it came to sweetness. My tip - ask for less syrup in the specialty lattes, if you're used to having little to no sweetener on the daily. We didn't get any food, but saw many enjoying their toasts and sandwiches!

SPRO is slowly becoming my go-to coffee + breakfast spot! Please do yourself a favor and order through Uber for pickup because it can be a long wait especially during the weekends. Items here are actually pricey $12+ for food, $8+ for drinks but this is the new food industry. Hojicha (iced) - Very light in flavor! Imo hojicha drinks can be pretty overwhelming but SPRO does it right. It is almost creamy but perfectly balanced between hojicha and milk. Tokyo rose (iced) - Again, very light but you can definitely taste matcha + rose in this drink. It is aromatic as well. I found that it tastes a lot better with oat milk than whole. Breakfast sandwich - Making this with croissant *chefs kiss*. It was JUST perfect. Pretty small serving too but in terms of the taste, all the ingredients are perfectly balanced in flavor. Umami bomb - *Chefs kiss*. I LOVE this. I only wish more of ikura was served on this but the taste is just perfect. Each bite was literally bursting with so many flavors.

An enjoyable truck with pretty good food. I usually get the ube cookie and salmon sandwich from here. The ube cookie is nice and chewy with oatmeal and coconut bits. One of the better ube cookies out there because it's not too sweet. And the salmon sandwich is interesting because they use a wasabi honey cream cheese, which works surprisingly well for such a strange sounding combination. The bagel has a good chew as well. Sometimes it's a little sweet though, but that's the only negative. A really well thought out place to get your cafe goods.

Wow, some of the most unique coffee drinks I have ever had. I definitely want to come back and try more! - Spice Islands: Got this less sweet and wow it was so smooth and creamy without being overly rich. This drink had a nice kick to it with the spices and nutmeg flavor while also having a smooth yet subtle chocolate-y flavor. I do not really like rich hot chocolates and this tasted like the perfect mocha drink with nutty flavor. - Pixie Dust: I was so shocked upon first sip. The drink was not sour at all like I thought and the oat milk made the drink so creamy. The yuzu added such a citrus-y delight and the orange zest also added a kick to the drink. Definitely one of the most unique drinks I have ever had... the flavors all complemented each other so well while still giving me the caffeine I much needed.

They have expanded food menu. The food and pastries are just as decadent and unique as their drink offerings. We tried the truffle pillow (beautifully sprinkled with gold specs) and mochi waffle this morning; both are top notch. read more

The drink tastes ok, just a normal iced oat milk green tea Iatte, nothing special. Guess what, they put it in a 12 oz cup and only filled it to just a little over half full since I didn't want any ice in it, I just don't want it to be that cold and water down the drink as well. That's was less then 8 oz that I was getting, only two or three mouthful of sip and you are done! That drink costed me $5.50. Is the ingredients so expensive and only giving this little products to your customer? If you don't mind this high cost to product ratio, you are welcome and order your drink. read more

The cold fashion is a wonderful concoction: citrus, smooth carefully crafted coffee on ice that just makes your Sunday. A healthy portion of the "Steak and Eggs" will keep your tummy in good spirits as well. Come early though the food goes quickly. read more

My new go to place for coffee in SF. I love their menu. Tasty food and delicious coffee. Their staff was knowledgeable and friendly! We tried the Umami Bomb (avocado toast with Umami), Southern Belle (red velvet waffles with whip cream) and the Smokin (smoked salmon on toast with veggies, ricotta and honey wasabi aioli). We drank down the cold brew and their Coco de Mer (Tcho dark chocolate, coconut, espresso/spro, condensed & whole milk). read more

If you get a chance to, I recommend stopping to chat with the owners Rich and Liza to learn about their vision behind SPRO. For instance, the small plates are meant to be a gastronomic distillation of the essential flavours you crave - instead of a traditional black forest cake, you get the best of the best: gooey chocolate brownie, cream cheese frosting, rum, and the classic Italian luxardo cherry. Such a great place to visit for delicious coffee and food/treats - Spro really puts the "lab" in coffee lab to work - and the results are tasty and delightful! Love that this place has opened in Mission Bay at Spark Social and can't wait to try all of the different drinks and menu items. The texture on the creme brûlée was exquisitely smooth and the Cool Hunter cold brew with elderflower and grapefruit bitters may now be my new favorite cold drink...until next time. Seasonal and "fancy" drink menus in addition to versions of classics such as espresso ("spro"), gibraltars, cappuccinos, and mochas. So glad to have Spro in the neighborhood and looking forward to being back very soon! read more

really creative coffee, tea, and cocoa drinks. very tasty and novel. would not recommend the food though. so expensive for such little portions. most importantly- DO NOT GET ANYTHING "SOUS VIDE" there like the sausage! one bite and it seemed completely raw, pink inside, soft (not plump or juicy). my girlfriend took a chance eating it thinking it was just their method of cooking but she got serious food poisoning, feeling the indigestion almost immediately. willing to give this place another visit for just their coffee drinks. gonna pass on the food though and you should too. read more

One of the best new additions to the Spark Food Trucks and to Mission Bay. Unique coffee drinks with even more unique food bites. Tried the Fifty Shades (tea) on the rocks and it was delicious and the Spice Islands (coffee) on the rocks which definitely was one of the best spiced coffees I've ever had. These guys know what they are doing and appreciate the experimentation of flavors. Looking forward in trying all the different varieties. This place is going to catch on and hopefully they won't lose this convenient truck location since Mission Bay needs this type of awesome beverage/food option. read more

This might have to be my favorite coffee shop in the area! Best use of counter culture coffee I've had in a long time. Even when they're busy the coffee and food comes out quick and tasty. Very creative menu with the coffee mix drinks. My favorite is the cold fashion. Their play on a old fashion mix drink . And for their food... really high quality and fresh ingredients. Initially, I was excited when SPRO Coffee Lab arrived at Spark Social SF because the previous coffee cart had left. I was bummed because it's close proximity was convenient to me since the food truck park was just a short walk away from my on-campus housing at UCSF Mission Bay. However, SPRO Coffee Lab has not only filled a void, they have exceeded my expectations. I usualy order a pour over, but occasionally I order one of their green tea options. Both Geisha and Shiro are awesome, and they also offer a variety of non-dairy milk options, like almond and oat milk. I also have enjoyed their version of the avocado toast they call Unami Bomb. Their desserts are amazing and small enough that you do not feel like you are over indulging. I especially like their version of a brownie called Black Forest. Most importantly, their costumer service is excellent. Their team is friendly, and will remember your name when you frequently visit. The owners are present and love to help their costumers make a decision on food and coffee pairings. Overall, the coffee, food, and customer service are a notch above. The owners of SPRO Coffee Lab know coffee, and the menu is an indicator they are enthusiast about the product/experience they offer. Needless to say, I am a loyal costumer even after moving a little further south to Dogpatch. Hope you enjoy this SF gem! read more

After trying everything on the drink menu, I've been impressed with them all. The spice island is particularly good, but there are other novel options like orange blossom, red velvet, and a matcha latte. Nearby trucks offer quite a bit of food options, but don't overlook your choices here. The bread pudding was an excellent dessert. read more

This was very different than an ordinary coffee shop. I've get all their over the top drinks - these are cocktails reimagined with coffee or tea as ingredients instead of liquor. Cold fashioned was the best. It's also in a great picnic location. read more

This place has all the makings of an sf food phenomenon. I had the creme brûlée today which was honestly the best creme brûlée I've ever eaten. I got my husband the bread pudding and he was blown away by it. The rest of the menu looks just as fabulous. Go before it's overrun. read more

Came here on a beautiful SF day with hot weather, sun and blue skies. The menu is very unique and unlike any other coffee spot I've been to. I couldn't decide what I wanted (because I wanted everything), but ended up going with the Geisha (matcha with milk and honey). I skipped out on the honey, but the iced matcha "latte" was really good. I still think about it. It was whisked perfectly and had a smooth, intense, but not over-powering matcha taste. I highly recommend trying the Geisha at Spro Coffee Lab next time you stop by Spark Social. read more

OMC, soooooooooooo awesome. The Spice Island is off the heeze. A little on the sweet side, but fantastic. Have also had the Gibraltar here (incredible!), so I know they are starting with an amazing espresso and not trying to mask a subpar coffee with fixings. read more

Really good drinks in the perfect location! Came by a couple weeks ago and tried the Spiced Islands. What makes Spro unique is its vast selection of drinks that appeal to anyone, definitely would like to come back and try more off the menu. Additionally, the customer service is great. The owner seems to really care a lot about everyone's food/drink experience and the workers seem equally as excited to help craft them :) Definitely recommend read more

Spro is the best! Perfect addition to Spark. Their drinks are awesome and the baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend the steak salad. The ribeye is incredibly flavorful and only $12! Will definitely be back to try more of their menu offerings. read more

This is my favorite coffee place. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I've tried almost everything on the menu and I love it all. My favorite drinks are the coco de mer, fifty shades, the shiro, and the spice island (I get all of my drinks iced). If you're looking for desserts, either of the creme brûlées, the bread pudding, and the Black Forest are delicious. Not only is the entire menu phenomenal but everyone who works there is extremely friendly. read more

I was finally able to check out this place and I'm just blown away. The people here are so nice and kind. The menu is really creative and I can't wait try everything eventually. But so far I love love love the Umami Bomb (basically avocado toast that tastes like sushi), crab cake, farmer's market for savory bites. And that OAT MILK!!! I usually drink coffee without milk and even when I do add milk, I typically have not enjoyed any dairy alternatives combined with coffee. But the oat milk is so creamy and goes with the coffee perfectly. It's good whether cold or hot. I'm addicted already!!! Love this place and can't wait to try more. read more

Delcious food with an attention to detail unlike other places with specialty coffee. Not only do they serve delcious coffee, their food is delicious. The staff is all very nice. There is indoor and outdoor seating; I was able to grab an empty spot late in the morning on a weekend, but I don't think seating is always readily available. It's not a huge space.

This is definitely one of the best coffee shops in San Francisco. The cafe has a ton of excellent food options. They even serve burgers! They're specialty coffee, similar to the likes of Blue Bottle or Sight Glass but definitely more creative if not higher quality. If you're living in Mission Bay or even in San Francisco, this is the place to go to. The coffee is delicious, the espresso is on point as well as their selections of pourovers. Apparently they rotate through roasters and curate their own, depending on what is out there seasonally. What a cool coffee shop! I asked about their specialty drinks and found out that they were inspired by drink in barista competitions. I've tried the espresso, or aka spro which is a slang for espresso, the pourover which is surprisingly pleasant and tea-like and also the madagascar. They don't use anything artificial and apparently only use organic coffees. They deliver food through Doordash/UberEats/Caviar/Postmates but available to pick up as well. If you're looking for a good bite to eat, check out the Umami Bomb or a bigger bite MashUp with their 12 hour sausage. RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. I recently visited the SPRO food truck at Spark Social and I must say, it was an incredible experience! We tried the spiced island hot drink, Indian summer cold drink, coco de mer hot drink, and the strawberry guava mochi waffle, and we were blown away. The drinks were hands down the best espresso-based drinks we've ever had. They struck the perfect balance - not too sweet or rich, just incredibly smooth and delightful. What impressed us the most was the temperature of the hot drinks. They were served at the ideal temperature, so we didn't have to wait long to take that first satisfying sip. The menu was so tempting that we couldn't resist going back for the coco de mer hot drink, and it was just as amazing as the others. As for the mochi waffle, it was a pleasant surprise. It was light and airy, completely defying our expectations of mochi being dense. Needless to say, we'll be returning to SPRO food truck to explore the rest of their menu. If you're a fan of perfectly balanced espresso drinks and delightful treats, I highly recommend giving them a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

I don't usually stop at food trucks, but I was in SF a few weeks ago and i've heard a lot about this place. I was in the area so I decided to stop by, I needed a "pick me up" so I ordered their black swan and the Umami Bomb avocado toast. The toast was the perfect amount of crunch mixed with all of its ingredients it was truly delicious. As for the drink, it was like heaven in a cup, 5 stars for sure! The atmosphere is nice as well as the people that work there, they were kind and knew what they were doing and held passion in how they represented themselves.
