Ok! This has to be hands down the best pour over in the bay. I didn't know that an unassuming setup like this in a foodpark can extract such flavor from the beans. The competition beans have my endorsement and I shall come back often to try out more. The barista was so patient in explaining the offerings and suggested a light roast for the coffee.

This has got to be the most expensive coffee I've paid for to date. Nonetheless, it was sooo good! This coffee truck is located in Spark Social Food Truck Park, which is across the street from UCSF at Mission Bay and a few blocks from Chase Center. The truck itself is bright red, and there is a good amount of tables and chairs for seating. They have an extensive menu with a lot of seasonal drink options. I loved that, but it also made it very hard to decide which drink I wanted. The staff member at the register was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I ultimately decided to get an iced mardi gras ($6.50). I upsized to a large (+$1.50) and subbed oat milk (+$1.00). The drink came to a grand total of $9 before tip. The drink was very delicious. It was rich and had an almost chocolatey and nutty flavor. It was unique, and I loved it. I would definitely get it again. Overall, this is a solid coffee spot.

An unassuming little coffee and treats place since it's just at the entrance of Spark Social. It's my favorite place to get a warm beverage (they also have cold drinks)! I don't drink coffee but I love the Hojicha Tea they have here! I order it hot and it's always delightfully cozy without being too sweet or milky. The cashier has always been friendly, and the drinks come out fairly fast. They have so many specialty drinks and food that I would love to try -- can't wait to be back!

The breakfast sandwich is mostly lettuce with a hint of egg salad and maybe 1 slice of prosciutto for $14

I was suuuper excited to try this place but it's just not my cup of tea. It's extremely OVERPRICED for what it is and lacking overall flavor. Cup of coffee is $8.50 + $1 for non dairy milk so it's $9.50 for a medium iced coffee. Their coffee menu is really bizarre it reminds me more of a sushi menu with ponzu and miso ingredients making it difficult to figure out what to order. I ordered the Mardi Gras's, very chicory, I added my own creamer when I got home Salmon sandwich- barely has any salmon, is mostly lettuce. I did enjoy the hint of wasabi flavor. For $14 I would expect a more generous amount of salmon. Breakfast sandwich is not breakfast AT ALL. It's literally egg salad sandwich and lacks flavor and again is mostly lettuce. For $14 I would expect ALOT more flavor Overall 2 sandwiches and 1 coffee cost $42.

I love hojicha and was surprised to see it here at Spark Social! Their hojicha is not too strong or too light which I like. It was not overly sweet but just good enough. Wait time to get the drink is average but wait time to order can get long. I just got lucky. Spending $6 for a hojicha latte is totally not worth it but considering it to be good, it was fine with me

They open pretty early for a food truck at 7am so I'll treat myself to Spro once in a while if I don't have to be at work right away. I've tried their hojicha latte and hong kong style milk tea and they both hit the spot on a cold morning. The bagel with salmon is nom worthy however, it's pricey and small. The menu has quite a few interesting items you wouldn't typically see at other coffee places such as a japanese mochi waffles, salmon miso salad, umami bomb avocado toast and a matcha cookie. I'm not a coffee drinker but they do have a good array of coffees to choose from as well as a few smoothies. Don't forget to check the menu on their food truck for they offer more drinks from mochas, teas and pour overs. The employees are nice and the drinks are ready within minutes. They have plenty of seating nearby. I don't come as often as I'd like to due the pricing, so I'll slowly make my way to the food and pastries menu. Take a break from Blue bottle and Starbucks and show this Spro some love!

I ABSOLUTELY loved this little coffee shop - truly a hidden gem in Mission Bay. I got their Spice Islands drink and was so surprised by how flavorful it was. It was the perfect balance of coffee flavor and delicious cinnamon/nutmeg flavors. It reminded me of a dirty chai (but even better). They have numerous milk options as well! The staff was also very friendly and there was practically no line when I came for my morning coffee. It seems you can also pre-order and pick up your order at the front! I will 100% be coming back to try out their other drinks and food options.

Love the vibe here! Came on a busy Sunday afternoon and grabbed a seat with a street-facing view inside. There's ample seating and saw quite a few folks studying or working here on their day off. I love the minimalist design and modern red accents. We enjoyed our drinks, although I wish my iced Orange Blossom Latte had less syrup + was less sweet overall. The more I sipped away, the more syrup I got and, by the end, I just gave it to my partner, since it was overwhelmingly sugary. My partner grabbed the Coco De Mer (hot), which came in a nice mug and was - and I quote - the "best latte he'd ever had." Pretty high praise, I must say! It was creamy, rich, and more balanced when it came to sweetness. My tip - ask for less syrup in the specialty lattes, if you're used to having little to no sweetener on the daily. We didn't get any food, but saw many enjoying their toasts and sandwiches!

SPRO is slowly becoming my go-to coffee + breakfast spot! Please do yourself a favor and order through Uber for pickup because it can be a long wait especially during the weekends. Items here are actually pricey $12+ for food, $8+ for drinks but this is the new food industry. Hojicha (iced) - Very light in flavor! Imo hojicha drinks can be pretty overwhelming but SPRO does it right. It is almost creamy but perfectly balanced between hojicha and milk. Tokyo rose (iced) - Again, very light but you can definitely taste matcha + rose in this drink. It is aromatic as well. I found that it tastes a lot better with oat milk than whole. Breakfast sandwich - Making this with croissant *chefs kiss*. It was JUST perfect. Pretty small serving too but in terms of the taste, all the ingredients are perfectly balanced in flavor. Umami bomb - *Chefs kiss*. I LOVE this. I only wish more of ikura was served on this but the taste is just perfect. Each bite was literally bursting with so many flavors.

An enjoyable truck with pretty good food. I usually get the ube cookie and salmon sandwich from here. The ube cookie is nice and chewy with oatmeal and coconut bits. One of the better ube cookies out there because it's not too sweet. And the salmon sandwich is interesting because they use a wasabi honey cream cheese, which works surprisingly well for such a strange sounding combination. The bagel has a good chew as well. Sometimes it's a little sweet though, but that's the only negative. A really well thought out place to get your cafe goods.

Open air, a mix of food trucks, people hanging out, dogs everywhere, and that easy San Francisco energy where you can show up however you are and it fits. It never feels like a production, just a good place to land. We have eaten our way through a decent chunk of the trucks at this point, and that is half the fun. One day it is something messy and indulgent, the next it is lighter, but it always hits. Grabbing a drink, finding a spot at the picnic tables, and slowly settling in as the place fills up is kind of the rhythm. It is social without being overwhelming, lively without being chaotic. What keeps us coming back is how consistent it feels in the best way. It is easy, flexible, and always a good time whether you stay for an hour or lose an entire afternoon there. It is the kind of spot that turns into a routine before you even realize it, and honestly, we are not mad about it.

Beyond that, the food and drinks are all food truck based. They are all quite good, and there's a wide variety of items. This also means a good variety for folks with different dietary needs, because they are mostly picking their own food. I have always enjoyed my time here, whether it's on company dime or if I'm just hanging out with friends. I do wish that there are more heaters around for the colder days but that's just life in the bay! It can be kind of cold and foggy all seasons here, so if you have a solid group of folks I'd recommend reserving a spot with a fire pit. One more note: parking can be tough. You either have to circle around for street parking, or rideshare here.

They need some kind of dipping sauce or something for it. Seasoning was not evenly spread out so some parts were saltier on the skin. Lots of herbs like thyme and rosemary. Just too bad the meat didn't stay juicy. 3.5/5 ROTISSERIE PORCHETTA SANDWICH ~ skin was crispy and burnt, so it was bitter yet crunchy. Pork was tender, but I didn't taste much of the jam. I did not like the bitter burnt skin. I personally thought it threw the flavor off. If it wasn't bitter, it would have scored higher. I always enjoy bread toasted when having a sandwich. Sadly, they don't toast it. My friend loves this sandwich and told me the skin wasn't supposed to be crunchy and burnt! So I'm assuming this wasn't typical. 3/5 The 4 of us shared the whole chicken and split the porchetta sandwich. There were plenty of craft vendors and food vendors, organized space-wise by category: craft vendors were closer to the entrance, food vendors were farther in. My favorites from the craft side were the amount of curated clothes sellers!! Soooo many cute jackets, dresses, tops, skirts, shoes, and bags. There were also a couple music stages playing music -- I liked that they had enough space between them so the sound didn't overlap when you were trying to listen to the artist(s) at either stage. The stage in the back was more of a DJ set, playing house music, and the stage in front had live music -- they had a full band and even a group playing an Irish jig earlier in the day, which was very fun. There were plenty of alcohol stations all around -- in the back, in the front, lining the whole perimeter of the event. There was also a good variety of crafts and a solid selection of food vendors. My only wish is that there had been more sweet options because there were tons of savory options. But overall, everything was very diverse, looked great, and was interesting and unique -- you had Nepali food, Indonesian food, Indian food, Mexican food, etc. -- very ethnically diverse. Overall, I think this is a great event and opportunity to spend time with loved ones (fun for adults and families alike!), grab a bite, and support local businesses! The friend I came with said the market has grown so much since before the pandemic, so it's lovely to see the community show up and show out for this. I hope OTG and WCC continue to host this market! Capelo's Barbecue: My friend and I ordered from Capelo's Barbecue's food truck. We got the 3-meat plate with beef brisket, pork ribs, and BBQ smoked chicken. First -- that line was hella long. We waited about 30 minutes (not including the wait after for the food), but it was fun since I had my friend to talk to. The layout of the menu and pricing were quite clear, so it was easy to decide what we wanted while we waited in line. Also, no dedicated seating area for the truck (night market!). The meats: beef brisket and pork ribs were an extra $2 each on the meat plate. The beef brisket was my favorite -- super smoky and so tender, almost melt-in-your-mouth, but not mushy. Just the perfect texture. Honestly, I wish it had a little more salt to add another layer of flavor besides just meat and smoke, but I still enjoyed the heck out of that brisket. The pork ribs were solid -- not the most amazing ribs I've ever had, but good flavor and texture. They weren't fall-off-the-bone tender, but they had a satisfying chew. I had to put some effort into tearin' the flesh from the bone with my teeth (as you do with ribs), and I liked that. The BBQ smoked chicken? Honestly, nothing special. It was a good, neutral option compared to the brisket and ribs, but the main flavor I picked up was black pepper. Solid chicken breast, but nothing memorable. Even the skin was meh. For the sides, we chose the baked beans and mac and cheese. The baked beans were wonderfully sweet and savory -- they paired perfectly with the BBQ. The mac and cheese was good and worked well with everything, but it wasn't particularly special on its own. Altogether, I think we paid around $32 for the plate. If I hadn't been splitting it with another person, honestly, I don't know if it would've been worth it -- but it was good in the moment. Quite tasty overall.

TWICE AT GOLDEN GATE PARK…read more In the past 11 months I've been to two exhibitions at De Young Museum. After the exhibitions instead of eating at the cafe in the museum I would look at food trucks at Golden Gate Park. After those two exhibitions I've ordered food from this food truck. The first time I came to Cochinita was in September after the exhibition featuring photos taken by Paul McCartney during the rise of The Beatles. The item that stood out from the truck was the elote tots. They were Mexican-style corn kernels top over tater tots. I am a sucker for tater tots. With sour cream and sauce I was worried if the tater tots would be soggy. The tater tots were still crispy. The complimenting textures of corn and tater tots made this a satisfying dish. The second time I came to the food truck at Golden Gate Park was the last day of exhibition "Monet and Venice." I was hoping to see if the elote tater tots were available; they weren't. I scanned up and down the items available listed on the food truck. One item that intrigued me was the tradicional - a plate with two types of fried tortilla. The panucho is regular fried while the salbut is fried with a puffy appearance. I love fried food, but these two tortillas weren't oily. These two kinds of tortilla fried dishes provided different textures to the toppings. I never ate Yucatan food before ordering food at Cochinita. If you are tasting a new cuisine you never had before ordering from a restaurant versus a food truck is different. Whereas in a restaurant while sitting you ask for recommendation whereas at a food truck while you're standing you go with your gut feeling. From my two experiences at the Cochinita food truck I ordered items I never had before and I enjoyed both of them. If I go to the Chochinita food truck at Golden Gate Park again and see elote tots, panucho, and salbut what will I order next time? I'm going to order an item I never had before.

My friend and I ordered the turmeric golden latte and the butterfly pea latte from the "botanical + herbal" section. Both drinks looked beautiful, but they tasted surprisingly thin and pretty flavorless. There wasn't much depth or richness, and we were confused because we expected a latte-style drink to include espresso. After asking the barista, we learned that the botanical + herbal drinks don't come with coffee or espresso at all. That wasn't clearly indicated, and the word "latte" definitely led us to assume otherwise. To their credit, the barista was kind and offered to add an espresso shot to my drink once I mentioned the confusion. After the addition, it tasted significantly better and finally had some body. I just don't understand why that wouldn't be the default or at least clearly labeled on the menu. The concept and setting are appealing, but the experience itself felt underwhelming.

So my burrito was pretty decent but I'm sure the actual vegan menu items are much better. The burrito was also not that big, I suspect the food truck serving sizes might be smaller than at the restaurant. Staff at the truck were really nice, and cut my burrito in half when I asked. Would definitely like to come to an actual restaurant to try the vegan menu!
