Indeed, it was square peg into round hole territory. So even though they surely have the right size at a grocery store, and even though there is a grocery store in this same strip mall development, I popped in to Ace. It's a smaller store, but still has all of the home basics for hardware. I prefer these place much more over massive warehouse big boxes, but the truth of the matter is that the big boxes have much more room for all kinds of items that Ace just can't carry. But garbage bags, they've got. Basic tools, paint, hardware, fasteners, garden supplies -- it's all here. I forget how country Ace can be as well; you can get a Red Ryder pellet gun at this spot. It's like hardware store meets farm & tack. A throwback to old school Provo. This development is always a bustlin' with some restaurants, grocery and hardware. That makes it super convenient, but also super busy. That's good news for Ace. I hope they're around for a while.

After the order was shipped (2 crates for 2 barn doors) UPS apparently lost the order which seems not very uncommon. Now, it would help of course if the shipping department would actually place several labels on it instead of writing on side with a marker the name and skew number. It doesn't take much and the number gets scrapped off...then what? The UPS hub where all the shipments get delivered first is as big as 3 football fields. 160 loading docks/doors...yes, 160...so if you ever have worked for FedeX or UPS you know how quick items get lost. 2nd order gets shipped after I had to complain...this time UPS messes up and delivers wrong item. After we finally receive both doors (3rd attempt) and hang the doors...OMG...the door handles don't line up, one is so crooked I don't even understand to this day how it made past quality control or to the paint department? Unbelievable! Again, I had to complain and was assured the doors will be replaced...which they did, but with shipping it took almost again 2 months and guess what? I only received 1 out of 2 crates and again no shipping labels on the freight. Quality: The doors look very nice but after 8months of this BS I'm sick and tired of it...this is not a "fake news" story but real life. Note: Both Artisan Hardware and UPS are at fault for their mistakes but it could have been avoided with a simple shipping label. Order at your own risk!

The only thing I can think of that isn't five stars is their small parking lot and they are kind of out of the way.

They told me how to install it and when I ran into trouble, they helped me over the phone. I somehow managed to destroy the old ridged supply line so I had to drive back the next day anyway. I bought a whopping $0.99 part but they the guys at Parleys were happy to spend 20 minutes explaining the difference between compression fittings and 1/2" FIP fittings for toilet supply valves....more than I ever wanted to know but they are clearly friendly and knowledgeable. I will be back for some larger purchases hopefully. The store is not as fancy as Lowes but their helpfulness makes up for that.
