I have had nothing but positive experiences with the Springs at Alta Mesa. All members of the staff are friendly and always resolve any issues I have in a timely manner. Elvis is great because he actually takes time out of his day every once in a while to play with the neighborhood kids in the playroom. They give the kids water and candy when they get off the bus each day. The neighborhood is kid friendly, however the Springs does hold parents accountable for disruptive children. I am not so sure about some of these other reviews because it's almost as if these people have been living somewhere completely different. I have never had an issue with roaches or any rodents for that matter. In any instances where we've had trouble (washing machine issues, flooding from upstairs neighbor), the staff has been very prompt to come fix things and were very apologetic. Once my upstairs neighbor made a mistake with her washing machine and water came through our ceiling. The maintenance supervisor, Miguel, showed up immediately to help drain the ceiling and put fans up to dry it all out. In a matter of days, our ceiling was fixed and repainted. Miguel was very apologetic about everything and Kristen, the office manager, offered to pay the difference in our electric bill if it increased from having the fans run. My family and I were going to move and rent a home this year but decided we would stick with the Springs for one more year while we prepare to buy a home. Renting from other companies just didn't feel right because we are so used to being spoiled by the Springs at Alta Mesa. I would absolutely recommend moving here to anybody. If you don't like returning clients phone calls you might want to apply for a job here they don't pay attention to their tenants they don't follow up on anything The only positive thing about this place was the maintenance manager and even he got treated like crap Watch out for severe hidden fees now you have to pay for the electric in the common areas what is the rent actually for? I lived in this complex for something like 10 years. I'm giving it five stars for primarily one reason: the Loft unit which I was living in. It's AMAZING. It's technically a studio, but it's a very large one. The main room is about 21 x 25 feet. There is also a bathroom, a washer/dryer, a walk-in closet, a kitchen area, and the big one...an attached garage! You cannot believe how much that spoils you. Lots of windows also for tons of sunlight. Anyone who ever saw my place always had the same reaction: it's amazing (my ultra contemporary furniture didn't hurt either). Maintenance was never an issue; call them and they're there. The management folks change frequently, but the person I talked to for at least some time past was Laurie, and she was very nice. The complex itself is very nice; they have the other stuff you would expect (pools, gym etc.). Their main office is also a clubhouse type area which can be rented out for functions (which we did once; it worked out well). The only thing that became a head-scratcher for me was the rent: at some point, they split it into the fixed monthly payment plus a variable payment (that was billed to "conservice") which included water, garbage, electricity and a few other things. Why did that include electricity if I was paying my SRP bill separately anyway? But yeah anyhow, if you can snag yourself a loft (they're pretty limited), get it for sure. So good. read more

You kept emailing me to give you a survey and rate my experience so here it is: I moved out of Springs at Alta Mesa back in May and they have been withholding funds from me by saying that I rented a garage in the last month of my lease and that never happened. Apparently they have a whiteboard method for keeping track of which resident have which garage and it baffles me that they won't just look at my statements to see I've never been given a garage key in the month of May. They said they'd be looking into it and still have had no update because all they do is erase the name in the box and replace it with another resident when they keys have been passed over. It's been over a month now and I'm livid that they won't give me back my money. It's their mistake that they made and it's not me who should have to pay for it. Someone needs to contact me as soon as possible because this is bullshit. Not to mention, they are the reason my dog was euthanized. read more

I have been renting here since last October and couldn't be happier. So much in fact that I just renewed my lease! The front office is helpful and super friendly. It's great they accept packages for you, especially in the summer heat. The landscape, pools etc are kept so nice! There are tons of trees in the complex, which make it super pretty (and help keep it a little cooler) and they are immaculately maintained. I haven't needed anything other than basic maintenance in my apartment, and it's easy to submit a request online. It's always been completed within 24 hours. I looked at a lot of places in the east valley before I decided on Springs Alta Mesa. All apartment complexes are not created equal - and the one stands heads above the rest. read more

The old management company was great, but Allison-Shelton just took over and they have been really rude and inconsiderate. They raised their rates seventy dollars first. Then they turned off our water to work on the apartment downstairs and didn't give us any warning or inform us. We also asked if our package came and the apartment manager told us if we didn't have a slip it hadn't come. We asked if she could check anyway because the person who sent it said it had been delivered and she said "we hold these as a courtesy. I could reject every package sent here if I wanted." The apartments themselves are fairly nice, they have large balconies, nice kitchens, and a lot of storage space. It can be a little loud if you get placed right off of McKellips, so you might want to invest in a noise maker at nights if you're a light sleeper. Fans in the living room and bedrooms. Good appliances. Fairly big tubs. So it's just a matter of is that good enough to put up with rude staff. read more

All was pretty good until a month ago. Had very few issues with anything. But once our apartment flooded rain water through our bathroom ceiling, it was all over. We had nearly 3 inches of water on our floor at one point. This happened to 62 other units in the community, most had it way worse than me. Getting it fixed has been a nightmare. Vendors are horrible and messy, and slow. They've left us a absolute mess in our bathroom that I had to clean myself. I was forced to stay elsewhere for 2 days for my drywall to dry out, then when we were about to come home, we had to stay away for 2 more days, then another 3 days. We couldn't even live here for a week. I'm not sure at this point what they'll do with rent cus I was not living in their community for a week and we were all told for the days we aren't there for the repairs we will not be charged. My rent is the same at the moment though. There's a lot of things that can be better here, they need to absolutely update everything. Appliances, cabinets, carpets, showers, sinks, you name it. Do some needed landscaping, fix the carport covers, there's a lot. Everything went bad within a matter of weeks here. The plus side to this is that Steven the property manager has been as helpful as he can be, very nice and communicative to everyone. But overall, I wouldn't live here ever again for the price. read more

DO NOT LIVE HERE! I REPEAT DO NOT LIVE HERE. This experience has been nothing but horrendous. ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES. We have had 4 in a month and all the leasing office will do is "try to rectify the situation". They have made it abundantly clear they do not care about our well being and to get over it. The leasing manager told us "I wouldn't complain about a roach once every couple of months or so". Also, if I were you, beware of working with Elvis from the office. He has been condescending, rude, had an attitude and has actually made me cry due to his yelling and disrespectfulness. I feel uncomfortable working with him and I do not know what kind of management or company would allow their leasing agents to speak to their tenants the way that he has spoken to me. He has made it very clear that he "would not live in a place like this" and that he thinks he is better than everyone here. It took 4 months for maintenance to change an air filter and replace the dryer. It took 3 months to get our leaking fridge replaced. I really wish I would have never moved into this apartment. You are trapped here unless you have thousands of dollars to buy them out, so until I can try to raise that money, I guess we will just live out this prison sentence. read more

never rent here!!!! worst place ever! horrible cust service. kristen, manager, is super rude, unfriendly, and not willing to help with situations that have come up. you can never get ahold of corporate when needing to escilate a situation. my fiance & i have been treated like crap from day 1. only reason i had to renew my lease was because the market was bad on buying a house. worst 2 yrs of my life. the only thing amazing about this place was the maintenance manager miguel. the only staff member that was friendly. if i could, i woud give 0 stars!! would never recommend to anybody! read more

I have lived here for a year now and I am renewing for another year. I love living here. The office staff is always very friendly, helpful and accomodating. If I ever have maintenence issues, they are taken care of quickly and I never have to worry about them leaving behind a mess. The maintenance staff is also extremely polite and friendly. I love the location of my apartment and the amenities offered here are better than other complexes I visited. They are also pet friendly and it's an awesome community to walk my dog in! I never have issues with safety, in fact I live in a ground level and feel completely safe. The other tenants all seem very cordial as well and it's a very family friendly community. The landscaping is very well groomed. I hope to continue making this my home for many years! read more

Run far away!!! I have had two floods in less than 8 months, they left me homeless and didn't repair the last flood appropriately so mold is probably growing as I write this. My kids bed and room were covered in ants. The mosquitoes are horrendous. The pools and hot tubs are down more than they are open. The staff is not helpful at all and the manager Kristen is clueless. She will just stare at you until you get annoyed and walk away because she literally has no idea what she is doing and doesn't know how to find out. I had to go to her boss and he said my flood from their washing machine was an act of nature ... again clueless. They will tell you it was built by a homebuilder so the floors and walls are thicker. Don't believe them!!! My kids get no sleep because of the neighbors. My toilet clogs every single day yet they don't snake it out. My oven electrocutes me and they won't replace that either. The patio is huge but you can't enjoy because they flood the place with sprinklers and have mosquitoes everywhere. My garage is two buildings away so I can only use it for storage. The maintenance are lazier than I have ever dealt with in any apartment. And be forewarned, if you get a flood, they will leave you there to help move all the heavy furniture with the carpet extractors, even when it's their property's fault. Highly overpriced for what you get. Move somewhere else and drive...this place is not worth the headache. I don't write reviews and I don't like to give somewhere a bad name but this is someone's home and they don't care!! read more

My name is Devon Caballero-Zarate, live in 2068 and have since Feb 2016. When I first moved in I was dealing with a stressful situation that had just finalized but was too fresh that most apartment communities wouldn't rent to me, so I thought I was going to end up being homeless. So when I stopped in to the leasing office and met Kristen she was very kind and professional and assured me that I had nothing to worry about. She was very understanding and stated that life happens and everyone just needs a helping hand every now and then to get back on their feet and she did just that. Kristen as well as the rest of the leasing office staff has always been very professional and courteous anytime I've either walked in or called and needed something done. Now the maintenance team is the absolute best out of any community I've ever lived in. Yes I understand that its standard to say 24-48 hrs that they will get to you but 9 times out of 10 they're usually here the same day or the very next morning depending on work load and if its something major I've had them show up at my apartment at midnight and not leave until everything was handled. So to sum this up don't take things for face value, find out for yourself. Anytime someone writes a negative review you have to honestly step back and look at both sides and wonder exactly who said what and how they approached the situation to begin with as I'm sure everyone knows there is 3 sides to every story (yours, theirs, truth) and the majority of the time anytime someone has a stellar experience they wont write anything as the age old mantra goes "No news is good news". read more

Do not live here. Maintenance people knocked on my door once and then just unlocked it and began coming into my apartment. No place for guests to park. Every spot is full and people here think they own the uncovered spots. My girlfriend's car has been keyed three times here. People are consistently parking in my assigned covered spot which is forcing me to find a parking spot sometimes in a parking lot outside the apartment complex. Management has been recently changed to a group of people who were worse than the previous management. They do not care about your concerns nor will they do anything about them. Can't wait until my lease is up to get out of here. read more
