3 words - horrible customer service. We ordered our son a pair of regular frame glasses and a pair of sports goggles for him to wear also on January 13, 2020. We were told we could either pay in full or pay half up front and then pay the rest when we picked up the glasses in 2 weeks once they came in. We chose option 2. My son's regular frames arrived on January 31 and my wife picked them up and was told that the sports goggles were not in but would be in any day now. Fast forward to last week, Monday Feb. 10 and my son's sports goggles had still not arrived. However, as we were discussing this, the office called my wife and was told by the "lead optician" there was probably something wrong with the lab, but assured her that she would call the lab and see what was going on and either call her back that night or the next day. Did she call back? Nope. I instead called them back on Thursday, Feb. 13 to see what the deal was as we had heard nothing. No answer. Voicemail. Left a message to call me. Did they? Nope. On Monday, February 17, after not hearing back still throughout the entire work day, I again called at 3:41 PM. No answer. Called back again at 4:15 PM and finally spoke to the "office manager" who could not explain to me WHY my son's goggles were not in yet. I mean, zero explanation. Kept blaming the lab. She said she would once again call the lab and see what was going on. On Tuesday, February 18 (yesterday), she called back and spoke to my wife around 11:30 AM. She told my wife that she had spoken to the lab and that they would be sending the goggles by FedEx overnight and we would have them today. At 4 PM today, again after an entire business day, we had not heard from them that goggles were in, so my wife and I physically stopped by to see if we could pick them up. Were they there? Nope. We spoke to the "lead optician" again and she said that she talked to the lab at some point earlier today and for some reason the lab had missed the cutoff for overnight delivery and that's why they weren't there. Did she call and let us know that? Nope. Instead, I had to make a trip out of my way to go to this eye care place and find out that still, after FIVE WEEKS, and after having PAID IN FULL, these sports goggles that were ordered on January 13 were still NOT THERE!!!! Needless to say, we wanted an explanation and some sort of apology. The "lead optician" was very snarky after my wife asked why no one had apologized or why they couldn't have taken the time to call us and let us know. She didn't seem to even care that we were upset. She just didn't want my wife yelling at her at their fancy front desk. Which my wife wasn't. So, after another promise that they would be here tomorrow, we left. In addition, we asked for an itemized bill, because we had some suspicion on our insurance as to how much our insurance actually paid. I'll just say their billing is hard to read and suspect at best. But still, you would think that after paying over $600 for glasses (and that's after insurance) that they would extend an apology or offer something to make it right. They offered nothing. I had to ask for money back. They gave us $100, but no apology. And oh...again....we still don't have the glasses. At least I got a free mint. read more

Based on all the reviews, I made appts for myself and my husband. The woman at the front desk was pleasant, the woman who did my exam was sweet and helpful, she took her time with me and answered all my questions. The doctor seemed new and not very confident in himself, but I feel like he got the prescription correctly assessed. That's the good. Then the place went downhill faster than a lead weight off a building. I was assigned to Caitlyn. She was rude, condescending and just overall unpleasant. She adjusted the frames I chose, marked them up, and sent them out. They came in and nobody called me to tell me they were in, so after several weeks I called to check on them. I went to pick them up. I couldn't see through them at all. They were way off. She told me to take them and wear them for a couple weeks to let my eyes adjust. I did and they were giving me terrible headaches. I brought them back, they did some adjustments and sent them out. Several weeks later, I went back. They were still off. Again, they made me take them and try to get adjusted bc they didn't believe me that I couldn't see clearly. So I went back and this time they made an appt for me to see the doctor again. He was upset with ME saying the prescription was right. I told him I agreed but the glasses were not correct. I had let him know that Caitlyn's response to me saying they were off was telling me they were "large frames and there's nothing they could do." I was annoyed with such a ridiculous statement. So we sent them out again, this time I went to pick them up and I told them when I put them on, I still couldn't read through them and they were still making me feel cross-eyed. Again, they told me to take them and try them for a few weeks. So I did. And now I have a $700 paperweight because I still can't wear them without getting horrible headaches. I spoke with Zack at the front desk about getting a refund so I could go elsewhere. He told me this isn't an option and became very rude to me. I tried to maintain my calmness and be pleasant, because you get more flies with honey than vinegar after all. But I give up. I just stop people I know from going there at this point. I'm upset and frustrated after spending so much money on glasses I cannot wear. My last eye doctor, before we moved to TN, was wonderful and I have never had such issues. I'm disgusted and disappointed, especially at that fact that these employees are so rude and unhelpful and think that's ok. read more

I've been a patient at Spring Hill Eye for 18 years, and it's disappointing to say that I will not be returning. Spring Hill Eye has always promoted itself as a hometown optometry office with a mission to treat every patient like family while providing quality eye care. For many years, that was true -- and a big part of why I stayed. Unfortunately, the practice has grown too fast and has lost sight of what made it successful in the first place. I have always loved Dr. Rob; he's the reason I stayed as long as I did. But the staff -- which seems to turn over every single time I come in -- no longer reflects the values this office claims to stand for. Customer service has declined to the point where patients feel more like an inconvenience than a priority. The front‑facing staff needs to remember that they are the first and last impression of the business. Lately, that impression has been disorganized, dismissive, and far from the "family‑like" care they advertise. After nearly two decades of loyalty, it's extremely disappointing to say that I will never go back. read more

Spring Hill Eyecare is the best. The wait time is very short, if at all. The doctor and staff definitely know what they're doing. The doctor seems to always know about the newest and best in available care and products. These are offered, if appropriate, and no pressure is given to accept them. He makes recommendations which are best for me. The staff is very patient while going over how much the insurance will pay. They have lots of nice frames.
