If you are in the military looking to have a uniform alternation or patch sewn on, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE. I needed to have my occupational badge sewn on my uniform and rank sewn on my hat. Since the base tailor was closed, I brought my items here. I asked the girl working if they had experience with mil uniforms and she said yes and that they are sent out to another woman for alteration. Fast forward 3 weeks and 5 visits later, it is still wrong! First time picking up items - Badge on blouse was upside down. 2nd time - badge was correct orientation but in incorrect spot. I questioned if they really indeed have experience with mil uniforms and was given the same response. 3rd time - The badge comes on a cloth square to be folded and stitched on; the cloth was not folded but rather the cloth square was sewn down as a whole (what?!) Also during this visit I received my hat back, in which the rank was not centered (not even close) and in the incorrect spot After this visit I was becoming increasingly frustrated and provided explicit direction on how to fix the issues (verbal, pictures, marked the correct location with chalk on the hat). I thought the directions were clear but I guess I was wrong. 4th time - I received my blouse back correct (finally) but the hat now had the rank sewn on sideways. At no time did I ever tell them to flip the rank; the only thing that needed to be done was have the rank centered. I provided them pictures (I sent the girl working a text with the pictures to avoid any confusion (still not possible at this location)). In person I went over the directions with the girl as I was now questioning my own sanity. (Another hint, there are instructions on google with pictures of the correct wear of the uniform/patches) 5th time - I picked up the hat and the rank was flipped back to the correct orientation but they did not center it! I don't even know what to say anymore. How much more clear can a person be (texts, pictures, written instruction, drew the correct spot, etc etc); I don't think the tailor has ever worked on a military uniform before. (for that matter, all patches on Air Force covers are sewn on the same way, so if you have done one, you have done them all!) Maybe I'm the idiot since I left the items with them after the 2nd mess up. I added a 2nd star because I received an $8 refund for the hat. Time wasted, money wasted. It was a fantastic wedding even with the rain (supposedly that means good luck?). The rain not only set a beautiful mist that made the whole lake look so mystical, but also was the reason I had to hunt for a dry cleaner who can handle a wedding dress with mud on the entire bottom that's been caked on for the 3 weeks while we were on our honeymoon. Miraculously, I had no wine stains and only mud which I still find it hard to believe with all the wine binging we did. I knew I had to avoid Manhattan Beach because I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg but wanted to get it back to a condition where I can sell the dress...and I was lazy... And there were no reviews about wedding dress cleaning at my normal cleaners so I was hesitant. So I tried this place which was around the corner from me. I took a bridesmaid's dress here for some alterations. It fit well but needed to be taken in at the hips and the hem need it to be pulled up a couple inches. I was extremely cautious and probably looked at about 5 or 6 tailors/cleaners if our choosing that's fine. They don't make the dress anymore, it's brand new, and if it got screwed up, I couldn't buy it a second time. I was so nervous! I have a tiny little fitting room so I tried on the dress and we pinned it where I wanted it. I was told it would be ready the following week, four or five days max. So I was nervous when I came back to pick it up and everything fit perfectly! I contacted them on Yelp, scheduled me for that day, and I got my alterations underway. Though they did have a problem with the measurements, Marko offered to come to my house or work to address those problems AND he offered to drop the finished product off with me. This small shop does an exellent job with dry-cleaning my pants, laundering my dress shirts, and minor alterations. The staff are very friendly, and they act as if they really care for your patronage. The only negative is that the shop is located in a tiny strip mall with a small number of tight parking spaces. Finding a parking space to drop off or pick up your clothes can be a challenge sometimes. read more

I've used Spring Cleaners for tailoring in the past; however, unfortunately I dropped off an item for tailoring, which they did incorrectly and used a color thread that did not match the rest for the clothing item. When I picked it up, I noticed the error and left it with them to fix it and specifically asked them to use a matching thread color (not a rare color, normal for any tailor/seamstress to have). They said it would be ready on Wednesday. I arrived on Friday and they told me it wasn't at their shop. All they said was "they got busy." They did try to make it right by offering to bring it to my home. I appreciated that but when it arrived the thread color was once again the wrong color (blue thread on an olive green item). The lady who dropped it off had nothing to say about the error except that they were busy, no apologies or recognition for this issue. A buddy of mine from work had recommended this dry cleaners I swung by probably 3 months soon as I transferred out here from the bay and was pretty content with the customer service and the location was basically around the corner from my man cave so I was stoked ! Until the last few weeks I've noticed or so it looks like it's undergoing new management because the nice girls who would help me are gone !! And so is the great work I was getting ! They're also moving to the busy street of Sepulveda or pch god knows ! But my button ups are looking like a toddler pretended to iron them and I got a few shirts that aren't mine in my last order I left a message with one of the new employees but I haven't even got a call back !! Every time I come here there are at least 3 police officers, homeland security, LAX security, mall rent-a-cops, parks and recreation workers, etc. Take that as an incredible good sign. This place way okay. The lady who helped me was sweet but the price for what I got cleaned was waaaay too much. About $5-$10 to dry clean each dress, sweater, and button up shirt was a downer. They had great reviews on help so I can during lunch as it was also convenient. With my 20% discount I still paid around $30!?! I guess I'm just used to paying $1.95 for any garment at Riviera in La Habra. I could have got 5 garments cleaned and still would of had enough to buy a $20 summer dress. This is my second Yelp review ever, despite relying on the site for recommendations all the time. I always figured it would take either a great experience or a really poor one to get me to write one. While I hoped for the former, I certainly got the latter with Spring Cleaners. I took a large load of men and women's clothes to be cleaned several months ago. Overall, for most pieces, I would say that they did a satisfactory job at best. The items were pressed, but didn't seem particularly well taken care of. I would have given them 3 stars. And, given their proximity to my new house, I would have likely given them more business. However, there was a (in my eyes) clear mistake made in the handling of one of my shirts. It is white and has small black spots. It was relatively expensive (~$100) and one of my favorite shirts. When I got the shirt home and went to wear it for the first time, I noticed one patch were the black spots were smudged and there were some grey spots right next to the black ones -- given the pattern, it indicated that the spots on the front of the shirt had bled onto the back of the shirt creating these lighter grey spots. There are no grey spots anywhere else. I was REALLY disappointed - it is noticeable enough so that I can no longer wear the shirt. When brought the shirt back to point out the problem, I was even more disappointed my how I was treated. The woman to I saw said she would point it out to her manager. I got a call from her later saying that it was part of the shirt design. When I told her it was not, she said her manager would call me back. He did and proceeded to give me the some of the worst customer service I've experienced. He refused to acknowledge that there was anything wrong with the shirt and he was very condescending and rude. In the end, he gave me a $20 credit on our bill (something that barely made up for how rude he was on the phone). If he had treated me with a little more courtesy and understanding, I could overlook a mistake. (Before moving the the area, other cleaners had warned me that this shirt could be damaged in dry cleaning, but it had been cleaned many times without problem.) Clearly this is something that could happen in the dry cleaning process, why not own up to your mistake? Why treat me like I don't know what I'm talking about. I will not be returning to Spring Cleaners. read more

I just moved to El Segundo and I had been looking for a good dry cleaners for a few months , I've had a few bad experiences with certain places so I was a bit skeptical but after reading their good reviews I had to give them a try so I just dropped off a very special dress to a young lady named Brenda to which i explained how much this dress ment to me and she went ahead and reassured me it would be fine so I left it she said it would be ready in only 3 days !!! I picked it up on right on time for the holidays and I was amazed at the wonderful job they did handling my dress , it had spots my old dry cleaners said were impossible to remove but when I picked up my dress from spring cleaners those spots were gone !!! A few weeks ago I used their laundry service and my clothes came back smelling weird. I figured out what happened is they had obviously been left sitting wet for a while creating mildewy smell and then washed and/or dried with a TON of detergent to cover up smell. Have used their dry cleaning which is reasonable and fine quality. Super nice people as well. If it weren't for my fluff/fold experience would have given a 4 star. read more

It's difficult to find a cleaner that you trust and know that what they're using to clean your clothes with won't damage them. Spring cleaners did exactly as expected. In fact, they over delivered.
