Caramel roll

We were in town for a Christian music festival in Isle MN and stopped here on the way home (10 hours away) because of the reviews. Service started a little slow to take the order, but they did just get slammed before we came in today. Once we ordered, it didn't take too long to get our food. The food tasted wonderful! We ordered a bunch of food (and 2 soft drinks) and only paid $40.

-#2 Two Eggs, toast, and hash browns 5/5 -Corn Muffin on the side 3/5 -Hunters Delight, Chicken Fried Steak 5/5 -BLT w/ fries 5/5 -Sliced Turkey on Cranberry bread sandwich5/5 We decided on this place because the reviews were great and we were hungry! We walked around 12:35 and it was busy but not too bad. The booths were a little cramped but comfy. Our Waitress was super nice and very helpful. The food came very timely and hot. The #2 breakfast was very yummy, the hash browns were the bast part and perfectly crispy. The corn muffin however was just weird and not what i was expecting. The hunters delight, had chicken that was done perfect and the gravy was excellent. The BLT has crispy bacon and very fresh veggies. The fries were definitely a favorite among us. The special lunch deal was a shaved turkey sandwich, it had very fresh bread and was just a perfect lunch. I would totally recommend this for a brunch or a family lunch!!

Delicious tender roast beef on my hot beef sandwich with some creamy mashed potatoes and had creamy coke slaw. Got to order a half size so liked that too.

Kari's Rating 9.5/10…read more We stopped here on our way up north. We also getting gas. This cute quaint little bakery has everything from reds to rolls to custards to doughnuts. It was so cute and family owned-I asked the woman working what's the most popular item and she said the caramel rolls. So of course I had to grab one of those. I also got the banana, walnut bread, A, custard filled doughnut with chocolate dollops on top, a glazed doughnut and an apple fritter. The custard chocolate glazed donut was perfect. As someone who is not a really big chocolate fan, these dollop of chocolate were perfectly spaced, and just gave the slightest hint of decadence. The caramel roll, wow I can definitely see how this is the most popular item at the bakery. You could tell the caramel sauce with slow roasted, and made from real butter. It was absolutely perfect. It was not as sweet as you think it would be as it didn't taste like there was a syrup, rather than a handmade almost butterscotch flavor to the caramel. I'm so happy the woman inside recommended this one! To learn that this bakery is just a one off family owned restaurant, made it that much more special. Everything I got there was absolutely incredible and wow. I'm so lucky to have been driving up this way on my vacation! Hopefully it won't be the last time I ever come here, but if it is-please bury me with that custard doughnut.

No trip to Hinckley is complete without a stop at Tobies Restaurant & Bakery. For generations, it…read morehas been a must-visit destination for travelers heading, making it much more than just a restaurant. It's a Minnesota tradition. As soon as I announced I was going to Hinckley everyone who had been told me I just had to try Tobie's. What makes Tobies special is the combination of comfort food, an incredible bakery, and the nostalgic feeling that comes with walking through the doors. Fresh-baked breads, pastries, pies, cookies, and their famous caramel rolls line the bakery shelves, while their signature cornbread is a favorite that many visitors take home. Be sure to browse the gift shop, where you'll find locally made products, snacks, and their popular popcorn blends that make great road trip treats or souvenirs. Whether you're stopping for breakfast before exploring the area, grabbing lunch on your way to a Hinckley Knights game, or picking up baked goods for the drive home, Tobies is part of the experience. Our favorites were the apple fritter and the caramel roll. We also picked up bread and English muffins. If we had any more room we would have tried the ice cream, but there is always next time.

Leader was incredible to our group of 13, and I couldn't recommend them more!…read more We were in town for a bachelorette party and wanted to stop here for brunch on the way home. We called ahead to make a reservation, which I highly recommend because they opened at 9 a.m. on Sunday, and by 9:05 the restaurant was already full with people waiting. Our server, Lily, was excellent! Our whole table wanted to make sure I left a review for her specifically. She was so respectful and incredibly polite when we asked her to take a group photo. The food was delicious. We had a couple of vegans/vegetarians at our table, and while they had a few accommodating dishes, I really wish they offered a vegan meat alternative. Lily mentioned they normally don't do substitutions, but she let one of the girls swap the meat for hash browns on the eggs Benedict--she was awesome! Also, the hash browns were divine. The restaurant is attached to a few small shop, which gave us the perfect post brunch shopping experience. The whole place is definitely worth a stop!

I used to frequent this place LOT more, years back, before I started working second shift, but…read moreeven the last time I visited, which granted, WAS nearly a year ago now, this bar and grill was to die for. As a couple other reviews have mentioned, the cheesecake MAKES this place, and if you don't like cheesecake, well, I'd say don't bother going, but then you'd miss out on all the delicious FOOD and DRINKS they have to offer! I'm personally fond of the Reuben, and one other sandwich I can't think of the name of, but it's soaked in brandy or something... ‍ And I don't drink alcohol, or I'd have something to say about THAT, but I do know they have a variety of libations on tap, if that's what you're into. personally, I go for the non-alcoholic Shirley Temple, which is served with a and a ! Food-wise, I try'n stick with whatever the daily special is, though I tend towards seafood in general. The steaks are cooked to perfection, as is everything they make!

BEE CAREFUL, YOU MIGHT GET " S T U N G " HERE…read more This looked interesting, and we were hungry for lunch. Walked in and went, WOW, how clean! It is a cute fisherman type bar on a lovely lake. Bellied up to the bar, and ordered drinks from a very nice bartender, Menu was righteous, oh boy, this is gonna be great! Downhill fast from there. Couldn't even taste the vodka in the cocktail. No IPA available, but beer was cold. We ordered 3 items off the menu and they all were practically inedible. Cheese curds were frozen from a factory, not worth the cheese curd calories :-( Soup was pure mush, but flavorful. Nothing like a mushy dumpling. Chicken salad tasted like chemicals, probably from french bottled dressing or lettuce soaked in chemicals. Yes, it took awhile to get our food, and no, not many other people in there. Hmm, the deck looks awesome. Bartender was nice enough to take the soup off our bill. Maybe she went and tasted it for herself. F I R S T T I M E L A S T T I M E
