Oh my gosh, you won't believe how amazing the "lunch" was yesterday! We discovered that they had breakfast all day, so we decided to grab breakfast. And let me tell you, the omelets were absolutely incredible! They were so fluffy and delicious, filled with all the fresh ingredients listed on the menu. The hash browns were also a hit. It was like a little slice of heaven in a cozy cafe in a charming town. It seemed like the whole community came in to dine right after we had arrived. Even though it got very busy, the young lady who served us was so friendly and kept everything running smoothly. Our only downside? We live 50 miles away in the Twin Cities metro. We would go there for breakfast often if we lived closer. But we'll definitely make it a point to stop whenever we're in the area. This place is a hidden gem, and we highly recommend it! Delicious! PS: Their open hours shown online seem to be an error. We stopped in at 1 PM and it was open and active.

Like other local cafes, people who know each other feel free to drop by their table to strike up a conversation. We were a little early for lunch, but no problem, feel free to order off either menu. I had a veggie omelette. I don't remember what mom had but she liked it so much, she didn't save half for the next meal. We had bread pudding to go which felt like it weighed a couple of pounds. It was so good. Mom also bought a greeting card made by a local artist there.

This review is for the FOOD TRUCK version of Pizza Barn only…read more Excellent pizza from a truck - 4 stars! This is the mobile food truck version of the Pizza Barn restaurant in Princeton. I found them at the Elm Creek Brewing Company in Champlin. The truck has a very limited menu compared to the bricks n' mortar restaurant. Basically, they offer several varieties of giant pizza slices and several hand-held desserts...nothing else from the full restaurant menu. The pizza was excellent. I ordered the "Cowpie" pizza. This one seems to be the Pizza Barn version of a deluxe or a supreme, loaded pizza. You can definitely taste the high grade cheese and the quality ingredients. And the slices are huge. They barely fit on a full sized paper dinner plate. The dessert was good too. Not great...but good. They call it a "Special K" bar but it seems to be a super dense rice crispy bar with chocolate frosting. The truck itself it pretty cool too. I like the color and the graphics. It really catches your eye. I only noticed 2 minor things that might need improvement. First, the dessert bar was cold and extra chewy. In fact, it was so chewy, it was hard to eat. Even my 130 pound dog chewed like crazy when I shared a chunk with her! It might help if the bars were brought to room temperature before passing them on to a customer. That's just a guess though, I'm not an expert. Second, the employee was continuously distracted and she didn't seem interested in being there - pretty unprofessional. I watched her while I ordered and for half an hour while I was eating my food....non-stop messing around on her phone. She didn't know any answers to basic questions I had about the food either. She seemed stumped when I asked her what the Special K bar was. Not knowing anything about them, I was guessing it might be a rice crispy type bar with Special K corn flakes...not true though. Some basic product knowledge would be nice. Overall, this food truck is excellent. And my criticisms are minor, not a big deal. I'd eat the food again any time. I definitely need to check out the restaurant in Princeton. I looked at the full menu and it looks incredible. Thumbs up! -Maxx

It's still good pizza for a special occasion, and the buffet can be a great option, but it's lost what made it special. Service staff are kind and amenable, cooks don't seem to take their job seriously. Menus are limited, but almost always that means quality over quantity. Monthly pizza specials keep it novel, and those specials extend beyond food.
