I needed to stock up on brats for a resurgence of a carnivore diet. I love the variety of all the frozen choices. Some they don't have in other meat markets, although everyone has a beer and ale one. I stopped by today as I was raised in the area in my youth. This place is a gem. Meats are wonderful and a lost art is crafted here. I highly recommend this place and the service, charm and friendly place is worth the stop. If you do not like an authentic small town old world meat shop, stay away. This place is GREAT. We're big brat fans and we've never tasted better! The selection is out of this world. I've seen dozens of different flavors in the freezer and the casings are crisp and delicious. This is so far above supermarket sausages!! The thing you have to remember is...this is not a commercial supermarket. They stuff their own sausage and cut their own meat. Sooooo, they are not going to have every little thing every single day (especially during the winter, this is a small town)! If you are wanting something in particular, call ahead and make sure they have it. How hard is that? They'll probably just make it up special for you if possible. First, I have been a member of Yelp for awhile but never bothered to log in and review anything. That is, until I looked up Deutschland Meats and saw the insane low rating which is the result of 1 bad review from a total of 2. I am gonna do my best to push that rating up. I came to Lindstrom from Atlanta this past fall for a wedding and while there, I noticed Deutschland Meats. I am a huge fan of hitting up local butcher shops when traveling and this place did not disappoint. The folks working behind the counter were super friendly and helpful with all of my questions. I decided to take a gamble and I picked up about $30 worth of sausages of various types, took them back to my hotel, froze them, and hauled them back to Georgia in my luggage. Bottom line, this stuff is the real deal. I got the dinner sausages, the standard brats, the franks, and my ultimate favorite: the weisswurst. Each pack was full of super flavorful, expertly cased sausages. As I type this I am eating the last of my haul and I am trying to figure out I can get a restock sent down. Do not let some fool complaining about the lack of beef jerky steer you away from this great independent shop. A+. read more

I am now a regular shopper here. I moved to the area last year and have been looking for a quality meat shop. My first visit was May 2017 for steaks. The gal running the shop talked me into trying some more. Left with steaks, beef sticks, and Swedish potato sausage. Omg, absolutely fantastic. Of course, I grilled the steaks to perfection. I have been back a couple times since, more steak, more potato sausage, wild rice brats, and now the German potato salad...nothing but delicious. Always friendly staff, good prices, great meats. Worst customer service! Ordered meat & cheese platter two days in advance. Was told it should be ready for pick up at time we specified. Was also told 3 kinds of meat and cheese will be on tray! Only received 2! And worst, platter wasn't ready! Had to wait 30 min so they can work on it! Not going back! They didn't have a lot of variety either. Not recommended. read more
