Leader is a large restaurant on the main strip of Cambridge. I love that it has a Scandinavian influence and had to order the Swedish Meatballs. The meatballs were tender and ere great with the Nordic gravy and lingonberry jam. I also had a chance to try the Mediterranean Bowl and Harvest Salad. Definitely cannot go wrong with any of these dishes. I plan to go back in the future to try their coffee and breakfast! There is also plenty of parking behind the restaurant and an entrance that is easy to access.

We've been to this spot a couple of times and loved it every time. The feeling of the restaurant is fresh, bright and clean! The decor is almost like a farm house contemporary vibe. There is a department store attached, which was already closed when we got there. There's a rich history to the it and pictures along the back of the restaurant was very interesting to look at and read. The food is just amazing - looks so upscale and much care and attention put on it. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back to try other items on their menu! Highly recommended and everyone should stop in the experience it!

Leader was incredible to our group of 13, and I couldn't recommend them more! We were in town for a bachelorette party and wanted to stop here for brunch on the way home. We called ahead to make a reservation, which I highly recommend because they opened at 9 a.m. on Sunday, and by 9:05 the restaurant was already full with people waiting. Our server, Lily, was excellent! Our whole table wanted to make sure I left a review for her specifically. She was so respectful and incredibly polite when we asked her to take a group photo. The food was delicious. We had a couple of vegans/vegetarians at our table, and while they had a few accommodating dishes, I really wish they offered a vegan meat alternative. Lily mentioned they normally don't do substitutions, but she let one of the girls swap the meat for hash browns on the eggs Benedict--she was awesome! Also, the hash browns were divine. The restaurant is attached to a few small shop, which gave us the perfect post brunch shopping experience. The whole place is definitely worth a stop!

    Popovers with Maple Butter

Leader is a great spot in Cambridge! Great menu with dishes made with fresh ingredients. For starters my wife and I had the walleye cakes and popovers. It was my first time having a popover, very good especially with the maple butter. The walleye cakes were just ok, nothing really stood out about them. I was expecting more flavor from the cakes themselves as well as preserved lemon yogurt. The Reuben was fantastic. Pastrami had great flavor, the braised cabbage was cooked perfectly and the rye bread cooked perfectly. My only regret was not asking for a bit more sauce for the sandwich. Got a side of ranch for fries and it is made from scratch - delicious dill flavor. We decided to get the bread pudding and that was disappointing. Wasn't as ooey gooey as I prefer my bread pudding to be. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Really really exceptional food, service, and a unique building. It's hard to find truly innovative restaurants like this in our smalls towns. We had the "Chef's Tour" which was a three course meal of smoked chicken wontons as the appetizer, pistachio crusted walleye, and blueberry pie and ice cream for dessert. We had the option to pair it with certain wines but passed on that. It was all so good and the service was fast and friendly. If we make it back to Cambridge we will be sure to stop in.

    After shopping at Leader

We came here after state baseball tournament and ordered burgers and Mac n cheese and loved every bite. Incredible food and such friendly service - I couldn't recommend this place more. Attached is a cute boutique attached made it fun to shop while we were in town. Also a coffee shop in the back with fresh baked goods

Wow, what a fun place. All kinds of Scandinavian food. The cocoa and sausage were excellent. The Swedish pancakes were a bit chewy, but the lingonberries made up for it. Great service! I hope to come back.

I'm in town visiting for a wedding and was told this was the place to come for brunch. They were right! The coffee was delicious. My eggs Benedict was incredible - loved the crunch on the edges of the meat. My Swedish pancakes were okay - a little overdone. But not worth docking a star for. My waitress was kind. And the place had a modern, yet small town feel to it. Who knows!? I may come back in the morning.

Cute historic building with a coffee shop, retail store and restaurant. Haven't tried the food yet but the coffee flight was delicious and very reasonably priced! Can't wait to go back and try the food!

Food 4/5 - The food is always delicious at Leaders! The Classic Eggs Benedict and coffee flight is my favorite. The food came out within a timely manner and everything was tasty. Service / Ambiance 4/5 - The overall service was good. The restaurant is clean and well lite. A friendly small town restaurant feel.

I've held off on writing this review because I wanted to make sure that I put the right words to the story Spoon and Stable helped me build for my ten year wedding anniversary. My husband and I like to do quirky celebrations, and for ten years of marriage I wanted to celebrate it and spend time being intentional about the growth and love we've shared for this decade of life together. To say Spoon and Stable hit it out of the park is an understatement. We got a space near the kitchen to watch the chefs make the magic happen, and EACH dish was simply incredible. I have never in my life had an eyes closed "MMMMMM" moment, but I had multiple moments of wow all starting with drinks at the bar and ending with a perfect desert that we took with us. Don't skip the oysters, don't skip the extras, don't skip the witty banter with your service staff, DON'T SKIP OUT ON THIS PLACE. It is absolutely worth every single penny.

Especially the Bellecour restaurant, the desserts there are 1000x better than the days tasting old crap that is served here at SnS. The interior is gorgeous, however, the entire establishment is a 0/10. I would not recommend this place to anyone. What an embarrassment this place is serving bad food to patrons. I recommend spending money at Porzana, Bar La Grassa, Bellecour... anywhere but here. This place is a joke for food. So embarrassing!

On a last-minute work trip to Minneapolis, I asked all of my foodie friends where I absolutely had…read moreto make a reservation, and the answer was universal: Vinai. I was able to snag a solo spot at the bar/chef's counter about a week in advance for a 7 pm weekday slot, and I'm so glad I listened. I'd never had Hmong food before coming to Minneapolis. It's plentiful here, but it's quickly become clear to me why Vinai is the "it" spot for a nicer Hmong dinner. The menu is vast and broken down by size of dish, which makes it easy to mix and match. Since I was solo and wanted to try as many things as possible, I opted for several smaller things. Pro tip: sitting at the chef's counter unlocks an additional "secret menu" of daily specials you can only order if you're sitting there. These seem like the best part of the menu, and I'm so grateful my friends pushed me to book the chef's counter specifically. What I ordered: - Severine (gin, vodka, white vermouth, lime leaf): A martini riff with a Hmong twist. Really light but interesting. - Curry rice ball (garlic cream cheese and blue crab in a fried ball): Tasty but nothing that blew me away. I'd skip on a future visit. - Grilled shrimp (3 whole head-on grilled prawns topped with green mango and jicama salad, served with purple sticky rice): This was off the secret menu and was unreal. Light, herbal, fresh. Drool-worthy. - Shrimp-pork toast (prawn mixture on Texas toast with apricot chili): So tasty, punchy flavors. My waitress kindly let me get a half order because I was getting full but really wanted to try this AND the fried rice. - Crabby fried rice (generously topped fried rice with blue crab): Half of this became lunch for the next day. - White rabbit candy ice cream scoop topped with olive oil and sea salt: Perfect end to an indulgent, incredible meal. The food here is insanely flavorful, and it's such a fun vibe; even on a Tuesday night, it filled up pretty quickly! I cannot recommend sitting at the bar more: you get really great service, you get to watch the chefs cook, AND you unlock the secret menu. My waitress was a highlight of the night, super helpful with every ordering decision and even brought me a complimentary half order of the shrimp-pork toast when I was torn between two crowd favorites trying to pick my last item. Truly above and beyond. Genuinely hoping work sends me back to Minneapolis soon, if only to eat here again!

The cocktails are fun and definitely use flavors inspired by the culture; I loved that our waiter (the bartender) really spent time with us to explain the menu and his recommendations. I particularly enjoyed the carpaccio - all the toppings were incredibly light, fresh, and flavor...and then pair that with the purple sticky rice...DIVINE. Then we also really enjoyed the catfish lettuce wraps; I'm not usually a catfish lover, but they were so lightly breaded and with the noodles, sauce, and pickled veggies, they were delicious. We tried one of their cold noodle salads, which wasn't my fav. I also tried one of their curry crab rice balls, which was delicious. Overall, I can see why this place is on so many "top restaurants of the twin cities" lists!

It's a really cozy moody interior, with *no big lights* aka great low lighting and comfy seating options. When we went, there were just a few other parties there so pretty quiet. But, we were able to order and drink one drink during the ~45 minutes we had. They closed up shop promptly at 10pm. They had a classics and a "rumors" section of the menu. I didn't think the signature drinks were overly unique, with classics like Paper Plane making that menu side. I had a pomegranate mojito which was good! Consensus was that the cocktails were good not exceptional, especially for the $16-17 price point. We ordered churros for the table which were a table favorite! I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but we enjoyed our time and could see this being a good option if you lived in the neighborhood and don't mind the early close hours.
