Leader is a large restaurant on the main strip of Cambridge. I love that it has a Scandinavian influence and had to order the Swedish Meatballs. The meatballs were tender and ere great with the Nordic gravy and lingonberry jam. I also had a chance to try the Mediterranean Bowl and Harvest Salad. Definitely cannot go wrong with any of these dishes. I plan to go back in the future to try their coffee and breakfast! There is also plenty of parking behind the restaurant and an entrance that is easy to access.

We've been to this spot a couple of times and loved it every time. The feeling of the restaurant is fresh, bright and clean! The decor is almost like a farm house contemporary vibe. There is a department store attached, which was already closed when we got there. There's a rich history to the it and pictures along the back of the restaurant was very interesting to look at and read. The food is just amazing - looks so upscale and much care and attention put on it. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back to try other items on their menu! Highly recommended and everyone should stop in the experience it!

Leader was incredible to our group of 13, and I couldn't recommend them more! We were in town for a bachelorette party and wanted to stop here for brunch on the way home. We called ahead to make a reservation, which I highly recommend because they opened at 9 a.m. on Sunday, and by 9:05 the restaurant was already full with people waiting. Our server, Lily, was excellent! Our whole table wanted to make sure I left a review for her specifically. She was so respectful and incredibly polite when we asked her to take a group photo. The food was delicious. We had a couple of vegans/vegetarians at our table, and while they had a few accommodating dishes, I really wish they offered a vegan meat alternative. Lily mentioned they normally don't do substitutions, but she let one of the girls swap the meat for hash browns on the eggs Benedict--she was awesome! Also, the hash browns were divine. The restaurant is attached to a few small shop, which gave us the perfect post brunch shopping experience. The whole place is definitely worth a stop!

    Popovers with Maple Butter

Leader is a great spot in Cambridge! Great menu with dishes made with fresh ingredients. For starters my wife and I had the walleye cakes and popovers. It was my first time having a popover, very good especially with the maple butter. The walleye cakes were just ok, nothing really stood out about them. I was expecting more flavor from the cakes themselves as well as preserved lemon yogurt. The Reuben was fantastic. Pastrami had great flavor, the braised cabbage was cooked perfectly and the rye bread cooked perfectly. My only regret was not asking for a bit more sauce for the sandwich. Got a side of ranch for fries and it is made from scratch - delicious dill flavor. We decided to get the bread pudding and that was disappointing. Wasn't as ooey gooey as I prefer my bread pudding to be. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Really really exceptional food, service, and a unique building. It's hard to find truly innovative restaurants like this in our smalls towns. We had the "Chef's Tour" which was a three course meal of smoked chicken wontons as the appetizer, pistachio crusted walleye, and blueberry pie and ice cream for dessert. We had the option to pair it with certain wines but passed on that. It was all so good and the service was fast and friendly. If we make it back to Cambridge we will be sure to stop in.

    After shopping at Leader

We came here after state baseball tournament and ordered burgers and Mac n cheese and loved every bite. Incredible food and such friendly service - I couldn't recommend this place more. Attached is a cute boutique attached made it fun to shop while we were in town. Also a coffee shop in the back with fresh baked goods

Wow, what a fun place. All kinds of Scandinavian food. The cocoa and sausage were excellent. The Swedish pancakes were a bit chewy, but the lingonberries made up for it. Great service! I hope to come back.

I'm in town visiting for a wedding and was told this was the place to come for brunch. They were right! The coffee was delicious. My eggs Benedict was incredible - loved the crunch on the edges of the meat. My Swedish pancakes were okay - a little overdone. But not worth docking a star for. My waitress was kind. And the place had a modern, yet small town feel to it. Who knows!? I may come back in the morning.

Cute historic building with a coffee shop, retail store and restaurant. Haven't tried the food yet but the coffee flight was delicious and very reasonably priced! Can't wait to go back and try the food!

Food 4/5 - The food is always delicious at Leaders! The Classic Eggs Benedict and coffee flight is my favorite. The food came out within a timely manner and everything was tasty. Service / Ambiance 4/5 - The overall service was good. The restaurant is clean and well lite. A friendly small town restaurant feel.

The chicken wild rice soup was not edible due to the huge amount of rosemary that was added.

We were seated at our reservation time but the host took our drink order and we hung out and enjoyed conversation as we waited for our table. They have a bar but it's used for seating so you are not able to hang out in that area as you wait for your table. Dinner was fantastic. We chose the fish of the day which was branzino. The whole fish was served in a banana leaf with tasty toppings. We shared it and it was a perfect size. For a side we chose the noodles per our servers recommendation. Lots of colors, textures and tastes in that dish. The menu items are meant for sharing and we shared that side as well. Finally, we wrapped up our meal with a chocolate lava cake. It had a chili pepper spice on it which definitely gave it a bite. I loved that they served it with a candle for my birthday. Grateful to see wine from Sovereign Estates Winery in MN on the menu. Small businesses supporting small businesses. Husband also had the deviled eggs as he loves them but since they are not my fav, he ate them all. Service was excellent. I had heard really good things about the bar and couldn't wait to try a cocktail. I tried the hmoob ntsuab, which was a delightful fruity cocktail. The cocktail game here is definitely strong. I will admit, when I looked at the menu, I knew I was going to be in trouble, as I have a very sensitive shellfish allergy. They did ask about allergies at the table and did say there were items they could make modifications to and some that couldn't be. We started with the deviled eggs minus thw shrimp. Those were quite good, with the thai basil. Hubs got a beef dish and I had the cauliflower with a different dressing which was SO GOOD. Mom had a salad that had fish sauce, so I didn't try that but it also looked fantastic. Since we were celebrating a birthday, we also got a free mango cheesecake, absolutely fantastic. I do love that this restaurant introduces a different food culture and definitely interesting items to try.

A few notes to set the scene I went today for lunch on a lovely 70 degree Spring day after getting a haircut across the street to check some work emails, grab a beer and quick lunch to go order. Full disclosure: I'm slightly biased bc I grew up about a mile away and just moved home recently, so any cool vibey place in the old neighborhood has a special place in my heart. That said, it has a very cozy/hip neighborhood feel and understated sophistication for what is a pretty residential and quiet area of St Paul The 5/5 elements... Scott (who I think may be the owner?) is super cool, was serving/tending bar and running around to manage the patio while chatting me up & giving great recs on beer/food based on my half hearted description while I multi tasked on work nonsense. Awesome guy, and reason enough to check this place out The vibe/softly playing music and entrancing Twin Cities flyover footage playing in the background on the TV at the bar was oddly soothing Ordered brisket tacos, brussels sprouts, and fried chicken sandwich for myself + a friend to go. Yamahama, I'm not gonna cheat and double check the menu, but the brussels have a delicious umami flavor from either duck fat or facsimile that perfectly balances the acid from the balsamic/vinegar situation. Fried chicken sandwich is a KILLER, highly recommend. Back to Pink Ivy. The service is quality. Our reserved table was ready when we arrived. The reservation policy may seem "strict", but if you can live with needing to provide a 24 cancel notice, I think you will find the service is good because the business doesn't get slammed by unexpected high demand. Wait person timing was off a tad when we first sat down. It felt a little rushed as we order our drinks and considered a starter. In fairness, a table of 16-20 followed us in so the wait person may have been doing us a favor. But it did influence my four star rating. Otherwise I'd have given 5 stars. Great care was taken when wait person checked for allergies. Not just asked, but noted and went to the kitchen to confirm. During the meal, flatware was changed out between courses, water refilled without disruption and the order arrived on time and all at one time. Our group enjoyed the halibut, salmon, and chicken bacon meatball items. Everyone loved their meals. A few of us ordered and split salads. We passed on desserts. The menu range may not be pages long, but all the usual suspects are there; salads, fish, poultry, beef, and pasta. And I know the chef rotates items on the menu. I encourage you to plan ahead. Reservations fill up days in advance. I think you'll find it worth the extra planning. PS my ratings are adjusted for the type of venue. These are not Michelin stars.
