"Taken for a 'Sport Durst Advantage' Ride" BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front): * Negotiated $3,000 off MSRP, then got additional $500 military discount = $3,500 total * Only got $1,727.07 actual discount - they owe me $1,772.93 * Hidden $986 "Sport Durst Advantage" fee wasn't even itemized * Finance misrepresented payoff amount to sell GAP insurance * Their response to my concerns? One free oil change. Seriously. Detailed Story: Leased a CX-90 PHEV in November 2024. Started with $10,000 in Mazda incentives ($7,500 EV credit, $2,000 lease cash, $500 military). After negotiating with Manager Corey Washington down to $3,000 off MSRP, I mentioned my military status and asked for another $1,000 off. He agreed to an additional $500 military discount, bringing total promised discount to $3,500. After 8+ hours at the dealership with my hungry family, approaching 10 PM, we finally got to the finance office. That's when the "Sport Durst Disadvantage" revealed itself: 1. Negotiated discount: $3,500 2. Actual discount: $1,727.07 3. Difference they owe me: $1,772.93 4. PLUS they hid a $986 "Sport Durst Advantage" fee in the base price But here's what really exposed everything: Called Mazda Financial 20 days later and discovered their deception. Finance had claimed I'd owe $56,771.75 if I totaled the car (monthly payments $670.37 x 35 = $23,462.95 + residual $33,308.80), pushing hard for GAP insurance. The actual payoff? About $49,000. They inflated the payoff amount by over $7,700 to sell me a bundled package of GAP insurance ($750) and wear/tear coverage ($299) when I was exhausted and just wanting to get my family home after 8+ hours at the dealership! The Good: * Salesman Rob Forsyth - knowledgeable * Vehicle itself is great * Mazda's incentives were legitimate The Bad: * Used military service as leverage when I was tired after 8+ hours * Kept my family there until almost 10 PM to pressure a same-day close * Hidden fees * Missing $1,772.93 from promised discount * Misrepresented payoff amount to sell GAP insurance * Bundled GAP ($750) and wear/tear ($299) together while pressuring sale at 10 PM * Had to cancel both through Mazda Financial since dealership wouldn't respond * Won't respond to concerns * One free oil change as "compensation" The Final Straw: When I finally got to speak with management about these issues, they wouldn't even acknowledge the missing $1,772.93 discount we agreed on. Instead of admitting the discrepancy and making it right, they offered a single free oil change. It was never about getting free services - it's about principle and honesty. They promised $3,500 off, didn't deliver, and won't even admit it. Why am I posting this now? Tax season is coming up. I don't want others, especially military families, getting their tax refunds and walking into the same trap. I lost time with my family, almost $1,800, and gained a lot of stress - but at least I can warn others. If you're thinking of shopping here, PLEASE remember: Sport Durst "Advantage" really means their advantage, not yours. I'm happy to share documentation showing exactly how they manipulated the numbers. SAVE YOUR TAX REFUND - GO ELSEWHERE! Had to cancel GAP and wear/tear through Mazda Financial because Sport Durst wouldn't even respond to my calls. P.S. More like "Sport Durst DISadvantage" - am I right? If you don't want to get taken for a ride like I did, feel free to reach out through Google Reviews. I'm happy to help walk you through any lease agreement so you can spot these tricks before signing. #VeteranWarning #CarDealershipTactics #CheckYourPaperwork #MilitaryDiscount #DontShopTired

When my first car (a 2013 Ford Focus) had serious transmission problems in 2019, due to a known design flaw, I was shorted on how much credit they would give me towards my next car (a 2017 Focus, with the design flaw fixed). Because I was given significantly less than originally offered, I was very upset, and I decided I would never buy from them again. But then, November 2024, I received a letter from them, offering to give me a great deal toward my next car. I decided to give them another chance. I'm glad I did give them a chance -- but only to ease my conscience. Unfortunately, the most recent experience only reinforced my previous feelings about them. They really don't care about keeping me as a repeat customer. They knew what my budget and limitations were, and still, they tried to get the financing paperwork ready for me to sign, without providing all the maintenance history that I had requested. ("I've been trying to get it" was the manager's answer!) If I had signed, that would have meant needing immediate costly maintenance right out the door, which they were NOT willing to help me with. Not even meeting me halfway! I walked away with a very bad feeling about working with this dealership. Never again!!

New padded club chairs, tables with power hubs for charging, really tight work, free coffee machine and a drink vending machine. No TV - everyone is either reading their paper or on a device of some type. There are no magazines from the early pre-pandemic days littering the area. It's like they have read past reviews! When you check in (already an excellent process), they double check your phone number, and encourage you to turn off call screening of unknown numbers so they can send you updates. They send a video of your scheduled service, along with suggested items you may want today. Buttons under each recommendation allow you to give them permission to proceed. The price for each is in the page, and a running total is across the top of the page. No one has to walk out and call your name and talk you through what they found - it's all in the video. Yes, they could use a noise-canceling mic, and give their service reps a bit of coaching on speaking slowly and clearly to make for a better communication experience with non-car folks, but this is so far beyond what any other car place I've been to is doing that I'm not going to downgrade them for that. It's nice to have a place that's keeping current in both car maintenance and customer service experience!

At approximately 2.5 hours later no photos had been taken. The photos should have taken no more than 30 minutes after I arrived. (I believe that is why we schedule appts.) I finally got a young women in the service dept. to help navigate the issue. It took her about 15 minutes, and she came back and said, it was all done. She even pulled the car around for me. August 2025, they had not submitted info to Hyundai Care to schedule and resolve the paint warranty. They wanted me to schedule with them again and come in for more photos! Hyundai USA reached out and never could get a "real person" that would step up to the plate and commit to helping move this problem through. I tried to contact them by phone, and left messages with my number. Never did Brian, or Blake ever return my calls. I Just kept getting email templates to schedule appt. for service. Guess what Mr. Durst, You have a dog and pony show in your service dept. In the 2.5 hours that I sat and observed.. you really have an atrocity of a "service dept". Mr. Durst... your service dept. should be absolutely ashamed to treat Hyundai automobile owners, so poorly. I listened to more angry, and poorly managed customers.. including myself! I've never owned a Mitsubishi before so I'm unsure whether this is typical but I have owned several brand new cars and have never required service within the first 7 months of ownership let alone 5 times.  I called in a month ago with a warranty question and have yet to receive a return phone call from Coretta.  During my attempt to check in at my last and final appt, Coretta was amid a work inappropriate rant about how far behind she was on paperwork while acting like my presence for the appt I was given was an inconvenience for her. And once again I left without the job that I came in for having been completed in full which is definitely a trend.  She claimed that a part had to be ordered and she would call to schedule once it arrived. Of course its 2 months later and nothing.  Then I randomly have a missed call from them with no voicemail message after I've had the problem addressed elsewhere.  But hey she doesn't even call to tell me when car is ready when it's there as if I'm just supposed to know by osmosis when to pick it up.  At least she's consistent. She is the least easy person to deal with and shockingly the ONLY person in the tiny office that is their service dept. Each time I had to take my car I prayed for there to be literally ANYONE else for me to deal with and I mean ANYONE.  I have acknowledged or rather accepted what I already knew after my first visit which is that there is new learning or behavioral change occurring here. The sales dept was great but service with this lady has made me want to take crumbl cookies for everyone in the service dept at my other dealership because this type of nonsense would never be tolerated there.  I called and asked for the GM and the operator connected me to a voicemail for the vice president and COO who has yet to return my call as well. It seems that this type of behavior is an organizational issue and likely will NOT change. It's sad because the buying experience was great but it has been nothing short of debotchery since then. Skip this place and save yourself the aggravation. She's overwhelmed, disorganized, and obviously ill equipped to be a department of one. It's totally worth the drive and time to go ANYWHERE ELSE AND I MEAN ANYWHERE ELSE for Mitsubishi service.

I tell them NO and stop by the Advance Auto Parts down the road and replace the air filters and wipers in their parking lot and save about $500. They did suggest a new battery but wanted $190 to replace it. Advance Auto Parts sold me one of their best for $90, installed it free and gave me a 3 year replacement warranty. Another $100 I'll keep.
