Minus , Minus anything positive. Shame on us for not reading…read morereviews before booking as a July guest response/rating could have saved us valuable time, $/waste of both. This would have warned us what to expect. Our experience was horrible beyond any words able to convey here! Yes, Folia is on a negative side of Zero stars because the entire establishment is in the dark and appears careless in building their client base. NO focus on training staff even with the very basic understanding of customer service. Nothing good about dining here from the constant lack of attention or even a simple welcome "hello". In the dining area-MUST be prepared to BEG for someone, anyone to take your drink orders, food orders, refill water glasses but worst is all with BAD attitudes & snide comments as if YOU, the paying diners, are asking too much. NO tableware with your food; however you are expected to find a drawer at end of table for self service which we were not told beforehand so waited for some time, had get up from table to find a server who showed us how they set a table! You do it yourself! Would be nice to know ahead so your food doesn't sit waiting=but that is far too much to expect here. It gets worse when a dozen oysters arrive - 6 on two plates with no share plates for four people & your salad is served on a hot plate, by a drop & run waiter. Three Salmon entries later-one far over cooked, crisp & dry, one almost raw & under prepared & not edible, with one just OK. All with too many herbs which overpowered any taste profile. One chicken dinner acceptable! Fish served with DRY white rice-(no other choice offered) in white bowls basically tossed/slid onto table without any regard and lack of table manners. When finally getting attention to our request for soy sauce or sesame oil it was served in a very small coffee creamer for a single person. Inquiring if that was all for everyone the response given was "what do you expect-a full bottle or what?" and off he went. Nothing more offered or delivered. Dinners were disappointing. By now we know someone will have to get up from the table to find/ask/beg wait staff to clear. They did Not even take notice that 2/4 dinners were left on plates. To add more insult to their lack of service, our check spun across the table soon thereafter by another drop and run server with the same 0 ?s re: our experience?! Got there at 4:55 and were told they couldn't seat us till 5pm (weird but okay) then she started to take us upstairs and I had to tell them our reservation was for the counter. Our server was very nice, he did make it a point to let us know that goodnights was levels above other local steak houses in Sonoma County, with their prices they should be, we got the Ribeye and the New York priced at $94 & $97 each. The flavor was good but our steaks were ordered Medium Rare and Medium. Both came out Medium WELL, heavy into the well side. I did mention it politely to the manager who came over to see how we liked everything, let him know they were overcooked but we didn't want to send them back and wait for new ones, the flavor was good we would just eat these. someone else in the reaturant also returned their steak right before us so we didn't want them to have to refire a 2nd and 3rd steak, that poor chef looked like he was having an awful night and it had just started. The manager was super nice and didn't charge us for the steaks. Its a nice place and has a good atmosphere and decor but I do not think we will be back.

The food felt a bit overpriced for what it was, and the service was extremely slow. One guy seemed to be hosting, seating, and waiting on every table, which made the whole evening feel disorganized and dragged out. The drinks and cocktails were honestly the highlight, they were well‑made and probably the only part of the meal that stood out. I ordered the steak frites, and the steak was extremely chewy with not much flavor going on. The goat cheese croquettes and the tikka masala chicken were decent, but nothing memorable. Overall, it was a pretty mediocre experience, especially given the quality of other restaurants nearby. Not somewhere I'd rush back to with so many better choices in town.

We arrived a little early and sat at the bar to grab drinks. The bartender was friendly with taking our orders and handing us several menus. At the time of our reservation, I walked along the corridor towards the rear and spoke with the hostess. We were seated immediately (This restaurant is larger on the inside than it appears on the outside). Our server was pleasant and informed us of the specials they had on the menu. I went with the NY Strip, goat cheese Mac n cheese (surprisingly good) and crispy fried calamari. I'm not the biggest fan of calamari, but I will admit that I'm now more willing to try it again if it's prepared how Starks prepares theirs. For the steak, sides, drinks, the total was somewhere around $150 which was to be expected. No disappoints here. I'll add this, if this is your first time going to Starks, be aware that the surrounding area has quite a bit of the unhoused community. Just FYI!

First of all, we went on a Monday night and the…read morereservations were fully booked, but we decided to try stopping in, which turned out to be smart, because they could seat us almost right away in the bar dining room, which was spacious and didn't feel like a bar area. They even accommodated my request not to be in sight of the TV. We were with my husband's cousin from Maui, an international traveler/diner, so he wanted to go all out, which meant we ordered the two specials - a dry aged porterhouse (T-bone) and a wagyu steak (not sure which cut), both medium rare. We got the bearnaise sauce and the green peppercorn sauce. I had one bite of each side or the t-bone, so NY and filet mignon, and two bites of the wagyu, which turned out to be my favorite. The reason I only had a those few bites of such exquisite, melt in your mouth meat was because of the irresistible courses we had leading up to it - wedge salad with tender diced bacon and pungent blue cheese dressing, potato skin fondue (like an elevated bacon nacho cheese dip), mussels in a flavorful broth that we sopped up with the addicting (on the house) bottomless basket of butter garlic parsley topped rolls (texture of Hawaiian rolls but not sweet). Then there was the scrumptious four cheese mac n cheese. I had to hold off on the giant onion rings (just ate the inside of one) to save room for the steak. We somehow also had drinks and dessert - I finished the first (which they made tart like I requested) and only tasted the last - a pineapple cheesecake, while my husband and his cousin demolished the rest along with creme brulee. Service was excellent and well timed. My husband's cousin said he hadn't expected the food to be so stellar, but that it even surpassed the swanky steakhouse we had gone to with him in SF on his last visit. We told him we weren't that surprised since we really like the other Stark restaurants we've been to, but this was the piece de la resistance. It was partly a celebration of our 25th anniversary coming up, so this feast was a blessing.
