New restaurant in newlty developed strip mall in Dripping Springs. The food was delicious! Freshly prepared, huge portions, authentic thai food. We had the basil chicken (fantastic), beef pad thai (delicious), a steak appetizer that came with sticky rice, which I cannot remeber the name, (but it was delicious!), and an appetizer of the fresh rolls (very good). Been here a couple of times, the food is inconsistent and service is spotty. Which all now make sense and after our last visit I will not be going back and the reason I gave two stars is explained next. The staff told us not to tip because the owners take the tips. This to me as an ex service industry employee is the epitome of a bad restaurant. I hope one of your staff reports the owners to the labor board, its illegal and despicable. read more

Absolutely delicious! I have been here twice now and have not been disappointed. I had the Thai fried rice which was perfect. I know anyone can make fried rice, but seriously, every other Thai place I have been to around here has sucked. My husband got the green curry and said it was fabulous. The spice was just right and the chicken was cooked perfectly, no fatty bites. He also ordered the yellow curry and said that it was exactly how he wanted it to taste. We had an order of the dumplings which came out as described. Yummy! The owners mother was taking care of us while we sat at the bar and what a sweet woman. She gave us a sample of the Thai tea while we were waiting for our order. It was awesome. I have not had it before and really liked it. I definitely recommend trying this place! read more

I do LOVED THIS LITTLE SPOT! Four stars ONLY because I've been there just once. Bubble tea was fabulous, portions and quality of all food were authentic and so tasty! I had never had salmon and AVOCADO in a dish Thai dish like my husband had- it was fabulous! Very cute cafe decor. Our server was the SWEETEST, most capable young man- and when I say young- pretty sure he was like- 18ish! He was knowledgeable of the menu, on the spot with his service for the entire restaurant. It is covid but they were steady with guests in and out, and carry out. I can't compliment these folks enough for their remarkable service and menu especially! Great restaurant. We don't have a lot of Thai food west of Austin, and this place goes above and beyond. They've been great through COVID, have had a great mask policy, and offered great food to go. Growing up in Houston, I'd like to think my taste for knowing what authentic tastes like is up there, especially when it comes to Asian food. Tonight I was able to beat the dinner rush and taste an array of dishes from Spoon & Fork: chicken satay, honey shrimp, tiger cry (my favorite Thai dish), papaya salad, pineapple fried rice (another favorite) and salmon teriyaki with my family. Everything tasted delicious, and rivals one of my favorite Thai places off of Bellaire in Houston. I do think the prices are a little high here compared to Houston prices, but then again I live out here in Drippings, so it's definitely worth it than having to drive down to Houston for authentic Thai food! The owners are also very cordial and kind. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I must say that I was super excited for a new Thai place to open up near where I live. So, when the in-laws were staying over and we were having a lazy evening, take-out from Spoon & Fork was the answer. Since, we've never been, I went into the store to look over the menu and order. While I waited for our order, I sat at the bar. The atmosphere is very modern and clean. I was impressed and would like to go back to eat at the restaurant. The barkeep was attentive to me as I waited for my order, keeping my water refilled. They had a cocktail menu, which I would like to go back to try, but due to the bun in the oven, I enjoyed my water. They also have a wide variety of teas. The service is friendly. In addition to the attentive barkeep, the server checked my order to make sure I got everything I ordered before I left. The food had hits and misses. The favorite was the Panang Salmon Avocado. So flavorful, a large portion of salmon, and worth the $16 price tag. Second place was the Thai Spicy Basil Chicken. It was loaded with chicken, veggies, and flavor. A tad on the pricey side ($12) compared to other Thai restaurants. What to pass on? The Tamarind shrimp, which cost $16, is hard to bite into and on the bland side. It comes with steamed broccoli and carrots, which had a funky taste to it. I wonder if this would taste better at the restaurant, but for $2/shrimp, I don't think I would try this again. Also, a hard pass for next time is the Crab Cream Cheese. Intrigued by the idea of a crab rangoon in spring roll form, I was disappointed by the lack of crab and the toughness of the cream cheese. It was like a fried cheese stick but minus the gooey goodness. Perhaps the fried wrapper to cheese ratio was off, but I think I prefer the rangoon style. Although on the pricey side, I think I'd still like to try it again in the restaurant. They have some solid choices and it's in a convenient location for me. read more

Our second trip to Spoon and Fork was not as extraordinary as the first. I won't go in to the details of my issues with my dish (which were multiple), but I will say that upon my discussion with the owner, she removed the item from our ticket. That's forward-thinking management. I even told my wife.. "if there is some adjustment because of the shortcomings of the dish, I'll come back, otherwise this will be our last trip" You have earned my respect, and we will certainly give this place another try, although I do feel compelled to lower my rating to 4 stars based on the experience. Yummy! Happened upon this spot just b/c my friend was running errands at the Ace Hardware next door. I'm so glad we gave it a try because it was delish! I got the Mongolian Beef dish and it was very tasty, it came with broccoli and carrots and had great flavor. The Thai Iced tea was super sweet, which is fine for me, but I think my lunch partner was having a sugar high from it. LOL. If you are looking for AUTHENTIC Thai food, this is NOT it. It is a good "safe" Americanized restaurant. Yes I've spent time in Thailand so I know what the real deal tastes like. *Green curry didn't have any heat and was told that it's the spiciest of all their curry. No tastes of the galangal, kaffir lime, lemongrass, shrimp paste and other seasonings. But I was glad they put eggplant in it. *Papaya salad wasn't spicy at all. Didn't taste the fish sauce, palm sugar, chili, lime, or garlic. *Tom Kha, didn't taste any lemongrass, galangal, chili, or kaffir lime leaves. *Pad See Ew extremely under seasoned. If you read my other reviews I mentioned that I would rather have under seasoned foods vs over seasoned, but this had NO flavor. *Mango sticky rice was flat. It wasn't sweet at all. *Fried tofu. Wish it was hot and crispy, but it was just warm. 3 pieces of tofu cut diagonally for $5.00 and 3 sauces (cucumber sauce, peanut sauce, and Thai chili with garlic) Mongolian beef, crab cream cheese, salmon teriyaki, and edamame are on the menu. Those are NOT Thai dishes. When I saw that on the menu, I all ready figured it's catered to the people who aren't accustomed to authentic Thai food. Food came out fast but it wasn't hot. Finally tried this place and not impressed. I went with the Pad Thai, as this is a recipe any good Thai restaurant should be able to knock out of the park. They use the wide noodles instead of skinny rice noodles... ding #1; there is zero spice and zero flavor, it was like eating a bundle of rubber bands. I tried dumping the sweet and sour sauce that came with my spring rolls to help... it didn't help. Stopped eating halfway through. I was excited to have a Thai restaurant so close and am hopeful that my experience is a result of them being new. That being said, this place was terrible. First, I tried to call to make sure they were open. I defy you to find a phone number for this place anywhere. The online menu looked good so took our chances and they were open. We already knew what we wanted after checking out the menu on their website. We told the woman what we wanted only to be informed that they we not making their full menu yet..then why advertise it as your menu. Still wanting to try the food we read the very abbreviated menu she handed to me and placed the order to go rather than sit in the very bright, very loud dining room that looked more like a school cafeteria. We just live across the highway so we were able to be eating at home within 3 minutes of getting the order. We each took a bite of our food and a spoonful of soup. it was all terrible. Tried another couple of bites before giving up and tossing it all. We were so disappointed after being so excited about it. As I said, I am hoping that this is all growing pains and may give them another shot in a few weeks but initial impressions were not good at all. read more
