Stop by the store to get the bikes ready for ride as it has been more than eight months since I have written them. I needed the gears fixed and other works like flat tire, brake alignments, and other stuff. Craig is always was very helpful, kind professional, and did a great job in fixing it very quickly. He put in the time in the really professional job. I have only gone bike riding once in 20 years but when a friend gifted me a vintage bike during the pandemic, I gladly accepted! Unfortunately, it needed work starting at the very least with new tires as the old ones were completely shot. I took the bike to Spokes, not only the closest bike shop to my home but also recommended by some friends who mountain bike. Dan was awesome! Took my bike in and looked far & wide for tires that fit this vintage bike that's probably older than me. Took a couple months but he found really cool white walled tires and then to my surprise, cleaned up the bike before I picked it up so it really shined!! I recently purchased a bicycle for my daughter as a Christmas present, but when it was time to assemble, I was having a difficult time adjusting the brakes. So I went ahead and googled a bike shop around my area and Spokes popped up. I gave the shop a call on New Years Eve just to see if they were open and to my surprise they were. So I was THAT CUSTOMER who arrives an hour before close to the shop with my daughter to get the bike tuned up. Dan reassured me that it would be taken care of, but since it was close to closing time it probably wouldn't be looked at until Monday, which is completely fine. To my surprise, I get a call back within 20 mins telling me that the bike was ready! So I went ahead and picked it up. Brakes worked perfectly and he even installed a bell on the bike for my daughter. She was incredibly happy with her bike and loves the new addition as well. Incredible customer service. My son was out for a ride to South Mountain on 01/06/18 to meet friends then hike. As luck would have it on his return ride he got an un-reparable flat. I picked him up and we were driving back to Tempe when I noticed the shop, so we made a stop. Upon entering the shop we were greeted by the shop owner Craig who was very friendly and down to earth. I let him know we were in the market for a heavy duty tire to replace the unrepairable tire. Craig was very helpful he let us know what tires he and his wife had used in the past and also showed us the full range of tires he had available for purchase. Prices competitive, Service Great. As a woman, I often go into stores looking for something and get harassed by the men in the store assuming I'm incapable of whatever I am trying to get done; this did not happen here. I love going into a store, asking for what I need, and getting the help I asked for. They were quick with getting me the parts for my bike I was needing and did not waste my time trying to convince me they should do the work instead of me. The last time I went in there was because my chain was slipping they didn't even charge me for chain adjustment because they got it fixed so quickly. Spokes carry's Pivot, as well as Trek, but my sights were set ! Craig, not only offered the best deal, but the follow-up service has been nothing less than stellar ! Damn good local bike shop. Stopped in after traveling from out of town. TSA lost a part after inspecting my bike box. They didn't have a replacement but dug through a bin of spare parts to find a substitute. $5 later I was on the trail. Craig even offered to take me out riding on S Mountain the next morning but a family emergency prevented me from joining him.
