I noticed a bad review from someone wanting quality spas to fix every issue with items that had nothing to do with buying a spa! Do your research and higher a contractor to level your deck or concrete pad, not spa companies fault you didn't have that ready before they arrived. During this crazy pandemic, it has been interesting to look for hot tubs. It seems places were either on tremendous backorders, or the prices were horribly inflated for prompt deliveries. Quality Spas was neither of those things. The prices were very reasonable and their stock was readily available. The service I received was very good. Isaac and Cherie have a very upbeat vibe, kind demeanor, and they ALWAYS met my calls and visits with a friendly can-do-it smile/attitude. I went in on more than one occasion to ask questions, ask questions again and then finally to buy! Jeff, the owner is very congenial and easy to work with. He has a positive attitude and never made me feel like an inconvenience. Conversely, he was not high pressure, and he allowed me to make the decision in my own time and in my own way. I did purchase a hot tub and it's been up and running for 3 months now (and we LOVE it!). The delivery team was efficient and easy to work with. They helped me finish out the leveling of my gravel so it would sit just right. The hot tub came together with no issues and I was given a lovely chemical starter package to get the whole affair off and running! I recently needed to buy product, so I started doing a comparison of prices online. I thought I might find the best prices online, but things were pretty expensive. I figured that Quality Spa would have chemicals but that they would be priced high, as that's what I'm used to in specialty stores. To my surprise, they were below the price of anything I could find online! Isaac took time to go over each chemical with me and explain best approaches to balancing the chemicals in my hot tub as well as to troubleshoot the things I had been noticing with my water. He was very well versed. Cherie introduced me to some fun spa-safe crystals that I am now using for a little bit of aroma therapy. We went into quality spas on 11/16/19 a bit guarded after visiting a different spa center a month earlier. I was expecting the same high pressure sales we'd experienced before but that's not how Jeff treated us. I quickly located the spa I thought would work for us and Jeff was quick to agree. Great!!! The free delivery went flawless and the guys that set up our spa gave us excellent directions on how to maintain the integrity of the water. Outstanding quality and price with the hot tubs, but the best thing in dealing with Jeff by far is the customer service. It had a been about a year since we had bought our hut tub and then one of the speakers went out. Called them, he sent someone our the next day, took a couple of times troubleshooting, replacing parts, but kept at it until everything was working perfectly. All at no charge whatsoever. A while later we happened to be going through our paperwork and noticed that the warranty for audio parts is only 90 days. Our whole experience has been like this in dealing with Jeff and his business. Could not be happier with our purchase and the quality of hot tub we got for the price from him. Now bit 4 times by Quality Spa! Go Somewhere Else! This time I will not be swayed to delete my review. Pull up a cup of coffee and read my tale of misery. I feel the truth needs to be done. I bought a spa from Jeff at Quality Spas in fall of 2012. I saws upsold the salt system for $1000 under the premise that with it there would be virtually no maintenance. The hook was set and we bought. The first sign of trouble began when the crew to install the hot tub showed up. It reminded me of 2 guys with a hunting trailer on wheels. Was not what I was expecting. Was a challenge just to try and get them to get it leveled with the plastic levelers luckily I bought in advance. Why would they send people to install a hot tub without levelers? Ok, set electrician came in and wired it up, filled it water. The best part is then I had to fire it up myself. I had a book on the spa, a book on the salt system, but really no clear instructions what to do. Jeff handed me 4 bottles of bromide something and said dump them in and then play with dial up and down to find the right setting. Would be nice, if I really knew what the right setting was and how to do it. Was not more than a month, then I started to experience a series of leaks from the joints and jets. Quality Spas does not really have a service department like others. They have a guy who has done a little work on spas who doesn't really instill you with confidence. If you need top quality service and honesty, check out Northwest Spas on Argonne. They have helped me out of additional issues, which you will read about later. They came out and fixed the first leak, after much complaining. It took me some time and really seemed like this was a hassle for them. Not long after that, we had another leak. They came out, fixed a different leak, and then had the audacity to want to charge me for a service call. I refused to pay on the spot and then had to get into a big back and forth with Jeff and it was not until I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. In the meantime I determined that the brand of spa they had sold me had since gone out of business. Nice. After that, they decided to remove the entire hot tub, take it back to the shop and work to get all the leaks underneath fixed. It was gone for about 2 weeks. It was brought back, installed, and we were up and running. Hopefully the problems were past us. For a while. 6 months later, yup there was more water leaking out from underneath the hot tub. Another service call, and the so called service guy showed up and the primary pump was leaking water out of it. I was informed that this pump could not be serviced, that I would need to buy a new or refurbished pump. This cost me $354 because apparently this was not under warranty and they proceeded to tell me it was because my water quality was off which causes the pump to fail. Pump installed and away we went again. A few months later we really started to experience water quality issues. At this point I was done dealing with Quality Spas, but it was determined the salt system had quit working. Also the service tech that looked at how it had been wired up to the hot tub was unsafe as they just spliced into existing power with screw on terminals for 3 thick wires instead of wiring into the proper adapter and putting it in a different block on the board. Ok, this is when I went to Northwest Spas, had them test my water and I went to a bromine system. I have never had more clear and clean water since I bought the hot tub. DO NOT BUY THE SALT SYSTEM AS IT IS NOT EASY TO MANAGE AND THEY ALL FAIL WITHIN A YEAR. To cap of this review, I have to end by saying that the straw that broke the camel's back came a few weeks ago, when the refurbished pump I HAD to buy, started leaking the exact same way as before. In addition one of the seals next to the motor started leaking. The pump was removed, and it was repaired for less than half the cost of the refurbished I purchased. The reason they made me buy a pump the year before is because they cannot service pumps. The seal joint was removed and replaced and when examined you could tell it was due to shoddy craftsmanship and that it was just a matter of time before it blew. Guess that is what you get for buying a spa from a company going out of business. In summary, Poor Product, Poor Service, Poor Support. Go to a place that sells reputable spas, has a service center, and sells the product you need at a reasonable price. Good Luck! read more

My experience with Jeff and Quality Spas has been outstanding. The prices were the best around - believe me, I shopped quite a bit before buying from Jeff. Jeff and his team delivered my tub when promised, and went above and beyond on the installation. They were professional, competent, and friendly. We have had a few questions/concerns, (most were operator error if you know what I mean), and Jeff returned my calls promptly, and made sure that the situation was resolved to my satisfaction. I have dealt with many retailers in my time, and have had several contractors/installers over the years. Jeff and his team deserve a 5 star rating in my opinion, Were I to find myself in need I would not hesitate to buy from Jeff again or to recommend his services to anyone. We bought a Catalina Dual Temp swim spa from Quality spas after our nightmare of a Arctic Spa failed and failed again I do not recommend Apollo or Arctic Spas at all. We purchased our spa in Oct of 2017 and it was the best purchase we have made for this house. When we started looking for spa's we had no idea what we wanted but after visiting with Jeff about 5 times and asking question after question we knew this was the guy we wanted to buy from. Jeff was always a straight shooter and he never bashed another spa or company the entire time we shopped around. He would always point out the pos/neg of his spa's against the other spas never attacking the other company. (This was huge, almost every other company would talk bad about anyone for the sale). Now to the spa, It is just as good as any high end spa on the market for far less money. We were worried about buying a less expensive spa but after using it for 6 months now we can't be happier with the quality. The best place to buy your hot tub. When we looked for a place to buy a hot tub we visited a lot of different stores. Jeff has great prices and quality products. The hot tub we ordered was delivered on time and as promised. We've also found the follow up service to be great. Jeff is always willing to answer questions and give advice if needed. I bought my hot tub from the "other guys", and now that I need to replace my hot tub cover, I went both to them and to Jeff. The "other guys" that I bought it from did not even have me in the computer anymore (to assist in getting the correct size), so they told me I needed to go home and measure the hot tub itself, even though I had the cover measurements. They had the covers "on sale" but not in stock (???) and the quoted price was 80- more than Jeff quoted me. Also, Jeff has my cover in stock so I can pick it up in the morning. One of the best investments we ever made. We were a little worried because neither of us had experience setting up, maintaining or using a hot tub and we live way way out of town. Jeff was so awesome and helpful throughout the set up time and continues to be very helpful, although we just have not needed too much help.
