Never ever again will we purchase and trees from Spokane Boys. We have a beautiful lush and thriving garden otherwise with multiple trees from other retailers with no issue and have been growers for two decades. We are not the problem. So buyer beware. The trees are beautiful but unfortunately never lasted longer than one year. The Garden decorations, fountains and birdbaths are nice and have lasted. So it's not a complete waste.

I received a text a short time later saying he didn't have time in his schedule? How could he not have any time when we didn't agree to any timeline? Written quotes with the expectations on a job are to protect both the home owner and contractor. Companies that won't give a written quote, in my opinion are shady and the customer won't have any recourse if the job is not done correctly.

My family had Fred from Landsite Development come out this morning to provide a quote/estimate for…read morethe following projects that we would like to have done on our property: 1) 24 foot long wall that is 18 inches to 24 inches tall. 2) Removal of about 2,500 square feet of decorative river rock 3) Several sections of pavers that need to be repaired on a back patio as well as the filling in of a fire pit and covering of the former fire pit with pavers to match. 4) 40 foot paver pathway on a side yard Fred arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time, which was very much appreciated. After viewing the area of the first project, which would be the build of a wall a foot in from the property line, Fred refused to even provide a bid on that project because when he asked about bringing equipment onto our neighbors property we told him he would not be able to do so because although the neighbor who is the homeowner is okay he is renting a room in his garage to someone who is very difficult and we do not want to cause problems. We have had other construction type companies recently (as of September 2020) come onto our property to do work near the property line and when they've asked to bring equipment onto the neighbors property and we've told them "no" those companies have said "okay" and have just brought the equipment on to our property without issue instead. After not being willing to provide a bid on the first project, we showed him the next, which was the removal of river rock from the front yard. He said he would have to charge an hourly fee for that and because of that he refused to provide us an estimate on that project. On to the next project, which would be the repair of multiple sections of pavers that have caved in on two paver patios we have in the back as well as the filling in of an unused fire pit in the middle of one of the patios and installation of pavers to match. Fred looked at the two patios and said that they don't work on those projects and refused to provide an estimate/bid on that project. After that, Fred didn't even take a look at the last project we needed done which was the installation of a 40 foot paver walkway. Even though Landsite Development's website states--and pictures of completed projects from other reviewers online serve to bolster--that they take on projects like the repair of paver patios, the building of walls, and the installation of paver walkways, when you try to get an estimate to get those projects done they claim that they do not do said projects. Because of all of the above, I would not recommend anyone waste their time by contacting Landsite Development who needs paver patios repaired, paver walkways installed, walls built, and rocks removed. Our project would have been a larger project than any of the photos that I've seen online from other reviewers and we are very dismayed that we were refused an estimate.

From the original consultation with Mike, he was able to take our input and put a together a beautiful plan that accommodated all of our wishes with his own vision of what was possible. Dann van Hook managed our project, and provided valuable insight into the options that were available to us. Dann was always available to answer our questions and provide guidance when were we unsure as to what direction we wanted to take. He was open to any changes we proposed and provided detailed estimates and costs and scheduling as the project proceeded. Jacob and his crew were always on time, respectful of our property, worked efficiently and with attention to detail. Alderwood is the best. I was referred to Alderwood initially because they performed the original front-yard landscaping at my house for my builder. So after buying the house I talked to them about finishing the backyard. They came up with a design plan that could be implemented in stages and the results were fantastic. They basically turned what could best be described as a gravel pit to a green, comfortable space for my family. As our needs have changed and our family grown, we've had them back to add features like a fire pit, play set, and so on. Their designs look like something out of a magazine and they will work with you to get the most out of your budget. I highly suggest them, you cannot ask for better. Also as an update, their follow up work is amazing, as they replaced hail damaged plants for us free of charge, even though it obviously wasn't their fault. read more

A month went by, I called Tom and left a message that I am heading out of town and would like to get a bid. Tom and the estimator Jack showed up that day without responding to my message, they just showed up. My wife who wanted input was in her home office on a call with a client and could not get off. If we knew they were coming we would have made the arrangements. Either way, we had a pleasant visit and Jack and Tom appeared to have a plan in mind. A few more weeks pass and I call and speak with Tom. He said they have been real busy and Jack will have an estimate to me by the end of the following week. After that following week, I call and leave a message with Tom on his answering service. No response. A week later, I call the office directly and spoke with a very nice young receptionist that I left all my information with for Jack to please return my call. She assured he he would get the message. That was now 10 days ago. I did not give 1 star because I have not had them actually do any work for me. They did not get a 5 because they did not do any work for me. They do deserve a review because I did deal with their customer service through the bid process, and this review comes 3 weeks after they originally told me they can start. If there is a logical explanation as to why this went so poorly, I would love to hear it and I would adjust my review accordingly. But when I do business, or try to do business with a company, I will always give an honest review of how the process went. In this case, the process went nowhere.

End of April 2025, I hired Landscape Pros to install a back yard for me. The owner Josh came to my…read morehouse and gave me a bid to level the back yard, bring in top soil, install curbing, hydroseed, gravel and a sprinkler system. He quoted me a price which after getting several bids I thought was fair and reasonable. Once the work was completed Josh informed me he needed to raise my bid $150.00 for "extra" work that was done. What the extra was I am not sure. A few weeks into May I started noticing that the sprinkler system was not covering the full yard. Some areas were flooding while other areas were not getting any water at all. I contacted Josh and asked him to come back and adjust the sprinklers. He sent one of his guys over and after discussion he removed one of the sprinkler heads that was causing flooding. He adjusted the other sprinkler heads, but still the yard was not getting coverage. I asked him to come back a second time when I noticed water bubbling out of the ground. They had poured concrete on top of a sprinkler head. By this time the grass was dead and I had to bring in more top soil and reseed. Several of the sprinkler heads were buried so far into the ground that they could not pop up over the curbing. By this time I was getting pretty frustrated when my sprinkler would not shut off. The valve box was full of water, a third time I asked Josh to come out and fix the leaking valve. Which I am told he did, however the leaking didn't stop. On the fourth request to fix the sprinkler problems I was told I was watering too much, and water was "splashing into the valve box" Really??? I am a women but I am not stupid. Four or five times I requested that Josh come and fix the problems and I always received a text "once my guys are free" it is now the end of August. I ended up hiring someone else to correct all the issues that Josh and Landscape Pros have caused. The people I hired to fix the sprinkler said the manifold and valves that were installed by Landscape Pros were old and possibly used. The manifold was cracked and leaking water, which if it was new (installed in May) it shouldn't be that damaged. Landscape Pros have no attention for detail and the work was very sloppy, in addition if a landscape company is going to take full advantage of a single widow you need to ask yourself if you really want to hire them.

They were responsive and punctual. Michael showed up on time to give an estimate and provided a quote with 3 days. I was stood up and did not receive so much as a phone call from 2 other companies. 2. Prompt and professional customer service. Whenever I sent an email, my questions were promptly answered. 3. Their bid was fair and reasonable. I received in total 3 bids and the one that was like for like as far as material, installation, and time, was significantly incomplete compared to Michael's, so I went with K2. 4. The work was done and completed to my satisfaction, in spite of winter weather challenges, and I appreciate that more than anything. We sought a new fence to keep our pup safe but not detract from the neighborhood beauty. We decided to go with a pressure treated posts hog wire fence. I have a high standard when it comes to completed work. I want it to look good and be aesthetically pleasing top to bottom. That was accomplished with K2. There are no gaps along the bottom of the fence, it's uniform, gates are well constructed, and concrete posts are covered. I appreciate the work they did and more importantly I love my fence.
