I always consult Yelp reviews prior to contacting a company and obtaining a bid. While they had…read morelimited reviews, k2 Landscaping deserves a 5 star review for the following reasons. 1. They were responsive and punctual. Michael showed up on time to give an estimate and provided a quote with 3 days. I was stood up and did not receive so much as a phone call from 2 other companies. 2. Prompt and professional customer service. Whenever I sent an email, my questions were promptly answered. 3. Their bid was fair and reasonable. I received in total 3 bids and the one that was like for like as far as material, installation, and time, was significantly incomplete compared to Michael's, so I went with K2. 4. The work was done and completed to my satisfaction, in spite of winter weather challenges, and I appreciate that more than anything. We sought a new fence to keep our pup safe but not detract from the neighborhood beauty. We decided to go with a pressure treated posts hog wire fence. I have a high standard when it comes to completed work. I want it to look good and be aesthetically pleasing top to bottom. That was accomplished with K2. There are no gaps along the bottom of the fence, it's uniform, gates are well constructed, and concrete posts are covered. I appreciate the work they did and more importantly I love my fence.

We are en route back to Spokane after cancelling and told him we would be one hour late. After asking us to accommodate his truck, he told us no, he could not change the time. We said that it was fine and booked with another company instead. He has called multiple times, yelling and threatening that this was the last day we could get the service and raising his voice at me. It was the type of convo that made us glad we have our security cameras on. I would advise folks to stay away from this very unprofessional person, and go to one of the many other legit services in Spokane.

They are relatively uncommon in our area so that's not surprising. So we met Jim Gowin at the house and he did an assessment and gave us an estimate and we set a date to do that actual treatment. The house is vacant at the moment so we had to make plans to come from out of town. Jim showed up on time (I was actually late and that was not a problem for him) and he took care of the problem. He was professional and reasonable and I also appreciate that he is a small operation, not one of those big impersonal outfits and you don't know who is going to do the actual work. We will call on Gowin Pest Solutions in the future.

Written quotes with the expectations on a job are to protect both the home owner and contractor. Companies that won't give a written quote, in my opinion are shady and the customer won't have any recourse if the job is not done correctly.

I installed their grass almost a year ago. Buying from Ray's was the worst decision I made. Their…read moregrass looks like it's a mix of what ever grass seed they could get cheap. Lots of annual grass that didn't come back after the winter. I have patches of thick blades grass patches of thin grass, spots that have browned that you can clearly see was a roll of grass. They were nice enough to provide me grass with an invasive grass (Poa). Weeds that I'm still pulling out and every roll came with no less than 10 grubs each. Their resolution was for me to buy weed be gone and grub killer and apply it myself. I did and in the front yard alone I applied two rounds of grub killer and a large container of spray weed be gone. I've also spent $100 on pre and post emergent to try to remove Poa grass that is through out my entire front yard. I mowed today and found another patch of Poa so I'll be reapplying more post emergent. Do yourself a favor and save yourself from frustrations and don't buy from them. Once it's down, their customer service stops and it becomes your problem.

It took them 2 weeks to call me back (should have known based on that, but they did good, fast work the previous time I hired, so was inclined to stay with them). When they called back we set an appointment to have someone out on Saturday June 2nd to inspect the system. They gave me a range of between 10am and 1pm. Not ideal, but oh well. I sat around Saturday morning waiting, and nobody showed up. I left home around 1:15 PM to run my errands (my wife was still home). I called the office and left a message at 2 PM questioning why they never showed up, etc. Granted, it is only the Monday after, but I have called their office 3 times today and no answer, and they haven't called me back.

So I called him and told him I had to turn on the main water valve to have water in the house. He said he couldn't find the valve for the sprinkler shut off, and then told me I should know more about my house and where the valve is. I got a reputable company to come out, and he found the sprinkler valve immediately, directly above the main water valve. In our phone conversation, Fred said he'd refund my $40.00. It is now 3 weeks later, and guess what, no check has arrived.
