I put in a 5 star review when I first went there to get help explaining how to install a fountain in my yard. They gave me all the information that I needed to complete my project. I installed the fountain as they taught me and it was great. The third time I turned on the pump I had bought from them it did not work properly. I pulled out the pump and brought it to Luke at Spokane Boys and explained the problem. Without any hassle Luke took it and replace it with a new one. I put it in and it is perfect. WAY too expensive. $350 for a tree is outrageous. They will say how great and healthy they are, but come on.

My husband and I have purchased 3 trees with in the past 3 years. First year, pine oak died. Second year dogwood, died third year Japanese Maple has major fungal issues I hadn't noticed when purchasing. Now it needs to be removed and my Soil is contaminated. We did not over water. We follow directions exactly. We have now wasted $800 dollars at least! Every single tree we have planted has either died shortly after or had serious fungal issues. Never ever again will we purchase and trees from Spokane Boys. We have a beautiful lush and thriving garden otherwise with multiple trees from other retailers with no issue and have been growers for two decades. We are not the problem. So buyer beware. The trees are beautiful but unfortunately never lasted longer than one year. The Garden decorations, fountains and birdbaths are nice and have lasted. So it's not a complete waste. read more

Had my yard fully landscaped with inputting a new sprinkler system, sod, and a lot of rock, they had to bring in a lot of dirt to level out my yard and planted a few trees last minute. They did an amazing job, and I was very impressed with their work, they got it done in a week, great customer service, they made adjustments to what I wanted and were very accommodating. They had exactly ONE plant on my list. Headed to Spokane Boys and they not only had most of the plants on my list, the plants looked WAY healthier. AND Evan literally walked me from plant to plant to give me suggestions, answer questions, and gathered my (80) plants and trees to be delivered. I then changed my mind on a tree, prior to delivery, and they quickly and graciously sorted it out. We've since had two more transactions and the customers service (Evan and Josh) have been nothing short of great. We've been impressed with their quality and breadth of selection. This review is for their Christmas Tree seasonal business. Everything started off well. We were greeted by a nice gentleman. We had immediately found the tree we liked. The gentleman assisted us, asked us if we were wanting to purchase one of their special tree stands. I asked how much and he quoted $45. Now mind you, this was a stand that appeared to be a twisted up concoction of rebar. We declined the tree stand. Now we did bring our own tree stand with the intent to ask if they could attach to our tree. The nice man who was helping us apprehensively said he would. I had just had surgery on my arm and he was doing the nice human kindness deed for us knowing that this task would be near impossible for me to accomplish. Thank you nice gentleman who helped us with this. So he gave me the tag and told me where to go and pay. I go up to the register and again was greeted by a nice lady. She convinces me to purchase a few packets of tree food. Rings me up... $150+ for a tree and some tree food. Now normally we go and cut our own tree and maybe spend $50-$75. $150 is just ridiculous. I should have known after the cost quote for the tree stand that this place was going to be extra pricey with their trees. I get that they are a business and a business has overhead, payroll, what have you but this truly felt like a rip off. Shame on me for not asking how much. Just have never come close to this price, even with a pre-cut so I assumed it would not be any more than $100... again, my fault for not asking in the first place. The main reason I am giving this place such a low rating is due to how the "boss" of the first nice gentleman had treated his employee for helping us out due to my current limited disability. He pretty much chewed out this guy in front of us saying things like "we don't do that here". We felt bad because this guy got chewed out because of us. Thank you to the nice employee who went above and beyond to take care of a customer. Shame on the management here for making him feel like he messed up for being kind. Good customer service is what brings people back. He didn't give us a free stand or anything like that. He attached our stand that we brought with us because he knew that I would not be able to without assistance. And he was talked down to and reprimanded in front of us. Merry Christmas! So all of that being said, I will not be bringing any more business to Spokane Boys, I will be sharing this experience with others and will highly recommend not going here in the future. We will be having sone landscape work done in 2020. Guess who will not be receiving our business. Be good to your workers. We have a landscaped hill in our back yard that originally had 1 1/2" river rock around the plants. Over the years the rock has slid and been buried, and we needed a lot of rock added. 4 different guys over the course of 3 days hauled nearly 8 cubic yards of rock in 5-gallon buckets until it looked picture perfect. They guys took great care and respect for the landscaping, and we couldn't be happier. I will say when you agree to an hourly rate versus a project rate it is important you clarify what is billable time and not assume anything. After getting a quote for $65 a hour for pruning after one hour of work we were charged $150. The story was then changed to $65 per hour per worker. That still didn't make sense with 4 workers being here. We won't be using them again. Hope they invest the money we'll be the last from us. read more

We stopped to look at there christmas trees and quite expensive. 4' and 5' trees from 60$ to 70$ so I asked if there were any cheaper trees we could look at the owner/ mgr. pointed to a row of 6' tall bull pines. I couldn't believe it when I walked over closer to them. They had a 1" to 1 1/2" circumference at the bottom with maybe 6 limbs coming off the stock. They made a Charlie Brown tree look like the thickest tree in the forest. It was like rubbing our nose in it. I will go without a tree after having one for 70 years in a row. The lot boy was super nice the owner/mgr. should take some lessons on public relations from him. He was short and rude to us when all we did was asked about a cheaper tree. I had a really large stone retaining wall installed and an old railroad wall removed. They did an exceptional jobs. Pouring rain, part of the time, and the crew worked their butts off. They made sure that I knew bushes that had roots growing under the existing wall would be removed. All the brush was taken away. Nothing was a surprise. Great place to buy a Christmas tree, prices are in line with other tree lots, but this place seems to have the best variety from which to choose. We purchased their Christmas tree stand (after 2 years of struggling with our own)...saved us about an hour of time and tree is so much more stable! I had multiple problems with Spokane Boys. Our yard was a mess and we needed someone to cut down all the weeds and spray in order to get it back in presentable order. When Chad first came out to give us an estimate, he started with "how much are you willing to spend? because I don't wanna waste my time or your time." That should have been my first clue. But in any case, I foolishly decided to go with Spokane Boys anyway. A few days later, they came out and sprayed our yard to kill the weeds. They told me that they would be back in 10 days to weedwack everything. So we made an appointment for 10 days later. Well... 10 days came and went and still no Chad. On day 14 I called and they told me that they would come out when they are available. Problem number 2. Finally Spokane Boys came out to weedwack everything and spray again. On a scale of 1-10, I'd have to rate the work about a 6. Not great, but not awful. Though I think you can get better for your money. He left some decent sized patches of weeds, but cut most of it down. Granted our yard was very overgrown, but these were obvious patches, not weeds mixed in with plants. Finally, it came time to pay. I received a call from them on Wednesday July 18 asking for payment saying it was late. Now I never received a bill from them, but I trust them when they say the sent it. Whatever... USPS loses mail sometimes. I wont hold it against Spokane Boys. What really bothered me, though, was that only 2 hours later after the phone call, we had Spokane Boys knocking on our door demanding payment. Problem number 3. Never in my life have I had someone come to my house to demand payment for something. The phone call would have been sufficient. But strong-arm tactics like coming to my house are threatening. My wife, who was trying to get some sleep after being up all night caring for a 3 month old baby, was rudely awakened and confronted by a representative from Spokane Boys. She felt very uncomfortable, to say the least. In short, I am very dissatisfied with their service and I cannot recommend Spokane Boys to anyone. I've used Spokane Boys twice over the past two years. Both times, I received great service from their manager, Chad, as well as their other workers. In the summer of 2013, Spokane Boys bulldozed my backyard, rototilled, graded everything out & hydro seeded. The result was an amazing lawn which looks just as good this year as it did last year. The individual Spokane Boys uses as a bobcat operator is nothing short of a professional who KNOWS how to use that machine! This spring (2014), Spokane Boys returned to give me a new driveway. My previous driveway was gravel & overgrown with weeds and other debris. The "bobcat professional" made short work of all of the overgrown areas & debris and leveled everything out professionally. 10 yards of new gravel was spread out & leveled. What a difference! I would most certainly recommend Spokane Boys to any friend, acquaintance or stranger. Their prices are quite reasonable for the product they deliver. read more

I previously had good service from Spokane Boys over the last three years. My husband and I hired them in 2015 to do a total landscape of our backyard including sprinkler system, sod, and gravel areas. The work was awesome. We sold that home in 2016 and hired them to install sprinklers at our new home. No problems. Fast forward to this year- we have a few sprinkler heads that need adjusting/replacing and I called for an appointment. Someone was supposed to come around 4 yesterday. Guess what? Nobody showed. I called the office at 5 and left a voicemail. Nobody returned my call before they closed at 6. I got a call this morning from Chad that he would come by today and take a look at the system. I relayed how upset I was about the missed appointment and he tried to tell me his office assistant had called me the day before- I told him that was a complete lie because if that had happened I would not be this angry. I've already called another sprinkler company to fix things and I will not have Spokane Boys do any work for me ever again. 7/14/18- update: In anger, I blocked their number. I found a voicemail that was left the same day with an apology from the office assistant. This was very unexpected, but I feel it would not have happened if I had not written this review because it was specifically mentioned in the voicemail. Spokane Boys are FANTASTIC. sometimes hard to contact, but make up for this through the work.! We had our side yard cleared and gravel put down. They stayed until 7pm or so to make sure the job was completed and the gate was clear to safely use. Came here years ago before Halloween one year with my then girlfriend to buy pumpkins. It was our first time there. They had a decent selection but we ended up just choosing one medium sized pumpkin. We liked the store, location, etc But the guy over charged us 20$ for one pumpkin! I was young and dumb at the time and didn't put two and two together until few days later. I was pretty disappointed. I'm sure it's an honest company but that one employee just really tarnished my image of this place. He was a bigger guy kinda older maybe late 40's. I wish I had gotten his name. Really disappointed he charged me 20$ for one dang pumpkin. Again, the company's been here for a while so maybe that guy got fired or changed his ways but I'm giving this place one star because to scam your customers like that is so scummy and slimy. We had Spokane Boys Inc. installed our sprinkler system in April of 2016 as well as signed up to have our sprinklers blown out each year for 55.00/year. At the end of the first season they blew them out with no issues, today however I got a call that when they blew them out and something came loose and I needed to call them back. I called them back and was told that some of the connections came loose and blew mud onto the house. They said that they would come back in the spring to repair the lines, I then asked at no charge correct? No, at 60 dollars an hr. I then asked to speak with the owner. The owner called back and stated that the amount of pressure to blow out the lines will find the "weak spots" and that it isn't anything that they did. And that it would be easy to fix, sometimes this happens ect ect, but would cost 60 dollars an hour. Please keep in mind THEY installed the system, it isn't even 2 years old, THEY have done the blow outs on their system. THEY are the only ones to touch the system, so if it wasn't anything that they did? Then who did it? They either had the pressure too high, or did not install the system correctly. I understand that sometimes things don't get tightened or done correctly but I'm sure not willing to pay 60.00 an hr. to the same person to fix their shotty work. Especially when its an easy fix. I have pictures of the proof and have posted them on facebook as well as google review, but I don't see how to post them here. When paying a "professional" to do something you don't have the time to do yourself, you should not have to come home from work to this and have no customer service. I had an appointment scheduled with the "boss" for a Monday. I took the day off from work to be there to discuss what we wanted done. Having no one show up at 4:30pm I called the office and was told the "boss" was sick. I asked that they contact him and find out when I could expect him. The person I spoke to returned my call and told me that he didn't think the "boss" would be in the next day and couldn't give me any information as to when I could expect someone at my house. I would have appreciated a call to let me know that they wouldn't be out so I could have went to work and not lost a days pay. I will give this job to another company and would not recommend a company that cares so little for their customer's time. read more
