Today was my first and my LAST time coming here. I wasn't really looking for a new spot but they are close to my house. (refer to pics) My nails turned out so MESSY and SORE. Even the skin above my cuticle was a mess. Adding insult to injury, I wasn't told until it was time to pay that I was being charged for "cut down" and he (John) only shaved off 1 centimeter...literally...WHILE filing...nothing extra just filing! There are some good technicians here and I would go to them. That being said, I've been here enough times and seen the way the mgmt runs things...a little shady. Last time I was there someone called with a complaint and the owner/wife said that the mgmt was not in, yet she was sitting right in front of me! The gel polish seems to be watered down as almost every time I have gone, it has lifted within the first couple of days. Save your money, too many other better salons to go to nearby to waste your time/money here. read more

I love this salon for the pedicures however, if you get acrylic nails, this is not the best place to go. They do not stay on and the shapeing is a little funky. They are all great people and very friendly. I would defiantly recommend for a pedicure. read more

I went in to get a nail repair.. he saw my nails and first thing he says is that he doesn't have the color.. i told him i didn't mind my nails being a different color i just wanted them fixed. I also bought my own tips bc i like curve nails and tips i ordered online are custom made. He said he had the same tips when i know for a fact he didn't. I said but i want these tips not yours, he proceeds to say He can't do my nail repair. Chyy please I'll take my money else where! My mother, sister & I wanted to try out this place. The woman who done my nails took forever. I could hardly understand what she was saying and asking me to do. She was very rough & obviously wanted to get me done as fast as possible. She had very long nails on herself so it would hurt when she would grab my fingers to file them down. She scratched up the sides of my fingers with the file. The nails were very beautiful and I would go again if the workers were more gentle & didn't cost so much ! It costed $95 for my sister to get her nails & toes done, me to get my toes & acrylic nails done and for my mother to get a foot scrub. read more

I want to Thank John for going above and beyond for us today. We got our nails and toes done today. My daughters nails didn't turn out well the first time. It was closing time. He took the time to stop what he was doing to make it right. He asked questions and took his time. No rushing to get us out so that he could go home. He made sure we were happy. If I could give no stars I would! I went there to get a fill in and gel polish. The cost was $35.00. As soon as I left one of the nails chipped! I went back and the girl redid the nail. I got home an hour later and the same nail chipped again plus two more! The shop is beautiful, but the prices are terrible! I will NEVER go back! I do not recommend this salon! read more

Horribly overpriced. Worst $55 manicure ever. Did not soften cuticles. Used a nail buffer to trump them after nails were done. Wasn't going to trim them or make them even until I asked. Did not put lotion on after. Mentioned that there was still dirt under a nail and the tech said it was my natural nail?? Will not be back. read more

I went the other day to get sns done on my nails, the next day they started lifting because the sides of my nails were hardly done. I called to have them fixed and the girl on the phone said no problem as long as I had the person that did them fix them they will not charge. I came in today had an appointment to have them fixed and then when she said I was all set it would be $40 I just spent $45 the day before and then said they would do it for $25 because "I changed the color" absolutely absurd I will not be doing business with them going forward. read more

If I could a 0 then I would. I visited for a pedicure and nail polish change. The lady turned on my water for pedicure and walked off causing it to overflow and spill unto the floor. Other technicians just watched the water run over and literally turned their backs. Once she finally returned to clean water up and rerun it she turned it to scalding hot water and walks away yet again. Finally after yelling for minutes another nail tech came to adjust temperature. Once water was turned off I was left to sit there for a half hour until someone finally came to do my pedicure only to let the water out and have me move down a chair so that she could seat a couple side by side. After all of this I was asked to return another day to get my nails done because it was almost closing time. Now mind you the shop closes at 7 or 8 and I got there at approximately 515. I then returned 3 days later for a nail polish change against my better judgement only to be seated for 30 minutes watching people come in after me get their nails done. I would not recommend this place if it were the last place on earth open and I never give bad reviews however this experience is one I will never forget and do not want anyone to experience whatsoever. read more

Me Ella does an incredible job with my SNS manicure, as they look thin and natural, and my nails ALWAYS last at least 3 weeks! Highly recommend!!! read more

Every time I come here i feel like they trick me. My first question always "how long is the wait" they say no wait. But for pedicure they get the water ready and you sit and wait in the chair for an hour. Everytime I come here I wait atleast an hour before someone gets started. First off, I have come here many times and the pedicures are great and I would recommend getting your toes done at Splendid Nails. However, DO NOT get your eyebrows waxed here. I clearly told the woman that I was very happy with my current shape, that I like them thick and that I just wanted them cleaned up. After the first wax strip, I said again - remember, not too thin! When I was finally handed the mirror, she had both significantly thinned my brows and changed the shape. They are also not even. On top of all this, I had a reaction to the products and have a broken out over my brows. I have gotten my eyebrows waxed in many, many places over the years and I have never been this dissatisfied. This is a combination score. My daughter and I went to get mani/pedis in preparation for my wedding next week. This was her first ever pedicure. No one introduced themselves so I can't give you names. The lady who did my daughter's nails was very nice and put her at ease, a hard task since she hates having anyone touch her feet. Her nails also turned out very nice. 4.5 stars review if just my daughter went today. The lady who did my nails took twice as long so my daughter had to wait almost an hour for me to be done. My nails look okay but I wouldn't return because they're just barely okay, and besides taking forever she was not personal plus she kept getting up and just disappearing. 2 stars for my mani/pedi. read more

I went on Yelp found Spendid and thought I'd give it a try. My first experience was great! They offered me wine or a beverage, promptly put me in a pedicure chair and the ladies were super friendly. Tee did a great job on my feet and introduced me to SNS nail system. I do not typically like fake nails but this was a powder that they dip three times. This is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. They lady tried to clip my Sns off and nearly took off my fingernail. After 10 minutes of filing the nails I asked if she could just soak them off. She did, 3 different times because she couldn't get it off. I was in there for 45 to just get my sns off... ridiculous. She was lazy and kept yawning in my face. I will not be back here. read more

I had an amazing experience. I relocated to concord and have been searching for a place to get a great pedicure. I came in and was greeted right away and serviced immediately. This place is WAAAAAY overpriced. I got a pedicure, and gel full set, my 11 year old only got a polish change on toes and nails. It was $145. That is almost double what I have paid elsewhere for the same thing done better. The lady was very rude to my daughter and yelled at her when she put her hand under the dryer too soon. My daughter was apologizing and felt bad. The woman started huffing and being rough on my daughter. She's lucky I know Jesus or I would've knocked her out. I wish we would have just gotten up and left. She was very rough on my hands as well and cut me twice. My cuticles still look bad after spending all that money. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of one is my daughter's polish turned out well and the lady who did my pedicure was very good. Also, I know most of these places are run by Vietnamese, but most places try to have conversations with their customers in English. These people spent 95% of the time talking in their native tongue with little or no regard to their customers. I felt very uncomfortable. *Edit My daughter's nail broke a couple of hours after I wrote this review (the same day she had them done). Now that they've upgraded, to the nail bar (which is ice by the looks) the staff are rude and pretty much just do what they want. I was very unhappy with my nails this last time I went and made it known, and nothing was done about it of course. I eventually got tired of repeating myself- paid 60$ for god knows why ( I asked and he just looked at me..) and left. Crazy, they used to be my favorite place and now it's definitely a LAST resort. I asked for a sun on my toe nails for a designated the lady said she didn't know how to do that. She had to ask a different lady to do it. When I told her what I wanted she said "ok I'll do a flower". I replied saying "no I want a sun". Then I showed her a picture of a sun. I went with my friend today and it was one of the WORST nail salon experiences EVER! First of all when the man was clipping my nails he CUT MY SKIN! Next when he was smoothing my nails out he cut my cuticles TWICE! And the polish was so bumpy and had little hairs stuck in every nail, and my friends French tip set was not good they started the tips half way down her nail and it does not look well done, and the lady who was doing her nails got up and left 3 TIMES and went and helped other costumers for at least 10 mins each time! The owner then asked me to sit at the station behind me and someone will be with me in a couple of seconds. I waited for at least 25 minutes and another staff member walked up to me and ask if I can move to the front because he has to do someone else nails. The most trash nail salon. There are some people that work there that are nice but there is one older woman there that is EVIL AND RUDE! She just tries to rush you and doesn't do a good job at all. horrible service. went with my sister. we signed in and sat down. about 10 minutes after we came in a girl came in with her boyfriend someone immediately asked her what she wanted and seated her. while doing this they avoided eye contact with both me and my sister. there were about 5 people to do our nails and instead of starting on us they avoided us like the plague and doubled up on the girl. One did her nails and the other one started her toes. 20 minutes later another lady came in, they immideately sat her as well. During this experience i kept my cool and never said one bad word. Giving them the benefit of the doubt. About 20 minutes after the second incident (been in the salon for 50 minutes now) a couple came in. Again someone came to get them as soon as they sat down. When my sister and I politely let it be known that we had been there before them the workers talked over us, and ignored us. Thankfully the guy in the couple realized how long we'd been waiting and refused to go and let us go before them. When the stylists realized that the couple wouldn't go until we were seated the 'manager' told one girl to seat us at her station. She huffed and puffed and eventually called us back to her. I sat down and my sister sat in the seat beside me. She started to rip the gel polish off of my nails. She didn't use acetone, or nail polish remover, or file down the gel nails, she just picked at the corner and ripped them off. During this the couple was seated at the back to get started on their mani pedi. I asked the lady that was doing my nails if there was anyone to do my sisters nails. She ignored me the first time. The second time I answered she told me there was a lady that was available but she was slow and i 'wouldn't want her to do my sisters nails anyway because she would take an hour'. I looked up and realized that the lady she was talking about had gotten started on the couple. She had heard me ask and leaned over to the girl beside her and told her that she wasn't going to do my sisters nails because she didnt want to. At this point I am livid. I tip well and I was very polite the entire stay. If the girl had done her job right (taken my gel nails off with care, or not huffing and puffing the entire time) she could have expected a $20 dollar tip on top of the $60 cost of the nails i was going to get done. which would have been way over 20%. However I was so disgusted by the complete lack of proffesionalism that I asked that after she took the gel nails off that she just file my nails and that was it.
