I honestly never really take time out to review businesses and restaurants. I'm pretty standard and laidback. On this occasion, I felt urged to. This by far has been my worst nail salon experience and I'm a monthly mani/pedi girl. I was passing through Kannapolis on the way back from a business trip and figured I would stop and get my nails done. Upon parking and walking toward the salon, an Asian woman asks me "What you want?" I tell her and she sits me down for my pedicure. Nowadays pretty much every nail place offers at least some water to drink, if your lucky a glass of or . In 15 min she was done with my pedi no massage scrub or anything. She removed the calluses on my feet with a cheese grater!!! I couldn't believe it!!! I will never grate cheese again the same way. The tools were already laid out and she didn't use a liner for the tub which made me wonder if anything was sanitized
Next was my gel mani. Again just rushing through she left several snags and did not remove the dry cuticles. When I asked her to do so, she was visibly annoyed. At this point I didn't want to argue, I just wanted to leave because my blood was beginning to boil. Throughout my visit, she was so rude to the customers coming in. When it comes time to pay, previously I had asked her about prices- $22 for pedi/$20for mani. She charges me $50 whatever she can keep the $8.I wasn't planning on tipping her anyway, but why lie about prices. I paid and ran out of there. I had to come home and basically re-do my manicure because my nails kept snagging on my clothes. Literally a day later the gel peeled off on 2 nails. Ugh, moral of the story find a good nail place and stick to it. I live in Charlotte and usually go to a beautiful nail place of University City Blvd. Same prices for top notch service and my glass of wine... read more
