** ONE STAR -- WOULD GIVE ZERO IF I COULD! WHAT HAPPENED TO SPLASH? FROM MY 5-STAR EXPERIENCE IN MARCH TO THIS COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT!**
I am genuinely questioning what is going on at Splash at Thrive City!
On **March 1, 2026, I visited Splash and had such an outstanding experience that I gave the establishment a FIVE-STAR review.** The experience was positive enough that I looked forward to returning.
Fast-forward to **Saturday, October 17, 2026, for the Louïe Brunch event**, and I honestly cannot believe this is the same establishment!
**WHAT HAPPENED TO THE QUALITY, SERVICE, AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL?**
We attended expecting an enjoyable afternoon of food, cocktails, music, and the special experiences advertised. Unfortunately, this event did not come remotely close to meeting expectations!
**FIRST, THE FOOD WAS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!**
We were served UNDERCOOKED CALAMARI! After bringing the issue to their attention, we received a replacement burger and fries.
**THE FRIES WERE ICE COLD!**
Seriously, Splash? TWO opportunities to serve an acceptable meal, and BOTH were disappointing!
Where is the kitchen oversight? Where is the quality control? How does an establishment that previously earned five stars from me fail so miserably at something as basic as preparing and serving food?
**AND THE DISAPPOINTMENT DIDN'T STOP THERE!**
The Louïe Brunch advertised brunch bites, Aperol Spritz cocktails, promotional merchandise, Polaroid souvenirs, and entertainment.
We expected TWO souvenir pictures, one for each of us, and did not receive them!
We also witnessed promotional towels being handed to certain guests while others received nothing. No clear explanation, no apparent consistency, and certainly not the organized experience we expected.
**THE EVENT WAS OVERPROMISED AND UNDERDELIVERED!**
We made plans and dedicated part of our Saturday to attending. We expected an event worthy of Splash's location at Thrive City. Instead, we received undercooked food, ice-cold replacement fries, unfulfilled souvenir expectations, and inconsistent merchandise distribution.
A colorful Aperol Spritz and attractive venue do not compensate for a disappointing experience!
**THE BEST PART OF THE DAY? THE GOLDEN STATE VALKYRIES WON GAME 1!**
Thankfully, the Valkyries delivered something worth celebrating, because Splash certainly did not!
**WHAT MAKES THIS EVEN MORE DISAPPOINTING IS THAT I KNOW SPLASH CAN DO BETTER!**
I gave Splash FIVE STARS on March 1 because that visit earned them. This time, ONE STAR feels generous!
I am not sure what has changed with management, staffing, kitchen operations, or event execution, but something clearly needs attention.
**SPLASH MANAGEMENT -- YOU NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER!**
Whatever standards were in place when I visited in March need to be restored. Customers should not have to gamble on whether they will receive a five-star experience or a complete disappointment.
I have photographs documenting the food, the replacement meal, and the advertised event.
**BOTTOM LINE: SPLASH WENT FROM A FIVE-STAR EXPERIENCE TO A ONE-STAR DISAPPOINTMENT IN JUST OVER SEVEN MONTHS!**
I previously recommended this establishment. After this experience, I cannot do so with confidence.
**Unless Splash makes meaningful improvements, I WILL NOT BE BACK!**
The Valkyries earned their victory. **Splash lost a previously satisfied customer.** read more
