Bacon Jam Public House Burger
Michelle R.

I had the Bacon Jam Burger...very tasty! The fries were "so so". Our server was extremely friendly and came by to check on us regularly! We were here when they first opened, so it wasn't too busy or loud. Not 5 star...food wasn't worthy of that rating. Also, they had no posted hours (on the door, website, or voicemail when I called in)...

The bartender was super friendly and gave us hotel recommendations. Food wasn't what I thought it would be. We were so excited to visit after seeing it on bar rescue and I was sad none of the sisters were there.

A little packed but good vibes. My first time visiting. It's a first come first serve kinda place. You have to kinda wait a while and run for the first table that opens. We only waited like 5 min luckily. Our waiter was a little moody and non existent but the Manager was very nice. We ordered the nachos and they were packed full of flavor and the wings were just as good. The drinks were strong and delicious as well. I would definitely return to this place on my next Giants Game visit. Would have given this place 5stars if it wasn't for the service we got. Maybe it will be better next time ‍

What's not to love about this spot! It's at the ballpark and the food is delicious as always ! It's very crowded on game days just so you know and they get you drinks pretty fast from the bar, only deducted stars cause it's kinda a free fall when trying to find your own table, but a definite plus is you can enter stadium from restaurant! Go Giants!!!

I heard the food sucks here. It's a spot to drink and not eat. :) chill spot tho!

It was a dark and stormy night. My friends and I had just wrapped up our Dungeons & Dragons campaign for the evening and wanted to go out to dinner... somewhere relatively close by and inexpensive. We'd gone to Epic Steak before, but it was a little too far to walk or bus in the rain. Someone suggested Public House, which was a brilliant idea. No one would be here during the baseball off-season. We walked in and found the place to be relatively empty, except for an alumni party happening in a semi-private section of the restaurant. Our waiter was super friendly and chill. He sat us at a giant table because why not? We ordered a pitcher of IPA, some fries, and dinner. I got the steak with garlic butter, which seemed appropriate for the environment. It was surprisingly good. I always assumed that "touristy" food would be subpar. Looking around, Public House is a great place to host parties or watch the game. I would never come here during a game day because I can't deal with crowds, but that's the perk of living walking distance from AT&T Park. Enjoy all the eateries when no one else is there. I'd definitely come here again!

Attached to the ballpark and probably packed on game days. Stopped by on a walk by the ballpark on a Sunday during nfl. You'd think with games on it'd be more crowded but it was pretty empty. Sat for a good 15 minutes with no acknowledgement. Our server was terrible, inattentive, a little rude. French fries were mediocre at best. After a few drinks it became apparent why nobody comes here. Would never stop in again unless I had to use the restroom.

Decided to come here in the off-season before the games start. Always such a crowd on game day that I don't even bother anymore. Amazingly on Saturday night we walked in to an almost empty place and sat down to watch a Warriors game. It was nice to sit down with just a few other patrons there, have a burger, some mini corn dogs, some beers and nachos. Now don't laugh, but I love their nachos. They don't drown it in salsa to the point where the chips get flimsy. It is mostly beans and guacamole and the nachos are served on a crispy baked tortilla as well. Really great! The burger and onion rings were perfect along with the mini corn dogs. What really works in the offseason is that you can watch sports on multiple stations just as if you were your own living room and not having to deal with too many people if that is your preference.

So have you heard about the Impossible Burger? Well, Jamie W. read about it and thought we should try it here since we are on a continual quest to eat healthier. Sure, we've had veggie burgers before, some really good ones like the Black Bean Chipotle Veggie Burger at the Garden Grill up in Guerneville (photo: http://bit.ly/2sn9ifr) and our personal favorite, the Butterbean Burger at the Boiler Room Oyster Bar in Kinston, North Carolina (photo: http://bit.ly/2sAkJAS). So we were intrigued enough by this all-plant variation that we ordered a couple of the $14 ones they served here where our previous dining experiences involved jalapeno poppers, deviled eggs, their regular PH burger, and oh yeah, beer on tap to facilitate the guzzling of such cholesterol-infested grub. Well, apparently there is no cholesterol in an Impossible Burger nor antibiotics nor meat of any kind. What gives the burger its meaty flavor is heme, which is the non-protein, insoluble, iron protoporphyrin constituent of hemoglobin. Say what? I just copy-pasted that from an online medical dictionary, but that's what makes the patty look, smell, sizzle, bleed, and taste like a regular burger (photo: http://bit.ly/2rgs1pq). And amazingly it did. I was dumbfounded how a vegan burger could taste so carnivorous, but it did even if beef purists likely balk at the notion. It came with provolone melted on top with caramelized onions and a smoke & spice sauce to give it even more of a barbecue flavor (photo: http://bit.ly/2szkciw). Hell, I liked it. But it's not a perfect substitute since it has five times the sodium and more saturated fats than a regular burger. It's also about the same number of calories in case you are counting, about 220 calories for the patty itself. Give us credit though since we did add the $3 Mixed Greens as a side rather than the fries and ignored the free chips on our plates (photo: http://bit.ly/2rgljQn). We also went with a $6 order of the Crispy Cauliflower with Sweet Pepper Relish, which was a pretty healthy choice for a bar bite (photo: http://bit.ly/2t0UJvO). The vibe was still the same since it first opened, still an extravaganza of flatscreen TVs in a warehouse-size space with a lot of loud youngsters. Regardless, I'd still come back for the Impossible Burger. It was delish...and so good for me? FOOD - 4 stars...that Impossible Burger seems kinda impossible and a bit overpriced but the meatiness tastes real AMBIANCE - 2.5 stars...same loud, cavernous bar it's been since it opened SERVICE - 3 stars...perhaps tired from his shift, the first server seemed bored with us from the outset but the second was more enthusiastic TOTAL - 4 stars...definitely will come back for the Impossible Burger

I came here to try the impossible burger. Walking in, I really like the ambiance of this sports bar. It's located right under at&t park. You can sit wherever you choose: the bar, the high top tables, at normals tables, or outside. There are TVs everywhere, so it's a good spot to watch sports. The impossible burger was just okay. Paired with sweet potato fries, it came it to $17 before tax and tip. Kind of steep. The consistency was a little closer to real meat than other veggie burgers I've tried, but the flavor was still off. Glad I tried it once though and at least the fries were yummy! I would come back to this place to watch a game and try some of the other foods they have to offer, but I probably wouldn't order the impossible burger again.

This is my drink 15-20 minutes later. Still packed with ice- no liquor. Total ripoff for $15.

I stopped into PH for a drink 2-3 hours before the game to get a margarita. I walked right up to the bar & was immediately served- not a wait- not busy at all. I received the absolute worst drink I've ever had in my life. It was all ice, with a sliver of lime. I could taste no liquor. It wasn't willed to the top except for ice which was packed. I pause $15 for a cup of water & ice. I regret not returning & complaining but I left into the ballpark & unfortunately did not. There was no excuse for this- they weren't busy, they could have made me a decent drink. I am a 59 year old woman who has done my share of drinking. I know when I've been ripped off. Unfortunately I waited too long. I expect that this bartender saw an older woman & tried to take advantage of me on game day. I'm just one person & you don't need my business obviously, but I will never eat or drink in there again & will never take my family in there either. You guys suck!

Everything was 5 stars, Service, food, cleaniness, speed etc but I think it's wayyyyy over priced. Our lunch was over $75! Crazy! Just upgrade from chips to fries will cost like $3 extra smh. We came just for the impossible burger and it was good but a little dry. I wish I added avcado.

We're not in this part of SF often, and neither of us are sports fans by any means, so a mega sports bar might seem like an odd choice, but from the reviews and pics, the spot looked fun. So on our most recent weekend trip to SF to celebrate RB's birthday, we made it a point to visit. This place is HUGE. Located in Chase Center, Splash is a two-story sports bar with TV screens everywhere. I imagine it gets packed out on game days. If you're into sports, this is definitely your happy place. I tried the Splash cocktail, which was very tasty, potent, and not overly sweet. They have a very respectable selection of various beers as well. Food-wise we opted for a couple of their sushi rolls - yes, they have sushi! We tried the Splash Roll and the Chase Heat Roll, both tasty. The food menu is pretty extensive, especially for a sports bar, and includes pizzas, sandwiches, appetizers, sushi rolls, tacos, burgers, and salads. Something for everyone. Service was good, the gentlemen working the bar were nice. The space is clean and well-maintained, and reminds me of bars in Vegas. Fun spot, would return. Cheers!

What originally started as a disappointment became a huge blessing once we found the board room. Feet aching, sweaty, and tired we made our way to this bar. Immediately you could tell it's a local favorite, the ambiance was nice and a great spot to people-watch. There was a cup flipping event which was super fun to spectate, along side the rotating pictures of the bar's beloved pooches . We ordered 2 western burgers, 12 count bone-in wings (half bbq, half Hawaiian), and an appetizer of corn dogs, tater tots, bacon Mac & cheese bites, and mozzarella sticks. Later we also added boneless buffalo wings which were so tangy, well-seasoned, and HOT. The western bacon burgers were so delicious, crispy bacon, crispy onion rings, and some bomb.com bbq sauce. The wings were drowned in sauce (just how we like them) , the bbq was to die for and the Hawaiian had the perfect little kick of spice for our picky eaters. The appetizer platter was also fried to perfection, with the perfect crunch on the tater tots & corn dogs. The Mac & cheese bites & mozzarella sticks were perfectly cheesed, with an amazing cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks. Along with the food, my boyfriend and I ordered some drinks. I got a margarita and he got a Guinness. Both drinks were good, very standard and well served. The couple behind the bar were very funny and super kind to us being dazed after all the walking. On our way back down to SoCal my brother is still raving about the burgers, this is a MUST-STOP the next time we come up to San Francisco!!
