LIARS and BULLIES. Run don't walk from this outfit. My home warranty company sent this company to repair spa heater. They took it apart and then left saying they would be back with parts. A month later I got a letter falsely stating the heater was not covered. After months of arguing AHS sent the same crew back to install an incompatible heater for my system. They lied to me about compatibility, and told me I would need to hire a different company to fix the problem they created. Fact is that no company can fix the problem of incompatibility. Now my keypad that controls everything is useless. When I asked them why they lied to me about the compatibility with my system Chris replied, "I'm not going to argue with you." American Home Shield sent these guys out to repair my salt cell and fix a leak in my valves. 1. The valves still leaked and I have no idea of what Nick from Splash Pool Care did to them. The direction of the water flow somehow changed after he came out. and I had to call another pool company to fix it. 2. My salt cell wasn't working. He told me he knew the problem and would submit a repair claim to AHS. A week went by and I had to call Monica in the office several times to get them to submit a claim. Subsequently, the claim was denied by AHS for extensive pest damage to pool equipment. Neither AHS nor Splash Pool Care would show me pictures or describe the pest damage done. Nick told me I had some cobwebs on my control panel. The Control panel still lit up, and the control panel detected a flow problem. I had another pool company come out and diagnose that the tri-sensor and salt cell needed replacing (not the control panel with a cobweb). Both were replaced and now my system is functioning well. The other pool contractor could find no pest damage. The control panel that Splash Pool Care said had extensive pest damage required no repair and functions properly. AHS says they relied on the diagnosis of Splash Pool Care and denied my claim. Both companies said to go to the other company if they wanted proof of the damage. I believe they work together to deny claims. I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and California Dept. of Insurance regarding this claim. I would not recommend Splash Pool Care. Either they are incompetent or corrupt. read more

After at least the 3rd problem with the company, the last straw broke the camels back! I emailed 2 weeks ago telling them about my filter not working...no answer, emailed again... no answer after 2 weeks. The kid from "Splash" came to do the chemicals 2 days ago, I told him about my issue with no one returning the email from the company. In the mean time I contacted another pool company to come out. Even though he was just here 2 days ago, the new company checked the chemicals and he said it was basically "tap water" in the pool. So they weren't maintaining the chemicals. Then, the new guy checked the pressure in the filter and it was so high that he told me it could have burst and really hurt someone. Thank God I had someone else come. Not Recommended. Splash Pool Care/Barry responded to a service request I put on Home Advisor. I was seeking a seasonal pool service because we were moving out and I wanted to leave the pool in excellent condition for the new owner. Barry responded to the service request, he was the first and after texting and talking to him, a day and time was set for him to do the work. I also shared pictures of the pool, fairly minor work needed to be done, mostly some limited leaves/plant debris on the bottom of the pool, not a lot, we were just busy with the move. Other providers who responded were turned down because the work was now booked with Splash Pool Care. Come the day of the service, no show, no contact by voice, text or email. We reached out to him and he gave an excuse that they were busy and he couldn't do the work until next year due to Covid? Next year??? ... he knew were were moving out in a week. There was almost a week between the original conversation when the work was scheduled and that actual day that the work was to be done, plenty of time for him to give us a heads up that they no longer wanted or were able to do the work. (To be fair, we waited a full 3 weeks before posting this review to give Splash enough time to respond, but they still have not returned our messages) Key facts: Splash Pool Care charged us a total of $607 for 6 months of pool care, which they promised would include necessary chemicals, a weekly brush and 2x yearly filter cleaning (which according to their schedule, they should have performed at least 1x during this time, but they cancelled before following through on this commitment). An example of 1 month of the "Full Pool Service" provided by Splash Pool Care to us (May 2020): * 1st service date: Standard service * 2nd service date: Service skipped, without explanation (pool began to go green) * 3rd service date: 10 min visit--brushing skipped * 4th service date: Full service * 5th service "guaranteed:" Service cancelled without explanation and service skipped We were able to ask 3 questions before Splash Pool Care Roseville suddenly left us: 1) When we asked Splash why they had not responded to our phone calls seeking to pay for extra service in 2 months, Barry claimed that he had sent an email; when we asked him to resend a copy because we could find no record of this, he quickly backtracked and was never able to find a copy to resend. 2) When we asked Splash's visiting personnel when our pool would finally again be usable after they had skipped over it for these weeks, Splash personnel explained that the (green) pool met the Splash standard of swimmable; the 1st photo shows what our pool looked after 6 months of Splash Pool Care Service, when they claimed it swimmable and then abruptly canceled service. 3) When we asked Splash's visiting personnel if our filters might need to be cleaned to help clear the pool, as it had been 6 mos, they assured that No, filter cleaning was not necessary and would not help; the 2nd photo shows what our filters looked like when we opened them the day after Splash Pool Care cancelled after claiming that they did not need to be cleaned. Splash Roseville canceled on us as we entered Memorial Day weekend and a week of 100 degree weather, just 6 days before our son's HS Graduation celebration, which we were planning to celebrate by inviting his grandparents to our pool (as the only medically recommended safe option at the time); Splash had already been informed of our plans, and had "guaranteed" us that they would provide us with a swimmable pool for this special life event. As a result of Splash Roseville's last-minute cancellation, we found ourselves spending our 19th wedding anniversary cleaning our pool filters, in an effort to salvage our pool from the mess that Splash left before our son's HS Grad celebration and grandparent outdoor visit. In total, we spent $300 plus 20 hours of labor to clean up after Splash Pool Care. Splash Pool Care Roseville left us feeling shocked, used, lied to, and disposed of. It seemed as if they had used us when it was convenient for them, and disposed of us without reason when they got too busy. While they seemed friendly at first, once they had our money, they did not show any integrity about following through on their "guarantees," or even returning messages, nor any care when they trashed our week of once-in-a-lifetime events. And they still have not returned our messages to offer any explanation. It really shocked us to learn that a person existed like Barry, who despite offering so many assurances, did not seem to value at all keeping his word to us. Splash may seem like a value deal, but we ended up spending 50% more money and double the labor just to undo the mess that they left in our pool. Barry did communicate with me until he was paid for the service. I reluctantly let them drain my pool and when I put the water back into my pool my system was not working correctly. The water turned green again and I called Barry twice and he did not return my call. The third time I called him I left him a message to not let his guy come to my home until he returns my call which he never did. I called Leslie's Pool and when the guy came out and check my system there was a connection that was found loose and when the tech tightened it the filtration system started working. His guy did attempt to wash my filters but Barry should have told me I needed new filters. A couple weeks later my pump stopped working. Am I wrong for thinking my system was sabotaged and that is why Barry didn't return my call. After I purchased a new pump There was a leak in the filter tank so now I have to buy a new tank.
