So happy I found Daniel on Yelp! I got a response by sending a message through yelp almost immediately, and he was able to come out the next day. He also gave me a specific time instead of a 4 hour window like most technicians. My pool was murky and green and I suspected my filter was not working because when I backwashed, the water was clear and not green. When he came out he explained it was probably the sand in the filter, which made sense since I have owned this house for 6 years and have never changed the sand and have no idea the last time. He talked to me about doing a complete drain and clean which I already knew was needed, since last year my my CY was really high and I was just being lazy about draining it. Basically my pool water and balance were getting harder to maintain. He drained my pool, and even heeded my concerns about keeping my yard secure for my pups while the hose trailed to the sewer line in the front overnight and after I got home from work. He acid and chlorine washed, refilled, and balanced all the chemicals. He was very responsive via text when I had any questions or concerns with the process. And he always let me know when he was getting to my house, and the next steps once he left. Wow! Communication is sooooo key!! He was very clear about pricing and I found it to be really reasonable. I don't have the equipment, energy, or time to drain and clean my pool myself, so to have my pool sparkling again in a matter of days was completely worth the cost! If I did it myself, I would have had to rent equipment, and it would have probably taken me 2 weekends to get it done, plus a ton of manual labor. On top of all that, he communicated with me everyday with updates since I was at work while he was working on my pool, and did everything he said he would, plus a few extra little adjustments to random equipment I couldn't figure out on my own. So, unfortunately things went downhill a little bit. I think he is trying-- He's a good communicator overall, he is easy to get ahold of and generally very knowledgable even when you can tell you are catching him at a bad time. He's definitely not new to the trade, but I as a customer since 2017, I did feel a decline in his customer service in about the last year. He had some personal stuff going on and I was super patient despite having a clogged pool pump sit for nearly 2 weeks because he couldn't make it out sooner, I was loyal to his service and was understanding---stuff happens, I get it. Then he fixed a pool light that went dead again after 3 weeks. He started sending me quotes for an 800 dollar light replacement before even re-looking at light. He assumed it was moisture (without investigating), but turned out the breaker was flipped! Was kinda disappointed that his process was so abrupt when most ppl at least warrantee their work for 30 days and would have at least looked it over before jumping to a conclusion. He started skipping a week here and there without warning despite my having pre-paid for a set number for weekly/monthly service, depending. Recently, I cautiously asked if I was signed up for the less frequent weekly plan by some accident, just to put out a feeler and subtlety call him out... he got defensive and said he would be discontinuing my service. Honestly, thats fine, I was considering moving on anyway, but he gave no notice which is hardly ethical. Just seemed like an unreasonable response for something so small and I would have appreciated at least 2 weeks to find somebody new after years of being a customer. I ask a lot of questions, and maybe I just annoyed him. If you ask questions a lot of questions, especially before a big purchase, you might annoy him too. I think he is looking for easy sales and no effort clients these days. I get it tho, everybody likes smooth sailing, and if you have a lot of clients, maybe you dont need the "difficult" ones?? Like I said, I think he is a good pool guy, just general customer service could improve to get back to what I know he is capable of when I first hired him. I wish him the best of luck! read more

Let me start by saying that Daniel is extremely kind, and my pool is unusually large. I think he got in over his head. Between yard remodeling and a dirty filter, my pool was not a 20-minute weekly service call during much of the 8 weeks he worked on our pool. What I found really disappointing was that instead of him calling or ringing at my door to say he had concerns and needed to raise my monthly rate, he simply sent an email saying he could no longer service my pool. It left me in a lurch. Luckily my previous pool person, who is a little more expensive but has more experience, was able to turn the pool around in 3 days and get everything running properly. read more

Daniel is fantastic and deserving of all the 5 star reviews. He's a genuinely nice person and it feels good supporting a hard working, honest technician like him. We are first time pool owners and had lots of questions and concerns. Daniel came out next day and did a free walkthrough of everything - how our pool was refinished, size, pump, filter, maintenance. He gave me a rundown of what I'd need to buy and look out for. He also had concerns about the sand filter being too small for the pool and piping not being aligned well. Sure enough, when we put in a motorized pool cleaner, I saw there was something wrong. I wasn't getting that much suction and I noticed dirt being discharged back into the pool. I gave Daniel a call and we talked for 10 minutes on the phone to diagnose (good to have someone who remembers your pool personally). He suggested replacing the filter and sent me quotes for 3 different types of filters. We decided to put in a good cartridge filter. Daniel came out early and took his time making sure everything was done properly. He touched up the existing piping, even painting the casing so everything looked nice. He even rebalanced the pool too at no added charge. We talked through suppliers for everything I'd need going forward. He even noticed the outdoor outlet was getting rusty and needed a plastic casing. Overall, he's a great guy. His labor cost was very reasonable, he goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done thoroughly and properly, and he's super informative.
