This place sucks donkey balls. None of the self service equipment is maintained, it works half the time. The auto wash doesn't do what it's supposed to, this is the second time I've come thru and as soon as my car is dry I can see dirt everywhere that should have been washed but was never touched. I shouldn't go thru a car wash and still be able to see the wiper pattern on my windshield. read more

I have been coming here for years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Their exterior wash process is extremely fast, efficient and the car looks brand new. The Super Interior wash is a great deal. It includes the carpets, dashboards, and they will powerwash the mats for a $1.00 each more. My car was in atrocious shape... embarrassing really, but I love my dog and occasionally we do go to the dog park on a rainy or snowy day and he tracks mud in my CRV. He also sheds so pretty gross inside. Splash did an amazing job working on detailing my interior and exterior. It truly looked like a brand new car and even has that great new car smell. I am an unlimited wash customer of the Works package and I frequent the Cromwell CT location. As the price has gone up the quality of service has gone down. Way down. You don't know what you're going to get when you go on any given day. They may spray your car on the driver side and be done or they may feel like going to the passenger side and give you a half of spray. I've been behind a vehicle where they spray the whole car down, then I pull up and get half of that. Sometimes they have tire shine, other times they do not. I've pulled around and complained a few times. Not impressed anymore. I'm shopping around for other car washes in the area. read more

I took my three year old SUV to Splash for an interior 5 star detail. Let me start by saying that this was my first detailing of my car since I got it. I also have multiple children and pets - so needless to say it was in dire need of one. I had lots of things stuck to the mats and rugs, debris in the seat rails, stains - it wasn't pretty. I made the appointment online and when I showed up, a car was still getting worked on in front of me. The manager, Jack, was very nice and I was told that they offered complimentary rides if needed. The service took about 4 hours from the time I dropped my car off to when I picked it up. They did an AMAZING job. I didn't have many expectations as to what to expect because my car was so bad off - but they rejuvenated my car and it looks brand new. There isn't one speck of dirt or grime anywhere inside! All the stickiness is gone. My car has that new car smell again. They even washed the outside. I checked for any faded colors or anything that would have suggested over cleaning and didn't see any of that. Pick up was super easy and every one was very nice and professional. They really looked like they took a lot of pride in their work. The cost was $150 plus tax and it was well worth every penny! I will definitely use them again in the future! read more

The machine caught my spoiler and ripped my trunk back warping the hinges to the point it can no longer close; Splash Car Wash is getting 1 out of 5 stars from me because 0 isn't an option. They caused $500 worth of damages to my car are are refusing to pay for it. What is most upsetting is I really enjoyed going there, especially because my son liked the giant Santa out front and would ask to go almost every day after school. I had a subscription for several months and visited the Cromwell location on a regular basis. Last week I loaded items into my trunk, everything was dry and in working order, and I went through the car wash. Upon exiting, I found my trunk was flooded and all my items were soaked. I spoke to the manager who "checked the footage" and then gaslit me for almost an hour and a half in front of my 3 year old claiming my trunk was already ripped open when I got there. He came up with a bunch of wild theories claiming someone must've tried to steal my stock spoiler overnight and ripped it back. After requesting that I see the footage for myself, he finally took me to the office and I was able to point out to him on the video how my trunk was closed and undamaged upon entering the carwash and was damaged upon exiting. He then took down my information, wrong I should add, and said Jack O'Dell, the GM, would contact me. I asked him to have Jack contact me ASAP as it was supposed to rain the next day and my trunk could get flooded again. I also asked for a copy of the footage and was denied. Instead they allowed me to take a picture on my phone and promised that since their machine damaged it I would be taken care of. I didn't hear anything from Jack until 4 days later after leaving several voicemails and sending an email. I brought my car back to the location only for the Jack to make up another story and gaslight me further. Now he's stating that while he can see when and where the machine ripped my trunk back, it's somehow my fault because he's claiming that he and the regional manager can see my car parts are "loose" going into the car wash. Mind you, my car has never been in any collisions. I took him back out to the car and showed him that all the bolts are still secure even after the damage. I requested to be shown where on the video they can see loose car parts and they are again gaslighting me citing "movement" on the video that doesn't exist. My trunk only moved after the machine ripped it back! I again asked to be provided a copy of the video and was again denied; if you have nothing to hide give me the video so I can send it to my lawyer, Jack. I was told I would be contacted by the regional manager to discuss this further who is apparently too busy to handle the mismanagement going on. It's been over a week since this happened and I'm still waiting for a resolution. As mentioned above, the estimated cost of repair is $500; going here isn't worth it at all and I would advise anyone who cares about their vehicle to stay away! read more

I gave them membership fees for 2 years and then their wash damaged my car. I had to take them to court and of course won but cannot get them to pay for the court ordered judgement amount.. Funny they received 2 million plus in Covid-19 money but can't pay a court ordered settlement. Google it for yourself. Stay far away. Things happen but they should make good on them when they do but they didn't. Don't be their next victim. They will steal your money! I had my car detailed and they stole money from an envelope I had left in my car. They moved the envelope and left the change after they took all the 50s and 20s. I contacted customer service and after weeks of "investigation" they did nothing. I want to mention that I was a monthly membership subscriber and had been going there for years. Love this car wash. Drive through wash and wax.Easy! Exchange your microfiber drying towel upon the entrance into the car wash and you have a clean dry towel every time. It doesn't leave streaks and makes it fast and efficient to dry your vehicle. The vacuum system is what I love the most. There is one on each side of your vehicle and the suction is amazing. I drive a large vehicle and I can have the entire vehicle vacuumed spotless in just a few minutes! Also there are air hoses conveniently located to adjust the air in your tires! One stop in and out in less than 20 minutes usually! Highly recommend this car wash! I get many compliments on how clean and shiny my vehicle always looks! read more

The self service car wash is an absolute joke....not even a good bang for your buck....half of the buttons will not work when selecting high pressure wash/foaming brush/high pressure soap....AND HAVE YOI SEEN THE BRISTLES ON THE FOAMING BRUSH?? It looks like it's never EVER been changed out.....and there is literally no foam....only water with a smidge or soap coming out of it.....ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY. Also the self serve foam brush scratched the sh*t out of my girlfriends Jeep Wrangler. NOT HAPPY DONT WASTE YOUR TIME The only reason I came to this one was because the NEW car wash in 372 was closed...... 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Will not come back. read more

The outside looked great but I paid an additional al $10 for the interior. Aside from being vacuumed well I don't even think the inside was wiped down. The dash still has dust, along with the center console. I had to ask for a rag to wipe down the inside door panel because there was something on it so clearly they didn't do it. They also didn't even vacuum out the trunk. Have them do the exterior but save your money on the interior and don't yourself. read more

My car looks better than it did off the show room floor. I have had this minivan for over 4yrs with 3 boys ranging from a infant to teenagers with all the sports that go along with them. I cannot believe not only did they make the carpets shine but finally got rid of the sports odors that constantly made the car smell musty. Thank God I brought it to splash car wash detail team. People expecting miracles from a car wash... Look at the back of your last Stop & Shop receipt. There's coupons for a $5.99 wash. With tax, it's $6.37 for a basic wash. Also plenty of publications and websites that feature coupons as well. No reason to show up without one. So, the car is clean, dried by hand once you get out, and there are free unlimited vacuums. If you're like me and your truck has mud in the wheel wells, there's a few self-service bays with a pressure washer, which I believe are credit only. But when you can sit there and vacuum to your heart's content after your car is cleaned and dried by hand? Yeah, that's a good car wash. I washed and vacuumed both my vehicles for just under $20 today, including a little pressure washer work because of my muddy truck. If you can find a way to complain about that, you probably voted for Trump. read more

This car wash is an area institution, I have been visiting it for the past 8 years. Prices have dropped after the change in ownership, but the high level of quality remains. This location is really hard to miss, due to the plethora of fiberglass statues that litter the property. They have dinosaurs, to Marilyn Monroe to a chesty Pirate to name a few. The blues brothers are rocking out on the front lawn too.... There is both a traditional hands-free (automatic track) car wash as well as drive-in booths where the car owner does the work. We usually use the traditional automatic wash because it does a phenomonal job. There are also stations to vacuum the interior of your car yourself and a small machine that will beat out your floor mats. Prices are reasonable but you are going to go through a lot of quarters. These stations are a must after the winter months, its the best way to get sand out of the car interior. The vacuums do a decent job on getting out pet hair too. They offer detailing and many other services, but I have never used them so cannot comment. Please swing in and give this business a try! read more

Sadly, this place changed hands about a year-and-a-half ago and it has gone downhill ever since. Starting with the property, the previous owners kept the grounds almost spotless. The new owners have let everything, the grounds, the landscaping, fall into terrible disrepair. And if the nature of your business is such that you are seeking to cater to people who take pride in their property, I think the new owners are clearly not making a good impression. But -- it is of course the service that they provide that matters most and that is where things have really gone to pot. Shortly after the new owners took over I went in for a detailing and the kid locked himself out of my car. I had to call my wife who came with our second key to unlock the vehicle. No words of apology to me or my wife for that inconvenience; just a sheepish shrug of the shoulders. Then, when the job was completed I discovered as I was leaving the property that my mats were missing. So I drove back and asked for them. The kid doing the work removed them from the wall where they had been cleaned and put them in my car. Again, no apology. Upon my second visit, maybe three months ago, I made a point of asking the young man to whom I gave the car to please make sure the ashtray in the center console is emptied of trash and cleaned properly. He gave me a look as if to say "of course; the car is being detailed for Heaven's sake." But, when the car was returned to me that ashtray was closed and as dirty as it was when I gave it to them. I again had to drive back to the lot, drive around back, and find someone to clean it out. The employee I spoke to at that time just said "The other guy didn't tell me to clean that." Good grief. Finally, there was today's experience. I paid $32 for a car wash with wheel treatment and express carpet cleaning. When I came out of the wash the guy who normally hand dries the cars did not do so, apparently because my car was being sent around to the detail area. (Huh?) But that's where it sat for at least ten minutes, wet, with spots forming on it while one young man worked feverishly on another car and three other employees stood together gabbing with one another. And the car-drying guy, with towels in his hands, had nothing to do. Eventually, when it became apparent to me that I would be late to a meeting in Hartford because it always takes them 20 minutes to do their detail work and the one productive employee hadn't even started on my car, I walked over to my car and got in and left. With my car still dripping with water. A few minutes later I called the business from the road to say that while the decision to leave before the detailing that I paid for was performed was clearly my own, the least I should have gotten for my $32 was a dried car. But before I could even get that far, the young woman who answered the phone ripped in to me for "not even letting her guys do their job." Really -- attitude? This business, under these new owners, is headed down a bad road. And given the hree experiences I've had with them in the last year or so, I say good riddance. read more
