This past month Russell Speeders increased my monthly fee for the unlimited car washes from $29 per month to $49 per month without even notifying me. This increase showed up on my checking account statement. No warning, no phone call, no email, no mail, they just raise the rate because they thought they could. I was stunned with this poor business practice that Russell Speeders does apparently to almost every customer This business should be investigated by the State of Connecticut consumer protection immediately for their deceptive business practices. I feel bad for the employees of this establishment because they actually are very nice. Management is terrible. Upper management is possibly the worst. $29 a month to $49 a month with no warning. Never again Russell Speeders never again. I have canceled my monthly membership. There are many car wash services in the area that offer monthly rates, and I'll be checking them out shortly. I will also be disputing these charges with the bank.

I purchased a 2019 Honda CR-V from this dealership in August 2025, 52,000 miles and within 9 days…read moreof possession the vehicle had a major engine failure. What should have been an exciting purchase quickly turned into months of stress, uncertainty, and constantly having to chase answers. I was told that the vehicle had to be brought back to this dealership because the warranty would not cover the repair within the first 30 days of purchase. However, the dealership then kept the vehicle beyond that timeframe and ultimately processed the repair through the warranty anyway. As a result, my warranty coverage was used to repair a vehicle that, in my opinion, should not have been sold in that condition to begin with. Very sneaky! At one point, I was even made to feel like I was somehow at fault for driving the vehicle--when in reality, I purchased a car to use it, not to worry about whether normal use would cause it to fail. That moment really stuck with me. I was told they see these issues happen everyday to cars that this is normal. I was told the issues were due to the age and mileage for the vehicle. Zero accountability. After finally getting the vehicle back, the same issue happened again not long after. I completely lost confidence in both the vehicle and the dealership's ability to properly fix the problem. I was advised NOT to drive the vehicle off the lot as I would do more damage and warranty wouldn't continue to cover the repairs but they had no concerns on damage or safety having us drive 1.5 hours there twice for repairs. What made this experience worse was the way it was handled at a management level. My interactions with the general manager came across as dismissive and I was appalled by the statements made as they were very unprofessional. Honestly an embarrassment for their organization. I understand that cars can have issues--but how a dealership handles those issues matters just as much. In this case, the lack of transparency, poor communication, and how the warranty situation was handled made an already difficult situation much worse. If you find yourself in a similar situation, know that you do have options. You can file a complaint with the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles, which oversees dealer practices and consumer protections. It's called the K-35 Dealer Complaint Form. I'm sharing this so others go in informed. Ask questions, document everything, and make sure you understand exactly how problems will be handled after the sale. Don't count on transparency from this dealership. They won't tell you the vehicle being sold just had a major engine repair 2 days before sale. The same engine repair that had to be fixed twice, among other parts that were affected in the process.

What a horrible experience so please enjoy the read. They have attempted to remove my reviews so…read morethey can pretend they are a great dealership and stand behind the sale and customer satisfaction. Well here are some screen shots where you can see that they knowingly sold a car with damage, lied about it, didn't disclose it was a theft recovery, mechanical issues as you can see from the lights on the dash, vehicle arrived with over 100 extra miles on it from when I purchased it to transport picking it up from them and more! My 2024 Nissan GTR was purchased through Hoffman Nissan with Gus as my point of contact. Rest assured he will take great care of you lol "hiding the damage and playing the I didn't know card" very well. Vehicle arrived with damage in all locations listed on the transport pick up sheet before it even arrived to me with 100 additional miles on it at pick up. Damaged components, alignment off, rims all had damage , mismatched tires (advised by Nissan not recommended as it can cause transmission issues) what do you know .... needs a transmission!!! (diagnosed by a local Nissan dealer!!) Said it was an issue prior to me owning the vehicle as diagnostic reports show it! They are liars and thieves and I have all the proof I need to take action. I have tried to contact Gus Loukus who has some how disappeared and does not answer phone calls, text or emails anymore after he made his money on the sale and Micheal Lapointe is no better! They both know what they did and how they lied and hid the damage and sold it to someone out of state to make the deal happen. Not only that they never reported by issues since August/ September of last year to the warranty claims department and let their guaranteed satisfaction warranty expire and not make a claim. A real clown show you have at this dealership and unfortunately with multiple attempts to have them stand up and resolve the problem they choose to run and hide instead of standing behind the sale and their brand. It is sad that a consumer has to get legal involved to have their vehicle repaired to the condition they were told it was in. I have attached screen shots showing that management wants to know what I want ......and my simple answer was the items not disclosed as damaged or having issues repaired or replaced. To then be ghosted and just ignored. It's sad you have to threaten with legal or social media exposure for a company to do the right thing anymore! Guess matters have to be taken to another level and I will make sure not only that this gets resolved but that no other consumer has to suffer and buy hidden garbage from your dealership! If you decide you would like to step up Hoffman and replace the parts on the vehicle you sold me with hidden damage you know where to find me. BTW it needs a transmission as well. If legal takes this claim over your bill goes up quite a bit and I won't go away. So why don't you make the right decision and take care of your customer. Step up and do the right thing. I will make it my life's mission to make sure I keep all social media options informed of this as well as potential customers thinking twice about spending a dollar with you.

I picked up the truck the following weekend, I live in NJ, so I had to take a bus out there to do so. I questioned more than once why my deposit wasn't documented or credited and was basically blown off. After the dust had settled (settled family affairs), I realized that Patrick Pantalone and David Delorenzo had added an additional $3,000 to the sale price without ever having documenting or explaining it in ANY of the paperwork at all. It's my fault for trusting people to not be predatory scumbags and this was an expensive lesson. Stay FAR, FAR away from the slime that works at this dealership, I'd imagine that this is common practice across the board at all Hoffman dealerships or they wouldn't be so bold and unapologetic in their dealings with customers.**the final sale price ended up being over $83,000, tax, title and registration amounted to just shy of $6,000. An amazing deal kept popping up for a 2017 Forester, very nicely equipped, fairly priced and wicked low mileage at this dealership. I finally bit the bullet and notified them, via email, that I was coming in to test drive this one. Minutes after I dropped my email, Kathleen called me from the front office. I told her I'd be by within the hour. My wife and I showed up and met a wonderful sales person, Courtney. We instantly clicked and while driving the car, I said "this is the one I'm buying". This was around 10am. My very old car wasn't worth much (I knew this going in) and we got $500 for my car's trade in. Courtney said if we wanted this car, she could make it happen....today. So we left a deposit on our credit card (for the points of course) and headed to our bank to get a cashiers check for the rest of what we wanted to put down. Courtney called at 2:30 asking if 3pm would work for a pick up. Yes, it works. So 6 hours after driving this car, it was mine. She was FABULOUS, no pressure and honestly, felt like a friend when we left. (we hugged--who hugs their car salesperson?)- I guess I do, when it's someone as comfy and sweet as Courtney.

My smiles can only last so long. How do we go from a $6,000 service quote to $600 just overnight? We had to inform the service dept. of the recall. Once service was performed now with the new diagnosis the car just didn't run right. Took the car back, this time we were told it's a $2,500 repair, so again we told them about a warranty, and again suddenly we no longer needed this service. We received a new call and we were given a new and different diagnosis for something minor for $200. My question is what if I agreed to the first quote, would they pocket the $?. My other car was there twice for 2 weeks, still didn't sound right, so we took it back, at which point they kept it for a MONTH. Emissions I requested was never done in the 3 visits, the balancing and alignment I paid for was never done, because as soon as I got on a highway my steering wheel vibrated at 60mph. I took it to Town Fair and finally got it corrected. There were always excuses and BS which I have no time for. Time to move on.
