Come on Granby Auto Wash... step it up!…read more While the monthly fees are fairly reasonable for the unlimited car washes, today, I had a weird experience As I'm getting ready to go through the car wash with the Acura, I asked the attendant if the self-serve vacuums were included for members of the unlimited monthly car wash fee Apparently, he didn't understand the question. Apparently, he didn't understand the assignment. What he answered was" it's $20 extra a month for the vacuum" I thought that was rather a weird response, and an absurd cost. So after the car wash was completed, I pulled a U-turn and went to check out the self-serve vacuums. The fee for using the vacuums was one dollar for a timed amount. It wasn't $20, it wasn't $20 extra per month, it was a dollar per use As much as I'm not happy with Russell Speeders Car Wash, there are many goodies they offer, including free self serve vacuum usage for a few dollars more per month and a much better experience with the attendants and goodies included. So with this said, I'm gonna go back early next week and ask one more time... What is the cost for self service vacuums, and I hope I get the correct response If you're the owner of this car wash and reading this, there are many other car wash choices that include free vacuums for its monthly members. Just saying...

This past month Russell Speeders increased my monthly fee for the unlimited car washes from $29 per month to $49 per month without even notifying me. This increase showed up on my checking account statement. No warning, no phone call, no email, no mail, they just raise the rate because they thought they could. I was stunned with this poor business practice that Russell Speeders does apparently to almost every customer This business should be investigated by the State of Connecticut consumer protection immediately for their deceptive business practices. I feel bad for the employees of this establishment because they actually are very nice. Management is terrible. Upper management is possibly the worst. $29 a month to $49 a month with no warning. Never again Russell Speeders never again. I have canceled my monthly membership. There are many car wash services in the area that offer monthly rates, and I'll be checking them out shortly. I will also be disputing these charges with the bank.

I use to have a monthly membership until the cost kept increasing. In Avon there is another car wash (still a local business) I will start going to. Typically, I don't review gas stations but this one is pretty new, clean, and large. There's an electric vehicle charging station, diesel, gasoline, and a Dunkin attached. When we went, the drive through was not ready yet but it looks like there will be one. There are restrooms and plenty of snacks and drinks to choose from. They also serve coffee, breakfast, grinders, and ice cream.

They've just been open for two weeks and offered a rock-bottom gas price of just $2.89 a gallon. Oh, and by the way, they have an incredibly sweet number of 16 gas pumps. It was one of my cheapest fill ups in quite a while. After I gassed up, I went inside to check out the store and buy a lottery ticket. Well, they've been open for such a short time they're not quite ready to start pumping out those tickets yet. Their spacious convenience store was neat as a pin and stocked to overflowing, and I saw a Dunkin' counter way off to the left. The young lady at the convenience store register was personable and very friendly when I chatted with her about the place. Noble's website says they are "a Connecticut-based business bringing high-end automobile re-fueling centers to New England". There's a few of them around Hartford and spread across the state. Some have carwashes and EV charging stations, but I think it's too early to see what the Day Hill location will end up with. I saw that Noble is also building a Truck Service and Diesel center pretty much next door at 1966 Day Hill Road. They are a very welcome addition to Day Hill Road and all of its office buildings and commuters.
