Then, I noticed what looked like peeling on the hood and front of the car. The Toyota-applied clear coat was coming off , My car was starting to look so bad. A few people gave me names of local auto body shops No one wanted to touch my car because I had not been in an auto accident!! They explained their reasons to me, which of course, were all about money and insurance claims. I was, of course, going to pay for any work but, shame on me, I did not have an accident. Just wanted to fix to the clear coat and have effected areas of my car re-painted. Finally, I was given the name Brothers auto body in Cromwell. Problem solved! My car was beautifully repainted and new clear coat applied. It looks spectacular! No hesitation to give me a reasonable quote, no rejection because I did not have an accident. Just kind, professional treatment from all at Brothers. Special thanks to Sarah, Jacob and Brian for making this whole process run so smoothly. My Corolla carries with it some very special memories from the past. I will always do what I can to keep it running and looking as good as I can.

After having the truck for 2.5 weeks we picked it up after being told "the truck is safe, I would let my kids drive it". No sooner did we drive TWO MINUTES down the road the truck broke down. This was right after my son paid $1700 to have fixed. Called the shop and Ruben didn't care anymore he got his money. The other owner came and pulled the truck back to the shop. Long story short after two more times we took the truck . Halfway home the engine light was back on and the truck was leaking oil and tranny fluid. Brought it to the shop and they couldn't believe the work. Wrong radiator was used so they put connectors. They were leaking. The brake line was wrong and the list goes on. THE BIGGES THING.... THE WELDING WAS COMPLETELY UNSAFE. IF MY SON HIT 3 LARGE BUMPS THE TRUCK WOULD HAVE FALLEN APART! we kept them posted and they asked for a receipt. No problem. It was provided and that was it....they have ignored us. We posted a Google review and they deleted it. They are awful! We are now going to take them to smalls claims court and are reporting them to DMV AND the department of consu.er protection. DONT DO BUSINESS. HERE.

08 Trailblazer 3LT Belltech lowering kit…read more So frustrated with different alignments locations. Some say "I'm not touch that" some say "oh it's fine with caster and camber are off". Caster are off way backward and get hard and feel the stress when turn on left or right not reach the limit yet. Wallingford Chevrolet Service desk kept say it fine I said no it not fine! Please fix it. They gave me Silas Deane Auto phone number. I called and spoke with Shaun the situation. He said of course come over and I'll take care of it for you. So I came and hand the key to Shaun, wait for 2 hours because Trailblazer front alignment really pain in @$$. While I'm waiting I saw my trailblazer came parked outside I went out to look at caster and camber. Looks good to me so I went back inside and Rob told me all ready and gave me the alignment result. I'm so so pleased with the result are so perfect! Finally I'm satisfied and leave park lot in big smile! I can't thank you enough Shaun and Rob for your excellent service and took very well care of my Trailblazer! Mostly definitely come again for alignment in future! Again thank you Silas Deane Auto!

One of my great dreams has been to have a local, totally reliable service and repair station that I KNOW is giving me the very best service at a reasonable price. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO DO THAT! I found out because my wife used their services, on the recommendation of one of their customers. Yesterday I went in with an issue. They put my car up on the lift and showed me in detail what the problem was. My car is wonderful and runs beautifully but has some mileage on it. It looked like they may have to replace some major parts of the underbody - and my brain was calculating what the high cost might be. They called me back in the afternoon - and they were able to do some very creative, solid effective "workarounds" which prevented me having to pay for those parts. the bill was approximately 1/4 of what I was thinking. I brought my sons car in for a flat and also a low tire along with a battery that recently went…read moredead and was jumped. I easily made a quick appointment with Sean who was very pleasant. He got me in quickly with a time that was conducive with my sons schedule. Sean checked me in and took a detailed description of the issues (he was so helpful and seemed genuinely interested in helping me). He explained the actions they would take to not only resolve the issue but figure out what could have caused the battery depletion as it was only 2 years old and also the possibility of tire repair as opposed to replacement. I left my car and he called to inform that tire puncture was in a location that couldn't be repaired and the battery tested at end of life whereby both requiring replacement, I approved the work and he said he would call when ready. A few hours later I received a call stating delay on 1 tire of 2 being purchased but he wanted to communicate the delay. When I picked up the car, He thoroughly explained that the diagnostic testing resulted in no issues and indicated the low tire didn't appear to have a puncture but filled, sealed and replaced the valve; he said to bring back if subsequent issues, he also indicated the tires were rotated to allow new tires in front, he also explained the warranty on tires and battery. Overall cost about $400 but I feel confident in what was done and the cost of it; oh he gladly accepted the coupon on new tires. When I was there the 2 mechanics were very nice and both checked to make sure I was being helped and that someone communicated the status. Overall, extremely pleased with the customer service at this location. I felt confident that I wasn't taken advantage of and the cost was reasonable for service provided. They've even performed tire pressure checks and help led with windshield wiper installation at no charge on two other drop by instances, giving the feeling of your friendly neighborhood helpful mechanic. I've always had positive experiences with this location and will continue to do business with them.
