After calling many places to see if I can get someone to put on my brakes and rotors, Lamore was the place that was nice and professional about it. It appears to be a place that is personable and provides great service. They provided amazing service at a great value. I would definitely return and would recommend others to Lamore's. read more

Went in for a transmission service and other things were brought to my attention that needed to be done soon to like a water pump and a new radiator and thermostat and a flush and a motor mount and a serpentine belt to, boy I would say I had no regrets having those things done to my truck she feels great, value of course most be worth it to no compromise over safety and family being safe to... Thank you Lamorse's for being honest with my service... read more

Always work with lamores, really honest people quick and efficient! Very professional! Highly recommend them!

Visiting from out of town for the day and noticed something dragging under my car. My family recommended Lamore's so I stopped by and they fixed it within 15 minutes. Great service, friendly staff. read more

I was caught in a pinch after a minor accident. They helped me get back on the road so I could drive to my home body shop. The guy who helped me was very professional and kind. I would recommend this spot to anyone who wants to be treated with respect and courtesy even if you just walked off the street. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Yesterday I got a flat tire while near my apartment in downtown Hartford. I parked my car in my underground garage while I waited for Lamore's service to come out and help change my tire. Before they came out I told them that I will have to be towed because my spare tire was flat too. Once the tow truck arrived at my apartment he noticed that my car was in the underground garage and that's when everything went down hill. The clearance of my underground garage is 12 1/2 feet. After 10 minutes of convincing him that his truck would fit. He pulled his truck into my underground garage. The truck fit into my garage with no problems. After he got into the garage the driver of the tow truck started giving me thousands of excuses about how his truck still wouldn't fit (after he got it in) and his tools couldn't leave his truck it was clear at this point It felt like I was trying to convince a toddler to eat there vegetables. Half way through our conversation about how we (I) was going to get the car out of my parking spot and down a ramp. He didn't like this idea and told me to drive it out of my garage and he would meet me down the street. I said I'll damage my rim since my tires aren't full of air. This is when He told me "I don't want to change your fucking tire this is bullshit. I don't want to do this" then got back into truck and just left completely. WITHOUT HELPING ME. ***I called another towing place and they got into my garage without any problems and got my car out without making me move it*** read more

Great and fast service when our Mazda 3 was broken down on the highway. A shout out to Miguel! These guys are the best!

my alternator went out on a Sunday night. I called Lamores Monday morning and asked if they could replace my alternator that day. every other place I called gave me an estimated time of three to four days. Lamores not only towed my car to the shop for only $30.00 they replaced my alternator within one day. The vehicle is a 2007 Honda fit. small engine space and difficult to replace. $400.00 and some change. Well worth it because I know what it takes to replace the alternator. Or I would have done it myself. Today I went there again for four new tires. cheaper than other places, and I'm saying cheaper than brand name tire shops. I won't mention the names. So completely impressed with these guys. I've worked in the automotive industry for over twenty years. These guys truly impressed me. Go to Lamores gulf if you want to be respected, not taken advantage of in a tight spot. these guys are great! my new go to place for everything automotive related. read more

This was amazing service by the nicest people. The Labor Day holiday our truck broke down and Mark handled a very stressful situation with professional calm and kindness. We can't believe our luck to get such service and be able to get home that evening with the truck. Thanks so much. read more

Lamore's Gulf Station - Auto Repair Near Me - Wethersfield, Connecticut

After hitting a pothole on I-91 south in CT I was lucky enough to be directed to Lamore's Gulf by my navigation system. They took me in right away, even though by the looks of all the cars in the lot, they were very busy. The mechanic ordered a tire and had me back on the road within an hour. The price was fair and the service outstanding. Nancy read more

Jay was great! Second time he's towed me In three years. He treated my Tesla with kid gloves and went beyond great service. It's refreshing to see employees that love what they do. Thanks Again! read more

Five Stars is not Enough - Six Star Rating! I see that they have a number of 5 star ratings. Let me add mine. One of my great dreams has been to have a local, totally reliable service and repair station that I KNOW is giving me the very best service at a reasonable price. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO DO THAT! I found out because my wife used their services, on the recommendation of one of their customers. Yesterday I went in with an issue. They put my car up on the lift and showed me in detail what the problem was. My car is wonderful and runs beautifully but has some mileage on it. It looked like they may have to replace some major parts of the underbody - and my brain was calculating what the high cost might be. They called me back in the afternoon - and they were able to do some very creative, solid effective "workarounds" which prevented me having to pay for those parts. the bill was approximately 1/4 of what I was thinking. No amount of praise is too high for these folks. GREAT JOB! read more

I don't know what I'd do without these guys! Now that my beloved Beetle is pushing 20 years old (!!!) there's always some issue that needs to be addressed, and I know she's in good hands at Lamore's! In addition to taking such good care of my car, they've really gone out of their way for me, as well. Jim and Mike have driven me around the corner to work more times than I can count, and they recently saved the day by providing me with a loner car while my bug was an overnight "patient." I wouldn't go to anyone else and I'd recommend them to anyone! :) read more

Fast, great service after we had been let down by AAA in such a ridiculous way. Called them directly to get towed, and they had us off the highway in no time. We can't thank you enough. In these times of long wait times on the phone to get through to real people... when you can call a local business and someone picks up the phone and actually wants to be helpful.... what a breath of fresh air. Thank you! You guys are the best. read more

I had these guys come to tow my car through Geico and he took care of the immediate problem and so I did not need my car towed. I am sorry I did not get his name but it is enough I am going to check out their workplace in search of a good mechanic for my car. Great job, guys!!! Lee M read more

Tow truck driver got lost and was the rudest and most unprofessional person when he finally arrived. He yelled at us for his mistake and left without helping after waiting over an hour. Don't bother calling Lamore's. read more

Great old fashioned garage! They do it all at reasonable prices. Sometimes they are a bit slow to deliver because of the big demand for their services, but worth the wait. Honest, reliable and a family business. What more could you want!! read more

Best garage in town, the lot might always be packed, but don't let that deter you. They are just that busy, and for a good reason. I've been taking my car to Jimmy and Mike for over 10 years and they always been straight and given me a fair price. They are car gurus. If your wheels are making a odd whirling sound when you break or you hear some knock under the hood they will take the car for a ride, hear the problem and have it fixed in a day or two. Now that is service! read more

Been coming here for years! I refer all my friends here. I trust them and that is a big thing when it comes to car service! Great family business and people! read more

I am retired and have been using Lamore's since my car was towed there over 10 years - it really does not get better than this. Great service more than fair on prices and it is worth every penny. Truly a family business that cares and is honest. I have referred many friends with great success. Sometimes they are very busy (rightly so) but it is certainly worth the wait. read more

Lamore's has been our go to mechanic for 4 generations of our family. Beginning with my grandmother and now to my children, Over the span of many years they have always been trusting, reliable, fair and have never been unable to diagnose an issue. If there is something that they can't do, which has only been body work, they get it done. As a woman that has been through many experiences with attempts to be taken advantage of by automotive people I will say that Jimmy and Todd have never been anything but fair, courteous and respectful. Very sincerely, Jane Johnson read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My mom dropped her car off to get fixed and they left the keys in the unlocked car overnight and it was stolen off the lot!!! Lamore's didn't even notice the car was missing until the police found it around noon the following day and called them. How do you not realize an entire car on your tiny lot is missing?! Careless and incompetent people working there! And to not show remorse..... shame on you Lamore's. I will never be bringing any business back here based on the way you have handled this situation read more

These guys are the best. Our car broke down on I-84 W on Memorial Day. Their tow truck got to us fast, the driver was incredibly nice and helped us figure out a low-cost hotel to stay at for the night. He brought our car to the shop and the next morning, they had it fixed by 10 am and we were back on the road. They are honest, they do great work, they don't overcharge, and they are super nice. If I lived in the area, this would be my shop. read more

I had them tow my daughter's car from a busy highway late one night and told them what repair shop to bring it to. (this was covered by insurance) I drove my daughter to the birthday party in my car. I called the repair shop the next day and her car wasn't there! I called Lamore's and they couldn't tell me where the car was and didn't want to wake the tow truck driver to ask him because he worked third shift! I was continually put on hold and never called back as promised. Finally the repair shop called me and said they spotted it down the street at a random auto body shop with the keys in the drop box. The business was closed on Saturday. Now we have to somehow get the car to the correct shop and we wasted a Saturday when it could have been fixed for Monday. Bottom line: they don't care. read more

The best in the business! Only fix what is needed, no runaround, trustworthy, and reliable. Has been family go to place for many years. Jim and sons do everything right to make sure you understand what they need to do. Only problem is they are so good, it can be crowded at times with only two lifts! Kudos to the Lamores team! read more

I've been to Lamores a couple of times because of the convenience and the price is not horrible but my last experience will never have me going there again. My car has spent 19 days there this past month. 19 DAYS! They gave it back to me 12 days in with the check engine light still on! They weren't even going to tell me. I saw it and they told me they just needed to reset it. After I was done with my errand my check engine light was on again. So they charged me a good sum of money and the problem wasn't even fixed! So I brought it back where it spent another 7 days. After calling them repeatedly the owner finally tells us he didn't realize that it had been brought back! He saw the car and thought it was the same problem! They apparently didn't really even bother to look at it for 7 days. Lamores has forever lost my business. read more
