My AC abruptly stopped working today and I was so worried It was going to cost a fortune to fix. Tin took a look at my car and very shortly after knew exactly what the issue was and fixed it right there! I'm so grateful for this local shop! Support local and small businesses! You can't beat affordable, quick service with a smile! read more

My car was making the ugliest noise and I found myself the day before 4th of July worrying that I was not going to be able to make the 2 hour trip to pick up my boyfriend from JFK the next day. I called about four other places and no one answered. The kind folks at Capitol automotive not only answered, they were able to see me an hour later. Tin took a listen and fixed my car in no more than 10 minutes! It was a small problem that no doubt most places would've up-charged me for. He was even nice enough to put air in my tires. You truly can't beat service like this. I will be back and will recommend this spot to my family and friends! Thank you! read more

He spent time with me and went over the issues with my vehicle nice and clearly! Would recommend!

If I could leave 1 star I totally would first off how do you charge someone over 800 dollars for a half-ass job? They claimed they could only do half a tune-up because they couldn't get the bolts off the other side. I wouldn't recommend this place don't even know how they got almost 5 stars never again money wasted next time I will just do it my self read more

Tin is the man!! My story started off like most others, stolen hyundai, damaged and towed here. All the other autobody vendors from my insurance were backed up months out. This would've costed a fortune with my rental. Tin said he could do the job for me and I trusted him. Finished within a few days just had to wait for the parts. Great to work with, enthusiastic about cars, and gets the job done with high quality results. read more

While I was driving my wife to the hospital late at night, this company was speeding and ran me off the road. Terrible!! I took the number and called and no answer. This company has many infractions already. Reckless driving is a crime. read more

Tonight March 16th my daughter was coming back from the Hartford hospital she was entering the highway and her steering wheel locked up. I called AAA and they sent out Capital Towing. We had no clue where our exact location was but JR or Rj was his name found us and as I was on phone with the woman dispatcher from Capital trying to help us get exact location. JR or Rj already had my daughters car hooked up and ready to go. Awesome service awesome phone manners kind and just made a bad experience into a good one with such kind people. Thank your company the dispatcher and the Driver so much read more

Highly recommend Capitol Automotive for all auto services! Tin Le was professional and friendly, offering fair, honest prices and great, quality services. We had all works done there from oil change to body works. And when our car was towed there after an accident, Tin provided comprehensive estimate and worked with our insurance adjuster which really helped us getting the payout. Thank goodness for Tin. read more

This is how a service company should work. Capitol Automotive reminds me of the days where you did everything in the neighborhood. Service and honesty. They were very helpful and explained the process and gave me both sides of the equation. Even offered a suggestion that perhaps not fixing it was an option. That is integrity. In the end I decided to fix it and they did excellent work and the car is running great. read more

Capitol Automotive made extensive repairs to my Audi A5 convertible and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work and customer service. Tin, the owner, was responsive and obviously cared about doing an exceptional job. Highly recommended. Charlie Johnson read more

Incredible roadside service company! AAA was horrendous and after making me wait three hours, called back and said no tow would be available until the next morning (almost 12 hours)! And this not my first issue with them. The Hartford Police Department nicely offered me close to 10 different local tow companies phone numbers that they use. Every one of them except this place went to Voicemail. One later did return my call but said they couldn't take me the mere 7 miles that I needed to travel. This place was my hero for sure! The management was courteous, efficient, and timely. The driver named Justin was incredibly great & careful in getting my car to the repair destination. He was also a genuinely caring person as I shared with him all the towing challenges of AAA (extreme wait time, disregard for my explained safety concern, etc.) & lack of any other place even answering their phones of the evening. I made this company aware of my extreme appreciation for their help tonight. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! PS And the other company will certainly hear my voice too, just in a totally different/ far from complimenting way! read more

Adam was very helpful! I called another towing company twice tonight and the driver never came or called me. Capital Ave. Towing came within 15 minutes and gave me quote ahead of time. Awesome! One criticism. They only received cash. I would suggest the drivers have Square accounts to allow credit and debit cards. read more

Rude customer service. Try to ask if I can move my broken car over to fit some parts, they didn't even want to tell me anything at all.

I work for a relocation company and found Capitol Automotive via Yelp. I can't say enough how wonderful it was to work with them. This was one of the most pleasant experiences I've ever had with a towing company. Really just fantastic customer service and I can't say enough. I highly recommend them and will be using them again in the future. read more

My car broke down while I was in Hartford for only a month. Tin, answered the phone after a Siri search of where to get my car fixed. He was very nice, personable, and pleasant to work with. He explained everything to me in layman's terms and was very accommodative. His pricing was fair and he did not try to sell me anything extra (which I am sure my car could use). If I am ever in the area again and need auto work, I would definitely go back! read more

My younger sister asked me to jump start her car, sitting on our grandmother's lawn, which she was taking to be repaired. I agreed and drove my car up onto the lawn, but as I tried to get closer to her car I noticed my wheels were spinning and kicking up mud. I was stuck, we tried wedging wood boards under the wheels, but every attempt to get out of the mud just dug a deeper and muddier ditch under the back wheels. We gave up and called State Farm Roadside Assistance to pull both of our cars out of the mud and off of the lawn. They sent out Tin from Capitol Automotive. As soon as he arrived he got out of the car, shook my hand and introduced himself. He then devised a plan on how to get my car out of the mud and off the lawn, he explained he would use the winch to pull it in reverse across the lawn instead of pulling it over the high curb directly in front of my car so as not scrape the underside of my car. Then he would follow by doing the same with my sister's car, but he would tow her car to her mechanic for repair. During the time he was pulling our cars out of the mud he was very personable and even comedic at times. I highly recommend Capitol Automotive for your next roadside emergency because Tin is not only good in a tricky situation , but is by far the friendliest tow operator you'll meet. read more
