We called Toyota Care for help. We wound up waiting 3 hours for a tow, but the people at Steve's allowed us to use the lot and the restrooms while we waited. After a ridiculous amount of a wait, Brenda, in the office called the tow company that we were waiting for, and "shook them up". Within 20 minutes the tow showed up. While we were waiting we saw the great body work that they were doing on cars. I would trust these people to work on my car any time. FIRST IMPRESSION: Elaine at the front desk walked me through the process. She was very kind and patient. You'd be surprised at some of the off-putting/uncomfortable/ or condescending interactions I had at other shops before coming here. She didn't need much information other than my insurance quote. I was given a drop-off date and told how long the repair should take. She made sure I knew how the rental car situation would work. She was very proactive; she called me a week before the drop-off date to let me know she hadn't heard anything about my car rental reservation and wanted to alert me. DROP-OFF: On the day of, I had car rental issues, none of which was PC's issue, but Elaine again was patient with me until I had that straightened out and offered to make me a cup of coffee. PICKUP: -which was indeed the expected date originally quoted to me, I had some issues with my debit card and it was almost closing time. Both Elaine and Ken were so very patient with me. They allowed me to take more time to go to the nearby bank branch to clear up the issue, which put me back at PC after closing time, on a Friday no less. Ken was gracious about the whole transaction and walked me to my car. WORK PERFORMED: -was a big replacement from a rear end collision. They were able to work a previous damage that directly affected the job they would be performing into a supplemental charge to the insurance company. When I say that car never looked so good, I truly mean that. The new version of my car was thoroughly detailed inside and out and the replacement was seamless. When I finally got my car back almost a week later, I was horrified. So much overspray on other parts of the car. Took my car back to Chris who told me he could fix it but I would have to wait another couple of weeks. I agreed but was not happy. After getting my car back three weeks later, the car looked better until I waxed it. Right quarter panel had so much orange peel that I have to take the car to another body shop since Chris won't fix it again and correct his mistake. For God sake, don't take your car to Chris's automotive! You will experience nightmares with this body shop. I have no idea how he remains in business.

Olender's is on the USAA insurance short list of accepted specialists and, since they are only 3 miles from my house, I figured it was as good a place as any. USAA may be onto something. I was lucky enough that I could still drive the car, so my down town was minimal. Once the parts were in, I dropped off the car and, after an estimated 11 business days of work, I got the call 8 business days in that it was ready. Like a new car.
