That man is Bill @ Broadway. He rebuilt my carburetor, overhauled and replaced a bad ignition distributor component, and got the car running stronger than it has in years. He also took the time to locate and install, period correct appearing RWL radial tires for me, something no one else was willing to put the time and effort into. All for a reasonable price. I am completely satisfied, and that's not easy. And make no mistake, their servicing covers all kinds of other years and makes of cars as well, as is evidenced by the variety of cars on their lot. After putting our truck up on the lift, they found some major structural issues with rust. They called us and requested we come down and see the situation. This call came after hours. It was an urgent matter to them that we be informed of what we were dealing with. We struggled with the decision of whether to invest a large amount of money into a 2005 GMC pickup. They were really patient as we went back and forth with it. We ended up not having the repairs done, and they were so okay with our choice, even in the face of losing a job. Took our 11-year-old SUV in for a hole in the right rear section of the exhaust pipe. This is a…read moredual exhaust with a single pipe off the catalytic converter that then splits to the left and right mufflers at the back. They had the car on the lift within 5 minutes of getting there. After about 10 min they had me come out to look at the pipe (I already knew where the hole was). They said they could easily fix it with some flex pipe and a bit of welding without having to replace the entire pipe. When they were inspecting the pipe, they found another much smaller hole on the left side of the exhaust pipe and said it might be OK but may also get bigger with the additional force after fixing the big hole. The other option was to take out the entire pipe from behind the converter and put in a new one. Once they gave me the costs, I opted for the full pipe replacement. While on the lift, the mechanic also pointed to a fluid leak up at the front, that they thought might be the transmission but after looking at it, determined it was coming for the power steering line, which was both sections of metal and rubber tubing. The rubber tubing was leaking due to age. After some searching for the manufacturers part, none could be found in stock, but the mechanic had come up with a solution that would perfectly repair it, but at far less expense. For the exhaust, they also couldn't find a replacement pipe in stock anywhere and even the car manufacturer couldn't say when they could get one. So instead, one of the guys, custom built the replacement exhaust pipe all the way from one end to both mufflers, in the shop. All in all, Jason and his team completely fixed both issues, and kept the price as originally quoted even with all of the extra work and time required for building the new exhaust pipe. They checked everything over, test drove it and rechecked it in the morning before I picked it up. And I'll just say that all of the work for both issues, was much less than what I had in my head for just the potential exhaust work. Honesty, Integrity and open communication are a big part of having good mechanics to rely on, and Jason and the team and Meineke in Colchester, CT, have all that and more, and we will definitely look to use them again. They earned and deserved the 5 stars.

I had work done there before and it was done well at a fair price. Unfortunately, it is no longer D and S. It is now Oelander Body Shop. They gave me a quote of $6000+ to do the repair work. Thinking this to be excessive I started looking for other body shops. Luckily I found Hilltop Body Shop which is part of Troiano Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge in Colchester, CT. I talked with Kym who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I left the truck with them because the estimate I got from them was much more reasonable. Kym had considerable difficulty finding a tail gate, but kept at it like a bulldog with a steak bone in his teeth. She also kept me apprised of the situation and how things were progressing throughout the entire period. She got the job done for me, it was perfect, and came in at less than half of what Oleander was going to charge. Got body work you need done? Go see, "Git 'er Done" Kym. She is fantastic. The work was done on my truck and even on very close inspection I could find nothing wrong with it. Five star company!
