This place is great. I have worked with them twice. First time was with Gary who worked on my wife's BMW. The second time I worked with Justin. They took a mess of a half done after market performance install that I got stuck on due to lack of appropriate tools and cleaned it right up. They quoted me a time frame to get it done that didn't really work for me, but when I told them that it didn't work for me they went above and beyond and worked through the weekend and got it to me early. Inconsistent service super friendly when you are paying them dodging your phone calls in times of trouble. They actively screen your phone calls. Not adverse to name calling or shaming you. Do yourself a favor and do business elsewhere. They do offer loaner cars freely and that was greatly appreciated even when one broke down it was replaced so credit where credit is due. read more

I went here to have some problems with my right wheel fixed and as any auto repair should would do, they fixed it. But, my car was damaged while it was in their care in the form of a big dent on my fender. I noticed the dent on the way in as I was about to pick up my car and pay the bill. Immediately after paying the $500+ bill, I mentioned the dent. We went outside and looked at it. I was then called a liar and they denied the fact that it happened at the shop. Regardless of their denial, the owners offered to install a new fender as long as I paid for it, or hammer the dent out for free. I went with the latter since I could not afford the new fender and paint job. The dent still looks awful. Now I'm stuck with a potential extra 500 dollar job to pay for damaged that occurred while in the care of Computech. Ultimately, I went to this shop and paid over 500 dollars to have my wheel fixed, have my car dented and be told that I was "f*cking lying" about it. The lesson learned is to always take pictures of your car before taking it to a shop because otherwise there is no proof that you are not in fact lying. And also, to never return to this shop again. read more

I had a seized tube fitting in my steering box that I could not get out. After hours of failure and after completely destroying any resemblance of something a wrench could grip onto, I reluctantly took my Bronco to Computech. They got it out using electro-magnetic, flameless heating technology. The owner was cool and professional, and the mechanic pointed out some areas I should keep an eye on. He even gave me some helpful tips. The price was reasonable, and I was able to install a new fitting because they removed the old one cleanly. read more

The first time we brought an older vehicle here years ago, they could have done a repair and taken our money, but instead kindly advised us against it, explaining why (and made complete sense). Recently we brought a different vehicle to them and they were very friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt to fix the problem. Totally worth the reasonable cost! I sent my car to have the transmission rebuilt. Not only did it take 3 months for them to do, we got the car back with a major coolant leak that was not there before. When ever we would call about the car we continously got the run around of no one knowing anything. read more

Just got my husbands 1999 Ford Mustang repaired here. Fuel pump was bad. Justin was amazing and did a great job on the car and with customer service! Gary Jr. Was also very helpful! Once your repairs get to a certain amount he included the full diagnosis fee and the tow fee and saved us a bunch of money! My 01 jetta broke down at work in Norwich. I panicked as usual and called Computech. I spoke to Sr. and he told me to call back Monday morning and talk to Jr. I called back Monday and they were very kind and up front with the costs of towing, diagnosis and fees. During the repair process they continuously kept me up to date with the progress and estimated time of completion. They found a few other issues with my car and asked me if I wanted them to repair them. My main issue was the starter. They also repaired my rear brakes and front ball joint. They even offered to deliver my car back to my job because I live in RI and didn't know if I could make it down to pick it up at the shop. Great people there and they seem very honest. I went here back in 2010. I had a transmission that was acting a little funny, and wanted to get things checked out. They charged $60 or $70 for the diagnostic test, and then told me my transmission needed to be rebuilt. It was a little odd, and no details were given, just that it was going into "limp mode". The owner was angry and questioned me as to why I had a transmission cooling kit in my backseat (really odd, why is it his business?), and was cursing as I waited at the front desk as there was some issue with the cash register. I declined the offer, and instead got the fluid changed and some lucas fix added in (at another location mind you), and never had issues for years into the future. I'm glad I didn't listen to the owner there, sounds like a crook to me. read more
