I want to start by saying don't be leery about the location because it is duct off behind some industrial buildings and I would've never found it had went googled it lol. But boy was it a hidden gem when we did‼‼ walked I. And was immediately seated as we did have reservations. I didn't even have to say my name , which was great! All the staff on the way to our seat and throughout the whole experience was amazing. The restaurant was a combination of booths and tables, also what looked like a party room for private seating. Pretty semi-dim lighting and very clean space. The seating was comfortable. Food ratings below: Calamari 3/5- nice crisp coating but no flavor Bread 5/5 cooked to perfection! Drinks: 5/5 all were tasty & strong! Salmon: 5/5 seasoned and cooked to perfection Stuffed Pork Chop: 5/5 Very tender & tasty Highly recommend and we will be returning!

Ridiculously good. Everything from time we were seated (waited on by Zach, recognized from past visit by Ashley). Food is excellent. I had Chicken Parm, wife had a seafood pasta dish. Pasta is handmade. So good. Best meal in some time Oh, by the way...don't forget a smoked old fashioned!

The ambiance of the place is perfect for young adults & adults alike. The server brought the lobster & sirloin on a flaming cart to keep the food warm. We enjoyed every bite.

Once again Yelp directed me to an excellent choice for our dinner. We don't get to this part of town often so we didn't know our options. We were seated promptly. Deanne (spelling?) greeted us warmly right away. She suggested I taste the wine I was considering before ordering a whole glass. So nice. Wine ordered we turned our attention to the menu. Lots of good options. I selected the chicken Angelo and hubby got Souvlaki. Everything is made to order so his steak was cooked to perfection and I could get the chicken without green peppers. My chicken dish was loaded with chicken! Actually need to boil noodles at home for my leftovers! Ha. The souvlaki was excellent. It came with veggies and rice on the side too. I also ordered a small salad. Was a very generous size small and it was awesome. Creamy Greek dressing on it. The bread was also very good. Overall this was a great meal and Deanne was the most pleasant waitress we have had in a long time! If I lived closer I would be a regular!

Spiros is located in its own building with plenty of parking. We went on a Wednesday evening and were seated immediately. The interior is cozy and creates an intimate atmosphere. Our server was incredibly prompt and attentive tte entire time. We love Greek food, and enjoyed all we ordered here: the spanakopita, Greek salad, moussaka, pastitsio, and galaktoboureko. All of it was fabulous! We definitely plan on returning and would recommend to others!

I do love an old school restaurant sometimes. Mood lighting, waiters in ties and aprons, weilding club sized pepper mills. And please give me a breezy patio with strings of lights! We requested the happy hour menu: tues thru Fri. You choose soup or salad, entree, dessert, and a bev. Price based off which entree you pick, starting around $20. My dining companion and I both chose the smoked shrimp with grilled veggies and a twice baked potato. Our food was really good, flavorful and cooked well. Service was great. Total bill was under $30 with tax, pre tip. I think we're going back next week, dragging along another diner.

Great salads and apps! Love the "happy hour" meal specials but you do have to ask. They won't offer up the menu without asking. Entrees are either amazing or just okay. Have had the best sea bass of my life here but the tilapia is kind of plain. Rack of lamb was flavorful. The sides are always tasty. Service is a bit "dry" but spot on and professional.

The appetizer's were delicious, we got the hot plate and the cold plate or dips, cheezes, and shrimp. Our server was fantastic and very attentive. The restaurant was a tad cold for some people but I was quite comfortable, it made the flaming cheese appetizer stand out even more because you could really feel the heat.

The food was wonderful; the service was the best we've had for a while, and the hostess was so nice. It was just perfect.

Clearly, with over a thousand reviews, Anthonino's is beloved in St Louis and beyond! I had to…read morecheck it out for myself. Reservations are a good idea due to its popularity. Parking is easy within a block or two. Outdoor, booth, and table seating is available. My husband had the gluten free pasta because it is also vegan, and no lie and true to form, it was delightful and light! The tomato sauce is Perfection: not too acidic, not too sweet, letting the grand yet humble tomato shine. I chose the puttanesca, one of my favorite traditional Italian pastas. I would order this again!! Had plenty for lunch the next day. Not to be left out: the toasted ravs and cannoli. I've had a few T-ravs since moving to StL, and these are excellent. The tomato sauce for dipping, once again, is a real treat. The cannolis? Precious, flaky, and dreamy. I ate one at our table and took the second bad boy home. FIRE.

While traveling through Missouri, my wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner. I searched…read moreYelp and came across Anthonino's. I also remembered seeing it featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, so we figured it had to be worth a try. When we arrived, we were asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, but noticed a few open seats at the bar and asked if we could sit there instead. The two bartenders welcomed us right away and told us they would take good care of us throughout the evening. My wife ordered an iced tea, and I started with an Old Fashioned. For an appetizer, we ordered the Toasted Ravioli ($14), which is handmade in-house and filled with ground beef, ricotta, and pecorino romano cheese, served with marinara sauce. It's one of the dishes featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. For dinner, my wife ordered the Chicken Marsala ($23), and I went with the Bolognese ($17), made with veal, pork, red wine gravy, cresta di gallo pasta, stracciatella, and Calabrian chili oil. The toasted ravioli arrived looking great. I tried one without the sauce first. The fresh pasta didn't fry up quite the way I expected. It was more flaky than crispy, and I was hoping for a little more crunch. The filling was decent but could have used a bit more seasoning and flavor. The marinara sauce also had a bitterness to it that wasn't my favorite. When our entrées arrived, both dishes looked and smelled wonderful. Unfortunately, the flavors didn't quite live up to the presentation. My wife's Chicken Marsala had good flavor overall, but the side pasta was very gummy, and the sauce again had a bitter note that seemed to overpower the dish. My Bolognese was the biggest disappointment of the evening. When I think of Bolognese or a rich meat ragù, I usually expect a wider pasta such as pappardelle. The cresta di gallo pasta wasn't my favorite choice for the dish, and it also had a gummy texture. The sauce itself suffered from the same bitterness that we noticed throughout the meal. Looking back, I probably should have ordered the Carbonara once I realized the Bolognese wasn't being served with the type of pasta I was hoping for. Overall, the meal was okay, but it didn't quite meet the expectations we had after seeing the restaurant featured on television and reading the reviews. The service was excellent, and the bartenders did a fantastic job taking care of us. While this visit was a bit disappointing, there were plenty of other dishes on the menu that looked great, and I would be willing to give Anthonino's another try and order something different.
