We love that we get to enjoy a soulard gyro by us out in the county! Not the same vibes as the original location in soulard more of a Quiznos feel when you walk in... I'd say they went the for chain vibe when they expanded to their county locations. But food is what matters and they are consistent with delicious and large portioned meals! Staff is friendly and they make the food fast! We usually get a gyro bowl or chicken gyro bowl with a side of hummus to go. read more

I need to learn to read before I order. I took my prescriptions earlier, but my original choice ended up closed on Mondays. I still wanted Mediterranean so Greek sounds good. However, I did not fully read the sign at the front door about Happy Hour. I ordered the gyro combination with the meat served on fries. I am not sure the difference in combo or a Happy Hour deal actually is... however, I think paying less and not getting fries would have been better for me. The lamb was tasty. My wife and I were driving and thinking of something different for lunch. We decided on Soulard Gyro, a restaurant that's popular on Yelp in the local area. Plenty of seating and restrooms were very clean. We agreed on a Greek Salad as our appetizer and the olives perfectly complimented the rest of the ingredients. My wife went with the chicken gyro, while I had the classic gyro. Both are well portioned with a nice balance of meat and veggies and tzatziki sauce which was clearly made fresh. Soulard also has a variety of side dishes as well as desserts to add to the experience. Overall a great decision for lunch. Soulard Gyro has several locations in the STL area if you're interested in getting a quality gyro for a reasonable price. Will be back for sure! read more

We've eaten here over a dozen times and I have to say, we're gonna be reluctant to go back. Sor sorry guys, but the new meat is flavorless and the taziki sauce was so runny, it was nasty, drippy and soggy. This place is amazing! I'm not usually a huge gyro guru. But, this place, dang! I got the one with avocado on it. California something? It was phenomenal. Excellent taste. It was huge too. Plus it had bacon...BACON!! I also had the fries with the feta and special sauce on them. They were excellent. I'll be honest, if every Greek place did gyros like this, I'd eat them every day. But they don't. What really sets Soulard Gyro apart - the gyros are stuffed full of ingredients, no bites of empty pita. Plus, the ingredients are fresh. The sauce also tasted better than a standard gyro joint. All in all, I will now seek this place out in the future. It's been a few weeks, and I'm still thinking about that gyro. When the other customer realized it was t his food the young lady tried to give me the same bag because it was my order. We have consistently enjoyed meals at this location. The service is pretty fast and it's easy to get in and out in a timely manner. Plus, they often play a great selection of rock music. My go-to is the gyro salad with spicy tzatziki. It's a large salad with generous portions of gyro meat! They serve it with pita bread, so it's essentially like getting a gyro- just more lettuce and less pita. It makes for a satisfying dinner. My husband likes the Cali gyro, which comes with avocado and the spicy tzatziki option. My daughter orders the original gyro or Greek salad, each of which are solid choices. My husband has a big appetite, so he also orders the side of hummus. It's served with lots of fresh pita bread for dipping. I just visited this location on November 15 therefore I have visited numerous times over the years but I wanted to share some new changes I noticed on my most recent visit. I'll order the chicken gyro salad and originally they accidentally made me the bowl with rice so they made me the salad which was great customer service there for the chicken gyro has changed significantly now it's just like a pulled chicken with a jerk like seasoning therefore it used to be the same shaved gyro meat as the lamb therefore I'm not sure when they changed this over. We also had an order with extra meat and there was no change between the order with extra meat in order with normal amount of meat. This could have been an error as well but it was still delivered wrong. I believe the overall taste of food has decreased significantly since I've been there last, and they shouldn't call the chicken gyro meat anymore instead call it pulled chicken. Fries also seemed to be cooked in a different oil or the recipe has changed as well. I have been wanting to try this place for sometime now. I finally got the opportunity to run there on a Friday at lunch. I end up getting two different Gyros, the classic and the cali gyro. I wasn't the biggest fan of the cali but the classic was delicious. Falafel was delicious! The girls behind the counter were welcoming but the place felt a little bleak for some reason. read more

We found Soulard Gyro and since go maybe 3 x's a week. We watch people wiping, mopping constantly - keep it Clean and that is important!! BUT 1st and foremost the food is perfect :). There is also a falafel option for non-meat lovers. I opted for the chicken gyro and fries with both the spicy tzatziki and regular tzatziki on the side. The spicy tzatziki wasn't really spicy in my opinion, but I definitely enjoyed the flavor on the gyro. The gyro had an ample amount of chicken and the flavors were pretty good. Sooooo let me start by saying this, if you have never tried lamb but are interested. Just know they give samples w/without the sauce! Upon entering this place, I'm sooo shocked that it isn't more people than it should be. It was cleaned very well and the customer service was amazing! I went on a Saturday afternoon, and surprisingly they were doing to go orders very quickly. It didn't take long for them to finish once placing the order. This place is a solid edition to O'Fallon. Coming from NYC, Halal Guys is life and this is the closest thing to it. I absolutely love lamb over rice and this place delivers on that. Numerous options and combinations, you can choose gyro (lamb/beef blend) = my fave, or you can get the chicken option. Bowls, gyros, etc the list goes on. Super fresh ingredients, fast service, you name it. The food was a decent portion. The only thing these guys can improve on would be either lower the price by like $1-$2 ($9.99 for a bowl that's a bit of smaller portion than a chipotle bowl) or increase the portion size by a bit. Really enjoyed Soulard Gyro! It's a pretty standard little eatery, but the staff was friendly and the food was yummy. We got the Philly Gyro and the Cali Gyro, as well as some fries. My parents also got the Gyro Sliders. All around the food was consistent and good. We would definitely recommend stopping in to one of their several locations in the area if you're looking for something a little different than the standard pizza/burger/chicken fare.
