Yummy Mediterranean restaurant tucked away in a not obvious space on the side road of I-70. The staff are all really friendly. The service is fast and the food is delicious, fresh and well seasoned!

Jaffra is absolutely amazing! You can tell the owners put their heart and soul into creating the wonderful dishes they serve. Hummus, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, and the Turkish Salad are amazing. If you haven't had turkish salad, just try it! The flavors will blow your mind! Can't go wrong with a single entree either. Amazing lamb, beef, etc. Was also very impressed with the lentil/rice dish. And of course try the Baklava. It is not your typical baklava and delightfully full of cinnamon. And the Turkish coffee, YUM!

As a Mediterranean food aficionado, I would definitely recommend you try out Jafra. It truly is a hidden gem that's worth visiting. The restaurant gives cozy vibes with the tables and chairs that you may find at a nice home dinner parties and decor around the restaurant with the subtle pink/white flowers gives it just enough pop of color. Staff are very attentive and friendly as well. The food is where they truly shine though. Although everything was really good from the flavors to presentation, for me, The Turkish Salad, Musakhan, and the baklava stood out. Turkish salad was very flavorful and was a nice pair for the bread. Musakhan looked very familiar like a typical flatbread/pizza, but with amazingly rich caramelized onion flavor paired with almonds and sumac grilled chicken. Finally, they served the best baklava that I've had which was not overpoweringly sweet where you could actually taste the cinnamon and nut filling.

Had an amazing experience at Jafra's. The food was fantastic, I don't think I had a single bite I didn't enjoy. Plates are large and great for sharing and for leftovers. Service was prompts and attentive and the restaurant was very clean and tidy. I loved the cute flower decor they had! Highly recommend, can't wait to bring people here and watch them light up at the first bite

What can I say! This was my first time visiting Jafra Mediterranean Restaurant and I was OVERLY satisfied. The restaurant is located in a nice location and is very ADA compliant. Plenty of family styled seating and the staff was extremely kind and welcoming. I'm pretty sure we tried everything on the menu. I felt like royalty the way the plates kept coming to the table lol My favorite things to eat were the eggplant hummus and the Ouzi! If you are a fan of tender protein go with the lamb! Everything was so flavor-filled and made with love. AND the Baklava was THE BEST I had ever had! Highly Recommend!

Tried a little bit of everything, and everything was amazing. The tzatziki sauce was so amazingly balanced between the lemon and cucumber. The pickled turnips were an unexpected delight! The falafel was so flavorful and crunchy on the outside. Best I've ever had! The owner introduced himself to us, and welcomed us into their space. The ambiance and decor was light and comfortable. Beautiful Turkish lamps and cherry blossoms everywhere. Very pretty! Will return! Everything was delicious!

It is not easy to balance delicate spiced flavors in a big way, but Jafra does it perfectly. Each dish had my full focus and appreciation. I loved the thoughtful presentations paired with a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. You can tell the owner loves this business and cares for the experience of his guests, and the folks he has staffing the kitchen pull off this mediterranean dream beautifully. I adore a good baba ghanouj and this one was heavy on the smokey flavor, I couldn't possibly choose between that and the garlicky smooth hummus. I've never had turkish salad before and it was out of this world, bursting with fresh flavor. The meats here are excellent quality, I especially appreciated the fork-tender lamb and the condiments paired with them. The flatbread-esque Musakhan was a new one for me and the toasted almonds really set off the chicken and sweet onions! The baklava was SO good it transported me back to my childhood friends house making giant sheets of the ultra-sweet dessert, it was just like I remembered. What an amazing event and a restaurant I cannot wait to take my family to. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and service! The Baba ghanoush had great smokey flavor and it's served with warm pita. I tried the grilled shrimp and definitely would order it again. The sauce is flavorful with a bit a spice. It was such a colorful plate! The rice was perfect and I loved the toasted almonds on top. The staff were very friendly and our server offered us a sample of coffee at the end of the meal. It was a nice touch. Next time I am going to order dessert to go! (Tip: you pay at the register)

This was my first time at the restaurant. It has a nice and quaint atmosphere. The seating is pretty close to each other. Our waitstaff was nice and available. He answered all my questions regarding the entrees. I ordered the hummus which had a spicy meat on top, this was served with warm pita bread. The hummus was prepared the way I like, warm and delicious however, the meat on top was not edible at all. I ordered the lamb shish kebabs with rice and a tomato medley. The lamb was tender and pretty good. The rice had no flavor at all. The sauce with the lamb had no flavor either. The charges for the entrees were very expensive. I am glad I tried this place, however, they will need to step it up to compare with other Mediterranean restaurants.

Ouzi. Pink garnish is pickled turnips.

First of all, a couple of disclaimers. I usually do not rate a restaurant based on one visit. I also only rate restaurants that I believe to be 5 stars. It was my first visit to Jafra and it was a 5-star meal. My youngest daughter and I are foodies with the motto "we travel for good food." Jafra was a bit of a trip but was totally worth it. We ordered grape leaves as an appetizer. At some restaurants, the actual leaves are fuzzy and bitter. Not fuzzy, not bitter, and with the best filling I have ever had. I ordered Ouzi which I have never had before. It was a rounded dome of filo containing beef, rice, carrots, peas, and nuts. It was a great mixture of favors. My daughter ordered Shish Tawook which she loved. I tried a bite of it, and while I rarely eat chicken, it would be a dish I would order. Jafra is a pretty little restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. Service was quick and very friendly. My daughter and I do not drink coffee, but we had to try the complementary Turkish coffee at the end of the meal. Warning: It will make you stand up and dance. We will definitely be returning.

Jafra is rated in the top 10 Mediterranean restaurants in the country. This is definitely a well deserved honor. I was recently invited to a dinner party at Jafra. The restaurant is family owned and run from the host, servers, and chef. The welcome is warm and hospitable. The meal consisted of a variety of outstanding dishes. They serve a delicious falafel. Crispy outside and pillowy soft on the inside. Served with a creamy herb sauce. I especially enjoyed the Turkish salad. This dish is hard to describe but it's fresh with a very nice bit of heat. The hummus and baba ganoj were also very well made. The pita bread warm and crisp. Perfect for dipping and sopping. We tried several different entrees. My favorites were the beef shawarma and the Jafra mixed grill. Both plates had tender juicy proteins. The rice was fluffy and full of flavor. We closed the meal with a balaclava roll. This was a most satisfying end to the meal. *for the die hard STL people who insist good food only exists with in the City Limits, I promise this is totally worth the drive. Again, incredible hospitality and amazing service and food that is delicious and full of flavor make it worthwhile.

What a great dining experience we had at Jafra! The staff treat you like family. They are hospitable and attentive. The food is amazing. It's fresh and the flavors divine. My favorite was the Hummus and the Jafra Mixed Grill. The ambiance is beautiful. We cannot wait to dine here again! 10/10

An assortment of appetizers. All made fresh with quality ingredients. Hummus, Baba Ganouj, Turkish Salad and falafel.

But - when pulling up the menu, we couldn't decide on what we wanted to get and their roasted chicken takes an hour wait (which means we get freshly roasted chicken.) We ended up with a good lunch: beef/lamb gyro bowl, gyro sandwich, and hummus. Bro - the gyro bowl was BIG that I needed help from my husband to eat it. It was covered in white sauce, the meat slices were generous, and the rice was so nicely cooked and fluffy. My husband loved the gyro and was REALLY into the tzatziki. The hummus was so good, but it was much more than chickpeas. It was topped with an herb that I couldn't place, and I swear it had orange blossom in it. I absolutely look forward to their roasted chicken on our next visit!

Service The cashier was really nice and helpful but I had to ask for my soda that came with the combo & the shawarma sauce. You cannot substitute the fountain drink for the lemon mint. Food The shawarma was dry so make sure you ask for the sauce. I didn't taste the pomegranate sauce/ special sauce on the wrap. It was just ok. 10 fries is not worth $4. The chicken wings is medium size pieces not whole wings. They were tossed in a lemon garlic sauce & fried to a crispy. They were really good would recommend. I needed a little more sauce but that's my preference. The lemon mint drink was really good and highly recommend it. The flavor was like drinking cold pressed juiced green grapes with mint & a hint of lemon. I'm not sure if thats the recipe. My total was $30.18 Golden Chicken restaurant is just ok but not worth the 30 min drive for me. If I'm in the area maybe.

I'm surprised they don't charge more because after purchasing I always find myself saying something along the lines of "I can't believe they don't charge more for this deliciousness". Once we arrived though, people starting coming in. There were probably 4-5 families for pick up and then 3-4 groups came to dine in during the span of time we were there and more just kept coming. I was craving falafel so I ordered the vegetarian plate so I could try a bit of everything. I read a review that said they had the best yalanji here and I COMPLETELY AGREE! My husband ordered the chicken schwarma sandwich in the pita and he INHALED IT. We also loved the fries too. It reminded me of halal guys. So addictive. I think it came with white sauce which was just as delicious. Wish I knew what was in it lol we were STUFFED, but we dined in so we could try the baklava ice cream sandwich and that did not disappoint. I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it but it was so good. My stomach shifted to make space! Falafel was perfect but again, the yalanji was probably my favorite part. The one waitress did a great job, but the place is large... for a couple of hours they could use another staff member. The kitchen staff needs more people. The falafel. And coffee should have been made first-then the sandwiches. I believe this was the because of skeleton crew idea of management. Even the entrance was not located under their sign, but located under a Hertz sign. Overall- the name sounds like a "fast-service casual" place, but owners never worked out the kinks yet. I am a fan otherwise. I can see what the place could become.
