Another day, another visit to an Indian restaurant. My wife and I were intrigued by the name, Tikka Tangy--it's definitely catchy. We arrived around 5:15 PM and were seated right away. At the time, there was only one other person dining in, so it was nice and quiet. The staff quickly brought us water while we looked over the menu. As we placed our order, there was music playing in the background that reminded me of a club vibe from back in the day--definitely a unique touch. Our food arrived about 15 minutes later. The presentation was appealing, and everything looked very tasty--and it didn't disappoint after the first few bites. I even sampled my wife's dish, which was just as good. I ordered the Traditional Mediterranean Plate with chicken shawarma, white onions, cucumber, and garlic sauce and some naan bread. My wife went with the Samosa Chana Chaat bowl. Both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. We left the restaurant full and satisfied. We'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

Tried this place for lunch on a business trip dining solo. Very clean and the staff was nice and inviting. I opted for a butter chicken bowl. The server explained the extra toppings available and even offered to put them on the side so I could try without committing. The butter chicken and rice were very flavorful and really didn't need any extra toppings unless you just want some veggies in your meal. Server asked if I wanted naan bread with it but didn't mention it was an extra cost $4.99. Not too much as it was a lot of bread but would have been nice to realize up front. I would return

Ordered the thin crust chicken tikka masala pizza with onion, bell peppers and tomatoes for carry out. Was informed that they had made a regular crust pie by mistake, and they were making a thin crust per my order. A few minutes later they brought out the thin crust, and said to keep the regular crust pie. Very much appreciated - mistakes happen! It gave me an opportunity to do a side by side taste test between the two crusts, and I have to say they're both delicious, but I prefer the thin crust! Clean space located next to Smokestacks on Olive. Recommended!

This is a place that a lot of people should know about. The customer service is wonderful and the inside is really nice. I grabbed the tikka masala pizza and definitely different. Wasn't bad but it wasn't for me. I really liked the rice dish I had and the original tikka masala and butter chicken. When I went it wasn't a lot of people and it was lunch time. I'm guessing the location is kind of bad. Oh and definitely get the biscoff shake!

I tried this place out right after landing in STL, lovely cozy little hole in the wall, it's an Indian restaurant with a twist, their dishes were unique but very tasty, service was great and I'll definitely come back here again.

We were able to get seated right away and the service through out the entire night was awesome as he was attentive to us. He did let us know that it may take some time for the food to serve since it was made to order. We ordered the vegetable fritters and hummus with warm naan bread as our appetizers. The fritters were crunchy and crispy. The mint chutney sauce was delicious. We didn't care for the tamarind. The naan bread was soft and buttery. We all ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, and created our own bowl with creamy signature garlic sauce. Chicken Tikka Masala was fire! The sauce was tasty and chicken was cooked to perfection. The Butter Chicken was amazing too! We could select any toppings to add to our meal ranging from cilantro to cheese to peppers. We would definitely be back.

Don't sleep on this place! The butter chicken is scrumptious! Variety of Indian / Mediterranean makes it so hard to decide. Staff is super sweet. I can't believe this place is not busier.

WHAT A FIND!!! Do not pass up this hidden gem of a local spot. They have a menu that's 40% Mediterranean, 40% Indian, and 20% street food. We decided to give it a try since we were nearby and looking for a quick dinner. We both ordered Mediterranean, so you know we will be back for some of the other flavors. The plates arrived in styrofoam to-go containers, but were BEAUTIFULLY laid out. Clearly the quality and thought that went into the plates will be reflected in the cooking and flavors. It was! The chicken shawarma was fantastic, served on rice and smothered in a tangy, delicious garlic sauce. The lamb kebab was also perfectly cooked and beautifully served with a delicious salad and on a bed of rice. The multiple sauces served with the meals were all fantastic, the green sauce is very spicy. So good though. A great experience, from the warm, welcoming attendant behind the counter who helped us through the menu, to the wonderful food.

We came in for lunch on a weekend. We thought this place was more fast casual, but they also have full service. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious, but it was pretty pricey for what you get. We ordered the value family meal for 54.99, but it seems to be cheaper to get the items individually. - Papdi chaat (5/5): This was so yummy. Crispy with the chip and onion, but the potatoes, yogurt, and tangy sauce were a perfect combination - Samosa (3/5): Huge Samosa size, very potato-y and not super flavorful - Seasoned fries (4.5/5): These were surprisingly delicious. Crispy and perfect in the garlic sauce. - Falafel (3/5): Good but not my favorite - Butter chicken (4/5): Love this with the garlic naan. Super savory, creamy, delicious. - Paneer tikka masala (4/5): Also very tasty with the garlic naan

Dirty fork, starter came out after the entree and it was $9 for regular bread. Entree was smaller portion than other restaurants around.

Later that morning, I decided we should go there for lunch since Ms T was out to lunch (literally, this time) with a friend. As a result, KT and I ended up at Dinar, a first time for me. I have driven by many, many times and have not taken the time to investigate. I kind of assumed it was Indian cuisine or maybe pan-Mediterranean. I had no idea. She told me that they provide a complimentary small serving of the lentil soup with meals, but we asked for a large serving each and shared an Iraqi Chicken Tikka sandwich. The soup was delivered first, and I must say that it is very good. It has delicious chicken flavor and is not really spiced in any other way, although there is plenty of salt. We loved it. I shook on a little black pepper and really enjoyed it. It is simple, yet so good. The Chicken Tikka sandwich was ordered with their Iraqi bread, which I highly recommend. This sandwich is something I would also go back for. The chicken is well seasoned and grilled so that it has a good char-flavor. It is dressed, with pickle, onion, tomatoes and herbs. It is flavorful and the chicken is not dried out. There are a lot of things to try on their menu. If I can't get Ms T to go, I'm sure KT will meet me there occasionally. There have been several restaurants in this location over the past ten years or so. I hope that Dinar can succeed.

The chicken shawarma was flavorful, as were the rice and veggies it came with. I asked about authentic Iraqi food, and was told their sandwiches come with Iraqi sauce. Perhaps I will try the sandwich version next time. The menu is very similar to other Mediterranean food I've had, and I'm told the recipes are specifically from Iraq.
