Agdah chicken (center), Sahawaq with Feta Cheese, rice, chicken mogagal, hummus
    Brett B.

Ordered carry out on Sunday at 4:30 pm- Agdah chicken, Megalgal chicken, bread, hummus, Sahawaq with Feta, and one dessert that looked like baclava but was better. Agdah chicken and hummus were the standouts- excellent flavors. Excited to go back and sample other dishes. Glad this place is in the area.

It's funny how things happen. Our daughter asked me if I would help her try to replicate some…read moredelicious lentil soup, she had at a place called Dinar. I said, I just need a sample. Later that morning, I decided we should go there for lunch since Ms T was out to lunch (literally, this time) with a friend. As a result, KT and I ended up at Dinar, a first time for me. I have driven by many, many times and have not taken the time to investigate. I kind of assumed it was Indian cuisine or maybe pan-Mediterranean. I had no idea. She told me that they provide a complimentary small serving of the lentil soup with meals, but we asked for a large serving each and shared an Iraqi Chicken Tikka sandwich. The soup was delivered first, and I must say that it is very good. It has delicious chicken flavor and is not really spiced in any other way, although there is plenty of salt. We loved it. I shook on a little black pepper and really enjoyed it. It is simple, yet so good. The Chicken Tikka sandwich was ordered with their Iraqi bread, which I highly recommend. This sandwich is something I would also go back for. The chicken is well seasoned and grilled so that it has a good char-flavor. It is dressed, with pickle, onion, tomatoes and herbs. It is flavorful and the chicken is not dried out. There are a lot of things to try on their menu. If I can't get Ms T to go, I'm sure KT will meet me there occasionally. There have been several restaurants in this location over the past ten years or so. I hope that Dinar can succeed.

The chicken shawarma was flavorful, as were the rice and veggies it came with. I asked about authentic Iraqi food, and was told their sandwiches come with Iraqi sauce. Perhaps I will try the sandwich version next time. The menu is very similar to other Mediterranean food I've had, and I'm told the recipes are specifically from Iraq.

First time and definitely not the last time!…read more Clean, decorative space upon entering. We were eating a very late lunch/early dinner at 3pm lol and there was no one else there. Once we arrived though, people starting coming in. There were probably 4-5 families for pick up and then 3-4 groups came to dine in during the span of time we were there and more just kept coming. I was craving falafel so I ordered the vegetarian plate so I could try a bit of everything. I read a review that said they had the best yalanji here and I COMPLETELY AGREE! My husband ordered the chicken schwarma sandwich in the pita and he INHALED IT. We also loved the fries too. It reminded me of halal guys. So addictive. I think it came with white sauce which was just as delicious. Wish I knew what was in it lol we were STUFFED, but we dined in so we could try the baklava ice cream sandwich and that did not disappoint. I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it but it was so good. My stomach shifted to make space! Falafel was perfect but again, the yalanji was probably my favorite part. I was so sad when I only had 2 left. We'll be back. :)

The food was very flavorful, but appetizer was served after the main meal meals were served. I appreciated the diced tomatoes dipping sauce vs ketchup... it upscaled the dish nicely. The fries were golden brown and tasty. The gyro was good. The black coffee was strong and hot. The place needs another server to increase the business during the lunch rush. The one waitress did a great job, but the place is large... for a couple of hours they could use another staff member. The kitchen staff needs more people. The falafel. And coffee should have been made first-then the sandwiches. I believe this was the because of skeleton crew idea of management. Even the entrance was not located under their sign, but located under a Hertz sign. Overall- the name sounds like a "fast-service casual" place, but owners never worked out the kinks yet. I am a fan otherwise. I can see what the place could become.
