The steak and cheese was surprisingly really good! In most places it's hit or miss at a Peruvian spot but this was perfectly cooked and tasted really good, i would definitely get it again!! I'm really convinced this place has the best Yucca, it's always the best at Spin Pollo, fresh and crispy which I love and the chicken is superb

Delicious food. Good service. Chicken was moist and tasty. Sides were lackluster mostly in terms of quantity. Really liked how the restaurant was set up the decor was set up really nice. Overall this is a decent spot too eat at .

I ordered a quarter white lunch meal with two sides. The chicken is super delicious lots of flavor and good portion size. The rice with beans on top was really good too. I missed out on getting yuquita balls though. Those are filled with cheese in the middle. The yellow sauce is a must if you order the chicken. Just dip it in while eating!

Food was okay. Just okay. The beef Loma noodles dish was salty and when we added green sauce it was extremely salty and inedible. Service was great. Everything seemed clean and staff were cleaning / cooking diligently. I will return and update my review . But for what I ordered it just didn't set off any bells. Except the yucca balls - those were a solid no for us. The texture. Needs something to accompany the cheese . Some flavor / texture.

Very delicious and fresh food. Came in around 5:30pm on a Monday and my food was ready within 90 seconds. I came in slightly before the dinner rush and it was slow but the staff weren't sitting on their phones... they were sweeping the floors, cleaning the tables and working hard behind the counter. I hope they stick around because having a fast quick healthy meal is more important than ever in my household :)

Stopped into Spin Pollo for lunch. The place was very busy. The service was quick and my food came out very hot. The lomo saltado comes with fries. I would get the dish again, but without the fries served with the lomo saltado. The churros were a great sweet treat. I just wish the caramel was served warmed.

I hadn't been here in a while so I decided to pop in. They have some additional and new menu items so I was excited. I wanted something sweet so I got the churros with caramel on the side. 4 nice size churros with dip for 5.99. I don't use the dip and they were good. I also got the lomo saltado and like always I enjoyed it. It was juicy and flavorful and just what I wanted and needed. My food was cooked to ordered I didn't wait too long they did have a lot of door dash orders and Alot of people on and out ordering which is always good.

OMG! This is the best chicken I think I have ever had! It's a perfect 10 out of 10! I'm working for the Army for a week while I am here and I may eat here every night!!!!! The fried chula rice is pretty damn good also! I know food, as I have traveled throughout the world and this is it!

Half chicken with Yuma and rice

Delicious and well seasoned chicken with two sides. The yuca is really crispy and the rice tastes almost buttery. I will be coming back here!

I forgot how amazing the food is here at Spin Pollo. They are known for their chicken, but their carne asada is excellent also. This is an ideal location in Kingtowne with plenty of parking and outdoor seating. The indoor vibe is pretty cool too, when it's hot outside. Spin Pollo has several healthy options, fresh ingredients and nice large portions. Great for takeout or a causal date night. Excellent service, friendly environment. Try the churros for dessert.

I pass by this spot all the time and the smells finally won me over! The chicken is cooked to perfection! I got a 1/4 dark and it was some of the juiciest I've ever had. I thought it might be just because they had just opened up for the day but I went back the next day at a later time and the chicken was just as fresh. The yuca is delicious here and seems like they always have some fresh out of the fryer. The sauces are all tasty and I can't pick a favorite. This place is the real deal! I'll be back soon

Lomo saltado
Vincent M.

Came here on a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. We went for a half chicken with the side of fried yucca and fried rice and an order of lomo saltado. I also was told to try the chicha morada (a purple corn drink.) Chicken was great. Since I did takeout the skin doesn't stay crisp, but the flavor was quite good. For most of the pieces, the seasoning seemed to penetrate the meat. Fried yucca is pretty much fried yucca and the fried rice was also good. I shredded up some chicken and like to mix it with the rice, yucca, plus some of the green sauce (it's got a kick!) I barely got a taste of the lomo saltado as my wife had it. Large slices of beef. Also good flavor, more soy sauce forward and not as strong a vinegar taste. I had no idea what to expect chicha morada, but it reminded me a lot of jamaica (hibiscus tea.)

Located between Home Goods and Panera...next to &pizza.

Huge portions. 1/4 chicken is way more than enough for me with two sides and the price is very reasonable. I will definitely be coming back.

Amazing food!! We…read morewent about an hour before closing and surprisingly, there were a lot of other people in line already as well! We didn't know what to expect going in. The line was long but they were very open about why it was taking a while (they wanted to ensure they only took orders they could fulfill and check their food inventory), once we ordered it was very fast! The food was delicious and so well made! The half chicken was what we got and it's alot of food so be ready to eat! The rice, plantains, and yuca are so yummy, highly recommend any of those sides. The sauces are all delicious as well, you can't go wrong. Such a great place to get quality dinner and the seating it plenty! 5/5

We'd…read moreregularly order a whole chicken, dark meat only, and this was one of those Arlington spots I used to bring out-of-town friends to. I still laugh at ordering through the microphone after COVID because it feels like I'm stepping up to request a karaoke song. Unfortunately, it hasn't felt like the same place lately. They stopped letting us order the whole chicken the way we preferred, started nickel-and-diming on sauces, and somehow the flan always seems to be out. More importantly, across probably five recent orders, the chicken has consistently tasted under-seasoned despite that great rub and flavor that made this place famous. Portions feel smaller while prices have climbed. The dining room doesn't help. It feels dated and neglected rather than like somewhere you want to stay and eat. It's still a convenient option if you're in a pinch and need a family meal, but I no longer bring visitors here like I used to. For me, the value, consistency, and experience that once made El Pollo Rico special just aren't there anymore.

I'm glad we did because it made our venue decision so much easier and we decided not to go with Inca Social as a result. The food was not bad - some of it was pretty good but some were ok. I enjoyed the seafood rice. Not the best I've had but still was quite good. Empanadas were ok. We just went to a yelp event at Mpanadas and enjoyed their empanadas more. Chicharrons were tasty but not what I expected. Maybe if they just called it roast pork belly or something. I've had chicharrons that are pork rinds that are super crunchy and crunchy pork belly in Peru and other places but this felt different somehow. We got a couple of other things as well that were ok. The experience itself was very strange. We had really liked the vibe from outside when we've passed it on walks including their fun instagrammable sign that says "it's a vibe" but I did not have a good experience upon walking in. We stood for a while waiting near the host podium. Other diners were looking at us as we tried to see if we could wave someone down. Eventually we ask the bartender if we can just sit down. She said usually the hostess needs to seat us. We said sure but we've been waiting but it doesn't seem like someone is coming so she said ok then go ahead and sit. I pick a booth because it's a cozier vibe. In less than a minute, the hostess pops up saying she had been in the bathroom and asks if we have a reservation. We said no and she said we needed to move to another table that was in the middle of the room at a table with chairs. I thought this was strange given that we were coming in around 9pm but thought maybe they had a huge party coming in so didn't fuss. No one else came for those booths for the duration of our meal. I was a bit perplexed but let it be. The server started out great. She was friendly and made some recommendations upon request. Once the food came out though, we did not get serviced again. Our water never got refilled. Plates sat on our table. I had to stare into the kitchen area where she and another server were sort of folding napkins (very slowly) but mostly chatting. There was a ton of socializing going on in the kitchen area including the hostess. I don't really care about this unless I have to work to get someone's attention and I don't see a ton of customers requiring help. We skip the water request and ask for the bill while skipping dessert. The food is not bad - some good and some ok. The experience left much to be desired so between these factors...I didn't feel excited to spend thousands of dollars on an event where we may or may not have a great experience. It was a bummer given the convenience of the location and seemingly cool vibe of the place. Maybe next time! Giving 3 stars vs 2 due to partner having enjoyed a hh here... maybe the service was a big glitch that night and maybe the hh menu is worth trying.

So, we wandered to Mayta's. Wow. 1. Not sure why in 3 years living near Frederick we had not gone before. (my bad) 2. wow The food is simply amazing. Everything from black beans to meat was prepared. We chose Mayta's largely based on location, being open for lunch and strong online reviews. We were quite happily unsurprised with the quality of its fare and its seeming value. Nestled into a quasi-upscale strip center on the western side of suburban Frederick, Mayta's presents an extensive and diverse menu, with helpful pictures and short narrative descriptions. Food is order-at-the-counter, either off of the lighted overhead menu or standard printed menus. The cuisine for both is the same. For dine-in, which is what we did, one need not pay upon ordering but we did so for our convenience and that of the staff. We both ordered off of the $20 lunch specials menu, for which you get one appetizer, one entree and one soft drink. We found the portions delicious and generous - both of us brought home considerable leftovers for lunch the next day. Each dish was well-seasoned and prepared without being too salty (a too common failing for international cuisine prepared for American consumers. While we also are intrigued by Mayta's neighbors in the strip center, we definitely would come back. There is nothing not to like here.
