I can't believe I had not written a review for Spin Pizza yet. If you're looking for great pizza (and more!), you have to check it out! This was my 3rd or 4th visit and I always leave wishing I could eat more! While they have other food options, their pizza is really what you want to try. I've had the sausage and apple, the pesto chicken, and their traditional red sauce pizzas. All have been amazing! They have several crust options: Wood fire thin, Detroit style, and even cauliflower crust. You can create your own or go with one of their signature styles. This just means you'll have to come more than once! They also have their gelato station for dessert afterwards. This had so many amazing flavors, it's hard to pick just one! For this particular visit, we had a larger group which they accommodated us quickly and service was great throughout our dinner. Still one of my favorite places for pizza. And really a hidden gem. They have such a cool vibe and the staff are all very nice. I love the cauliflower pizza, but really all are great. They are a little pricey, but have amazing specials. 1/2 price pizza and spirits from 2-5 weekdays. I highly recommend the meatball appetizer. You get four fresh meatballs with focaccia bread. I was invited into Spin for a social media collaboration, and it exceeded every expectation I had! It's a fun atmosphere with a bright, casual, and trendy vibe. Our service was great all night, and the food came out super quick! The spinach dip, pizza, cocktails, and gelato were all DELICIOUS. I had the Hot Honey Peach Margarita, and it was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. My favorite bite of the night was our customized pizza with beef, mushroom, glazed pecans, and goat cheese. My husband and I first visited Spin! for a Yelp event (when he was my plus one, he loves that!) - and we enjoyed it so much that we have been back multiple times after the introductory event. The restaurant's vibe and decor are super charming, featuring cool murals adorning the walls, a cute bicycle-riding mascot, bicycle wheel lamps, and exposed hanging lightbulb-style lighting at the bar, creating a unique and stylish atmosphere. The staff even remembered us from the Yelp visit, because we went back so soon after that first time - LOL! Speaking of the staff, they are always excellent. I ordered a pizza once with the Detroit style crust, but the manager told me that she wasn't sure that style/flavor would work on the Detroit base. She had it made that way originally, but said it didn't turn out right (like she had first thought), so re-made it with the normal crust. Now that is service! And in relation to the Detroit style crust, that style is so delicious and crispy/almost caramelized on the edges. Love it! My husband is from Detroit himself, so he always gets that style without question. We had the mini mias (which come with a pizza and salad) for the Yelp event we attended, and we loved that combo, so have ordered that a few times on return visits. My favorite Mia combo is the BBQ Pizza on the Detroit crust, paired with the Greek Salad. It's a delightful combination of sweet and tangy flavors. The salad is light and refreshing, featuring pungent (in the best way) feta cheese, a light vinaigrette, and juicy cherry tomatoes. My husband sticks with classics - the Pepperoni pizza (of course on the aforementioned Detroit style crust) with a Caesar salad. The pizza is always on point for a pepperoni, and the salad is perfectly dressed (his words). My one non-Detroit style pizza that the manager remade on the normal crust, was the Sausage and Apple paired with the Sonoma salad. The normal crust mini pizza is a 7 inch round pie, which was plenty. The apple and sausage went so well together, and the Sonoma salad was great with the pizza too, as it it had apples also, along with grapes, raisins, goat cheese, and an orange vinaigrette - yum! And we don't just stick with the Mini Mias always. We have also tried some of their pastas and entrees! The Beef Bolognese is very flavorful and a huge portion, so you will definitely have leftovers to take home. The Chicken Risotto is also a large entree, with perfectly cooked risotto and a juicy chicken breast. Lastly, if you're looking for a sweet ending to your meal, the tiramisu is top notch. It's a pretty good size for sharing, but I could eat by myself. If you're looking for an inexpensive meal that's flavorful and plentiful, definitely give Spin a try, either at this Legacy location or the Papillion one. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with a smile and genuine hospitality. The hostess greeted us immediately and offered our choice of seating--booth or table--and kindly took our drink orders. Our server arrived promptly to take our appetizer order, and not long after, Brian--who may be a manager--stopped by to introduce himself. He was incredibly friendly, checked in on us throughout the meal, and provided great insights into the menu and new items. Brian's service elevated the whole experience--attentive, enthusiastic, and truly memorable. We started with the spinach artichoke dip served with rosemary flatbread. It's hands down the best I've had in years. The warm, flavorful bread paired perfectly with the creamy dip--so much better than typical chips! Next, we enjoyed the Detroit-style meat combo pizza and a salad. Let me say--this was not "just" a salad. I had the Very Berry salad, which was bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. Brian mentioned all dressings are house-made, and it shows. As for the pizza: perfectly crispy crust, cheese all the way to the edges, and delicious cupped pepperoni. We tried three versions, and every one was consistent and absolutely nailed the Detroit style. The atmosphere is bike-themed ("SPIN!"), with fun wall art, creative light fixtures, and an open, airy feel thanks to the large garage doors leading to a great outdoor patio. TVs are well-placed without being overwhelming, and the overall noise level is perfect for a conversation. The space is clean, modern, and welcoming--right down to the well-kept restrooms. Before leaving, we discovered the gelato counter--local, house-made flavors. Though we were stuffed, Brian offered us sample spoons, and we couldn't say no. The gelato was outstanding--rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. It's worth coming back just for that! All in all, this was an exceptional dining experience from top to bottom. Spin is a family oriented, order at the counter pizza "and more" restaurant. We dropped in for a quick Italian craving. They have two fairly new additions to their menu. One is pretty good, the other fairly awful. I love Detroit-style pizza and have had some pretty great ones -- in Denver as well as from the Costco freezer case. At spin, the pepperoni was sparse, but the cheesy crunch was nice. This pizza saves the review. The second new item -- Papardelle Bolognese. I love, love, love papardelle. For me, it's like a light and fluffy, flavorful small scale lasagna noodle. Here, it barely had any flavor. And to call the accompaniment Bolognese "sauce" really was a stretch. Lots of meat/burger, with a slight red tomato-y tinge, but not really a sauce. Disappointing. If I make it back here, it will be only for pizza. The people were nice, though. read more

WOW! Spin Pizza is the place to go for Detroit style pizza in Omaha! We came for lunch. We were greeted at the door by Donna, one of the owners from Canada. A very lovely person. I was very excited when Spin came to town, I still am! I built my own pizza try to stay as close to plant paste as possible and boy was it a treat I use the Grubhub through Yelp and it arrive before expected time, the service was awesome. In the past when I would dying in, I always loved their venue. It's a beautiful space and they make you feel welcome, I remember their salads been wonderful as well, I've never ordered any salads to go!!! I built a 14 inch cauliflower crust, vegan cheese, red onion, and here's where I left the plant-based planet, I added, Gorgonzola, and Soppressata. This pizza was a work of art, I would prefer a little more onion, and a little more so Prasada, but other than that it was just phenomenal. It was a little pricey , 50 bucks with delivery and tip for one 14 inch pizza, but plant-based eaters are getting used to that, in fact, next time I'm going to add a few ingredients. If this location offered vegan Parmesan, I pay as much as five bucks to have it delivered with my pizza! read more

I visited SPIN for a second time today with a large group. I did the Mini Mia, which I think is the best deal, and ordered a pizza with pesto as the sauce, goat cheese, and candied pecans, and then also a caesar salad. When my pizza came out, I could tell they forgot the pesto (it was completely white.) I let a server know and just asked for a side of pesto, and they were very quick to make it right. He said the chef "knows there is pesto on it," but there was not a spec of anything green on the pizza that I had received. Additionally, another person in my party and I said they forgot the caesar dressing on our salads and asked for a side of it. All that was on it was something that tasted like oil. Once we got our side of dressing we realized that the oil is apparently the caesar dressing...I've had countless caesar salads, and I've never tasted a caesar dressing so, well, tasteless. It was runny, oily, and had absolutely no resemblance to caesar dressing. Very odd. read more

We have come to spin for years and have always had a great experience. Pizza is always good. Today we went in (west Omaha) and the whole concept had changed, you no longer order at the counter and then pick your table--now it's full service with a hostess that sits you, and you order off of a menu. I don't know if they changed suppliers, ingredients, or what but the pizzas were definitely different in taste and texture. All of the pizzas at our table (8 of them) were undercooked, and the crust is definitely different. The taste was off, and we were underwhelmed. We ordered 1/2 sausage and sautéed onion pizza & 1/2 double pepperoni pizza. Sauce was sweet and light, not too think or too much. Crust was good, but the bottom of the pizza was very thin. Very good flavor tho. Before we left, we got 2 small scoops of gelato to go. Banana Carmel Praline & cookies and cream, both were very good.... But the service was not good. The 3 girls seemed more interested in talking about their hair color and eating ice cream behind the register. We had to go back up to the register to ask for our drinks and they said they would bring it out to us. We were only 1 of 2 tables there, It felt like we were an inconvenience to them. What a vast difference this visit as compared to our last visit in March 2022. The wife and I were running errands, to which I decided to bring us to Spin! for a tasty treat. We were not disappointed! The chicken pesto pizza was very savory and a little bit crunchy. We sat by the window and enjoyed a light breeze while enjoying the evening. Kaylie came by and asked us how we were doing, so we told her what a contrast this was compared to the dismal experience before. She brought us a gift to come back and enjoy the food! We've been going to this Spin! location since it opened a couple of years back and generally, we really like the overall experience. The food here is very good. My wife considers this to be the best pizza in Omaha and while I don't know that I agree, it is solid. We enjoy it. I've had the chicken and pesto fettuccine along with a couple of sandwiches and they are always good. You really can't go wrong with much on the menu. The only thing that keeps this from being a five star review is service (this is all pre-coronavirus obviously). The first time we came in was when they first opened and we almost left because the service was so bad. Since, it's been much more consistent but still with some occasional hiccups. The thing is that you order at the register and you don't have a specific server assigned to you. They have a group of roaming servers who are supposed to serve all the tables. As you can imagine, this leads to some situations where service is spotty to non-existent. We've had to flag someone down just for a refill or napkins in past visits. Nothing super urgent but enough to keep it from being a five star experience. All told, this is a place that we enjoy and is part of our usual rotation of dining options. A little underwhelming. I wanted to like it, I really did. I had heard such good things about their location in Kansas City, so I was expecting the Omaha store to be as good. Part of what made us especially eager to try Spin is the fact that they have ample gluten free options. Any pizza can be made with a gluten free crust, which is great. Or at least it would be IF 1) the food didn't taste mediocre, and 2) if the service weren't abysmal. I know restaurants are suffering with being understaffed. But really, this was awful. There weren't very many people there besides us, and they had plenty of staff to handle so few customers. So staffing levels wasn't the problem. They just didn't know anything, and we had to keep asking over and over and over again for items we had already requested. It was almost like something out of the movie Airplane the way a server would come ask if we needed anything else, we would tell them, then 2 minutes later someone else would come ask, we would tell them, then 2 minutes later...etc, all without our actually getting what we asked for. My requests are not even complex. I'll ask them to hold the cheese and THEY ALWAYS GET IT WRONG. I ask them to repeat the order and they repeat it back correctly, but when I get the food the order is wrong. I just don't understand it. If you're on a regular diet you are probably fine. I'm a SPIN fan! We took the kiddos and had a great lunch. I love getting a mini Mia and a salad for lunch. The tres carne pizza is amazing. My son loved his pepperoni pizza and it comes with gelato at the end! The Greek salad is my favorite, but they are all good. Lots of fresh veggies and flavorful dressing! For an appetizer we ordered the 3 hummuses (is that a word) and it comes with this really good bread to dip. It's almost like a mix between naan and focaccia. All 3 hummus are very good. My favorite is the kalamata olive. If i had to make one complaint, I didn't like that my daughters Mac and cheese was legit kraft.
