I came here recently and was pleasantly surprised to see the space had been updated and renovated since the last time I went. The previous space wasn't bad at all but this new space is more of a lounge vibe. The music and food was great. I loved the board games at the tables for guests not playing ping pong or just waiting for their turn. The only thing I would suggest to be mindful of is that Mediterranean appetizer I ordered came with vegan cheese and I don't recall vegan being explicitly stated on the menu.

Great fun in the city! Came for my cousins bday. They have food and a bar. Everything was fairly priced and you pay per hour for the ping pong. They also have a slew of other games like darts, shuffleboard, jenga, connect 4. They even had a Photo Booth! The venue itself has artwork throughout and was very spacious. There are workers who come by who are confidently cleaning up the balls and replenishing the buckets. At the entrance they had a small shop with merch and a ping pong beginner set that came with a paddle, balls and more. A definite recommendation if you enjoy a little bit of friendly competition! I had worked up a sweat after our hour!

We ordered some pizzas and enchiladas I believe. The food was tasty and the portions were sizable. The set up was 1 ping-pong table and 2 couches and 2 tables. The business idea of combining food and ping-ping is quite novel to me but i see how it works for large groups of friends. We played in turns and we socialized in turns. The space is clean and spacious. It's mind-blowing that you don't need to lift a ball from the floor because you always have access to infinite balls and ball-boys are swiftly moving around you to pick up the balls from the ground. Ballsy idea Definitely recommend - just double confirm that all guests are ready for some ping-pong humiliation granted that it is not the most popular game in the US. Will come back for sure. 4 stars because that waiter was 100% rude and on top of it all charged us with the the bill of another table..

This place was fantastic! I think it's perfect for a group outing or something spontaneous out with a friend. There are a lot of ping pong tables, along with a variety of other games such as connect 4, shuffle board, darts, etc. The food and drinks were good and the music was perfect. I came on a Saturday night and they had a DJ who played dance music.

They have the Pong video game too!

Super impressed with Spin. We booked a package for 6 people - 2 hours of ping pong, unlimited call drinks, Mediterranean platter and two pizzas for $70 per person. There's a coat check when you arrive which is helpful for these cold winter months. Upon check in, staff was super attentive and on the ball. We were shown our space and our server came over right away. Multiple times throughout the night, the manager came by to check on everything. Food and drinks were awesome. And our server came around frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Ping pong was fun too - they have people going around collecting all of the balls that go flying so you don't need to spend time doing that. After the two hours was up, we opted to hang out at the bar on site. They did fun bar games and my friends won some prizes! Really impressed with the level of coordination here with the service. No one missed a beat. Staff was attentive and very present the whole evening. Had a great time for a reasonable cost! You can't say that about too many places these days. They have another bar on site called Marty's but it was closed for a private event. Looked nice! Will be back for sure.

I can't believe I've never been here! I went a couple weeks ago (Black Friday) and had a GREAT time. Vibe is very loungy, with numerous bars, ping pong tables, couches, and games throughout the venue. Food and drinks were priced appropriately and the waiter was always easy to find.

Good customer service, but greatly understaffed, at least one the Saturday Night I went. Cause of that it was a long wait for drinks at the bar. Chill ambiance. Has a laid back vibe with all the games they offer. Ping pong etc. Food C+ Wings C+ Meh. Ok, but just ok.. Fries C Plain. Need more seasoning. The Chipotle sauce they comd with is killer(A), but the actual fries they come with (D) was a let down The frozen Irish Coffee was B+ Really good. Only thing stopping it from being an A was no whip cream or topping, and it's consistency was very chunky, but still it was real good

    Help!

Great fun! Great music.! Very happy place to be. Most days is $50/table. Fries were a bit soft n not crispy, we had sparkling California Brut. $12/glass. Slightly sweet. Inga, the bartender was a bit rude, n short w us. If you're in the service business, you should be friendly n courteous.

I came to SPIN for a corporate team event. I like the ambiance of SPIN, it was large and had a number of activities you could do including ping pong, shuffle board and darts! The drink and food options were also pretty good!

I hosted a private event here on Friday night at 7 PM. We worked with Laura to reserve the space in a semi private area. Laura made the process very easy and was very super open to answer any questions we had. The night of the event, we worked with Ty and Patrick who were both great and very friendly. The food that was passed around was also very tasty and a hit among our attendees. I loved their shrimp tacos the most. I was a bit disappointed about the semi private space because we were told there would be a curtain around it but we just had a small retractable barrier so there was a loud drunk group that ended up coming into our space but they were thankfully asked to leave by the staff after around 10 minutes. All in all, a nice option for a private social event - they even gave us a small discount because Friday nights were considered off peak time. Our group would definitely be interested in hosting another social event at SPIN!

Spin is the ultimate spot for a fun night out with friends! Plenty of ping pong tables, plus extra games like darts and Jenga to keep things interesting. And as someone who loves a good photo booth, I really appreciate having a fun way to capture the night! We grabbed food at the bar, and let me tell you, the espresso martini was chef's kiss--smooth, bold, and exactly what you want. The birria bao buns? Absolutely to die for. Messy? Yes. Worth it? 100%.

Went to spin for a US open watch event and had an amazing time! We were able to try the infamous honey deuce drinks while viewing the game on the big screen and we got to play a couple rounds of ping pong! This is a large venue with a sexy upscale bar/ ping pong feel to it versus other ping pong establishments and game rooms. It's conveniently located in flatiron and drinks food service and aesthetics were amazing!

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

Easy to find if you know what you're looking for, if you arrive right at 5pm on a cold weeknight in the winter, you'll easily find a table or seat at the bar. Very cute space, cozy like everyone says, but nothing mind blowing. Music is moderately loud. The menu in early February still included their winter holiday cocktails. I was more interested in the apple sage house-made fermented soda, and it was pretty good-large glass, flavorful and not too sweet. My friend enjoyed her pomegranate version. The space started to fill up at around 5:30. Service was polite when you could get it, but generally very inattentive, even before it got busy. It honestly didn't feel too different from anu other very nice NYC bar, in terms of menu selection, prices, ambiance and service. Maybe that's standard for NYC speakeasies, but the places I frequented in other cities were more fun and felt more worth the price. I'll still give another NYC spot a try, but not coming back to Thyme.

It somehow manages to feel both refined and relaxed at the same time. The kind of place where you half expect to spot Hemingway in the corner pretending not to eavesdrop. We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation. Overall, it's a great spot if you want elevated drinks in a space that feels transportive without being pretentious. This is a hidden bar upstairs of a restaurant. Small and intimate dimly lit space. Although small,…read moreyou still felt the energy of the room. Very full cocktail menu. Staff was accommodating and let us sit for an hour as we didn't have a reservation. Don't try any of the light bites. I'd come back

We had an extra person when we checked in and they happily added her to the rez. We just had to wait about 15 mins which was fine. We were seated around 7:30pm. It was busy and bustling in the upstairs bar. We were seated at a spot resembling a coffee table(s) with chairs / ottomans surrounding it. I got the martini. It was a fun play with the green curry and saffron. This place is a little loud, so it is not easy to have a convo with your party. I am old so this probably wouldn't have been something I clocked in my younger years. They do have food which looks intriguing. Especially anything with truffles on it. If in the area, would definitely consider coming back for a quick drink and bite. REVIEW #4013
