Recently went here for a friend's birthday with a group of 8 and had an amazing time. We paid $80 per person for 2 hours of play and an open bar (seasonal cocktails not included), which felt totally worth it. I had the spicy Lucy which was great and the son of a peach which was delicious. The shuffleboard setup was really cool , it includes a digital scoreboard and multiple ways to play, which kept things fun and interactive the entire time. We also ordered food separately (the birthday girl treated us), and everything was delicious. We had boneless wings, pepperoni and cheese pizza, hummus with veggies, and guacamole and queso with nachos , all solid choices. There was a DJ the Saturday we went, and he played a great mix of music, including some reggaeton, which definitely added to the vibe. Overall, we had a great time and I'd absolutely recommend this spot for a large group, date night, corporate event, or birthday celebration.

I recently attended a team-building event at Electric Shuffle in NYC, and I can see why this spot has a wide appeal. The venue is decked out in retro decor, and I felt like I was going back in time as I climbed the stairs into the lounge. For someone who's never played Shuffleboard before, I was able to get a sense for the rules after an attendant gave us a brief tutorial. I also liked the digital aspect of the game, where sensors on the boards calculated the scoring automatically and allowed us to watch the dramatic replay whenever someone scored. As we were playing, we grazed on a variety of appetizers and pizzas - my favorite app was the buffalo mac n'cheese bites. My only comment is that it was difficult / messy to eat finger foods while playing shuffleboard. In addition, the space we had reserved for our team of ~10 people felt small, especially with the two shuffle board tables and the food table squeezed in between. This activity seemed better suited to a smaller group.

Sometimes you just want to play!! I tend to stray away from games. I don't know what happens to me...the nerves take over, I get a little louder, and my fake competitive side comes out...lol However, its always hilarious! This place was basically an adult playground. Music and shuffleboard...what more could ya ask for. We hit this spot up for a friends birthday brunch. For $60pp you get a lot. Champagne and mixers Truffle fries Marg pizza Breakfast pizza Maple bacon chicken bites Avocado and flatbread Breakfast quesadillas Beignets They also gave us an order of regular chicken bits & Breakfast quesadillas w/ no bacon for the non pork eater. The server was super accommodating and helpful. After we were done playing we got a table and were allowed to hang out. Definitely a good to spot to go to with your friends.

Made a reservation for Galentines at Electric Shuffle as they were doing a deal for $65pp for unlimited mimosas and one free espresso martini each for Valentines wknd. All the food you see in the pics was included and we were amazed how much it was everytime the waiter would come out with dish after dish. We appreciated that from the start they asked us any allergies so they can tell the bar and kitchen staff. The coordinator of the shuffle board was there to teach us how each game worked. The place was shockingly not packed I'm guessing since it was more of a group friendly vibe for valentines weekend. The dj has a good mix of music and it wasn't so loud that we couldn't speak. Would definitely book an event again next time, can't bet the price for all the food and drinks included.

Electric Shuffle is a good time for large groups. Make sure to book in advance. We did the shuffle social package. $75 per person, unlimited food and drinks plus two hours of shuffleboard. The food is spectacular - pizzas, fries, crudités and wings. The drinks they have are great, especially the salted caramel espresso martini. The seasonal drinks were not included in the package however. The staff is very attentive and you will never be without anything if you need it. There's ample bathrooms located in the front when you walk in. They have a bar that you can stop in and order from even if you don't want to play shuffleboard. We took the stairs up here but unsure if there's also an elevator to ensure accessibility.

Cute, fun spot for a party We reserved a table for two hours and it went by so fast! Good drinks and food

Came here for a birthday party and had a fantastic time! We decided to do the $75 90-minute all you can drink and eat package, and let me tell you I really wish I took a picture of the food because it was bomb I couldn't stop eating the buffalo wings, I'm pretty sure I walked out of there. Bloated as all hell for how many buffalo wings I had. There was a solid variety of finger food choice making the drink/food package totally worth it. I haven't really played shuffleboard like that , but I did enjoy and was impressed by the way it kept score. You could also do different variations of games, and it would keep track of you well. Truthfully, I wanna go back. I had a really great time. The service was also phenomenal . Aly was our server, and she was exceptional with our group of 16. 10/10 will be coming back

Electric Shuffle NYC is such a fun spot to visit with a group of friends! The service is so friendly, the music & vibes are great and they have one of my favorite cocktails - the salted caramel espresso martini. It's so good I would go back for that alone. Perfect spot to celebrate a birthday or occasion with some shuffleboard & brunch :)

This place and gets a 10 out of 10 in my books! We went as a group of 15 and we had the time of our lives! Amazing package deals for drinks and food as well. The service was quick for both food and drinks. I believe it was 45 per person for a non-alcoholic package and 60 per person if you were drinking, the drinks and food were unlimited which was great. Hoping to go back very soon :)

Came here on a late Monday evening for a quick drink before calling it a night. First time here and was really impressed with the space. It looked really fun! My friend and I got a beer each. They were priced at $9 each which wasn't bad for the city. A good place to check out if you're looking for a night cap.

The coolest place for a team event! Tasty food, nice service, and fun games. Everyone had a great time

Came here for a birthday event and it was an awesome experience. I've heard of Electric Shuffle but never really tried it and I'm glad I had the opportunity to do so! There were multiple tables where a few people can play, it's very interactive. Since it was a Sunday afternoon, everyone was enjoying watching football all around the space. The space is huge, with a great view of the city. Def would come here again!

Came here on a Friday night. It was fairly early so it wasn't crowded. Games were fun. The music was great. The drinks and food were not good.we got a platter and the fries were stale and gross, the boneless wings tasted straight from the freezer bag, hush puppies, and quesadillas were lackluster. My cocktail tasted like juice. So my recommendation would be come to play some games, but drink/eat nearby.

It definitely has the vibe of a speakeasy, especially with the jazz band playing. We went with the brunch special which is $35 for bottomless drinks with the purchase of an entree. It pays off if you're having more than 2 drinks and we made sure we did! Bloody Mary's were excellent! The food here was outstanding. I had the 3 Eggs Any Style and my wife had the Breakfast Flatbread. Those dishes as well as our friends were well made and delicious. We're three young women in the service industry and still felt completely unwelcome--the hostess told us to find our own seating even though the sign said see hostess. The bartender was rude and uninterested, standing 5 min+ at the bar without even being acknowledged. Another staff member was dismissive when closing us out and rolled her eyes when asked to take cash. The overall vibe felt like we weren't wanted, even though it was only around 11 PM. The DJ was underwhelming and the bathroom was vile. The most pleasant part was the below average $20 drinks. For an expensive, well-known spot, this was a very poor experience. Couldn't pay me to return.

There is currently construction and scaffolding in front of the place, but you'll see signage where to go at the opening of the scaffolding. We walked in, past the bar and checked in. We were seated within 5 minutes. I ordered a bourbon old-fashioned and we ordered crab rangoon as a starter. There were a lot of them and the sweet chili sauce was great. For my entree, I ordered the vodka rigatoni and a side of buttered broccoli. The vodka rigatoni was really good - liked the flavor and a decent size of pasta. The broccoli was really good for some reason to me. Also tried the truffle mac and cheese which was incredibly rich and tasted great. As a dessert, we had the chocolate pie which was dense, rich, and topped with a huge dollop of whipped topping. I really liked the atmosphere of the place, loud roaring 20s style with jazz playing. Plus I kept finding myself checking out the mural on the wall. Try it for yourself - but worth the fight to get a table.

I've heard "Lunch at The Modern" so many times, one thing I was absolutely going to do during this…read moretrip to NYC was lunch at The Modern, and I'm so glad I did. Located at MoMA, The Modern is a 2 Michelin star restaurant hosting both fine dining, showcasing Chef Thomas Allan's cuisine, and a more casual dining experience in The Bar Room. The restaurant is gorgeous and has a giant glass wall overlooking MoMA's Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden, a lovely view. There is an abridged tasting menu of 3 courses, but we opted for the full chef's menu cause we didn't want to miss their signature "eggs on eggs on eggs" and after the supplemental charge, the price was close enough. - Hiramasa and sugar snap peas/crispy ham and cheese--simple and delicious, with the hiramasa being light and fresh and the ham and cheese providing a deeply savory contrast - Chilled lobster, shiso, and green radish--the lobster was cold and sweet but as a personal preference, I don't really enjoy bitter flavors and the slice of lemon under the radish threw it off a bit - Eggs on eggs on eggs--words cannot adequately describe the unctuousness of this dish, it's like eating rich, buttery velvet on a crispy, fluffy log of brioche. As a bonus, they bring you an extra toast to mop up all the tasty bits - Pumpkin seed sourdough and cultured butter--okay I totally didn't know this was meant to be eaten with the next dish so given total lack of self control in the face of pillowy fresh bread and perhaps the smoothest butter on the planet, I may or may not have eaten it all before the trout showed up... they were nice enough to give us more :') - Sea trout with clams and saffron shellfish broth--the fish was cooked to literal perfection and the clam and saffron sauce enhanced everything even more. This fights with the chicken dish for spot #2 in my favorites of this meal - Heritage chicken, provençal asparagus, vin jaune--this reminds me of the stuffed chicken from Per Se and was cooked just as well. The vin jaune sauce was slightly nutty with an incredibly rich flavor and also went well with the bread - Lamb saddle, romanesco, and lemon poached dates--for some reason I thought the chicken was the final savory course and I did not pace myself at all and was so full by this point. The lamb was tender and the date was a wonderful bite though - Wild strawberries and cacao--I can't remember what was all in this but I loved the little wild strawberries as they were like delicious strawberry gummies - Dark chocolate cremeux, meyer lemon, and espresso--delicious with interesting flavors, I haven't had many lemon, chocolate, and coffee combinations - Mignardises of raspberry, lemon coconut, cherry cheesecake--only one I tried was the cherry cheesecake bonbon but my husband ate 'em all so they must've been good lol The MVP of this meal was the melon lemonade mocktail, made with honeydew, jasmine, and pandan. Might be the most perfect drink for me ever made because it was melony with a subtle floral note from the pandan and jasmine, and only lightly sweet and tart, everything I love. Sooooo good! Service was pretty good up until we wanted to pay, and for some reason it became really difficult to find someone to close us out. We waited almost 20 minutes between the mignardises and finally being able to pay, even actively looking around trying to flag someone down. Despite The Modern not being the most innovative of meals, it's easily one of my all time favorites. I definitely prefer food that's executed well over food that's pushing boundaries, and may be back any time I'm in town.

Hands down the best restaurant experience my wife and I have ever had…read more We wanted to treat ourselves for our anniversary, and I had recently watched their Bon Appétit behind-the-scenes video. Their entire operation seemed so incredibly focused, meticulous, and inspiring that we knew we had to try it. We started with the Iberico ham and the hiramasa tart, both incredible. Then came the chilled lobster, which was super fresh and refreshing, served with an amazing sauce that made me want to lick the plate clean. Every dish felt refined without being overly complicated. The service was extraordinary. You can immediately tell the front-of-house team is operating at an extremely high level and is aware of everything happening in the room at all times. At one point, my wife stepped away to use the restroom just as they were about to serve the first course. Without saying a word or making anything awkward, the staff simply looped around a couple of times until she returned. The moment she sat down, they resumed service seamlessly without missing a beat. That level of awareness and professionalism really stood out to us. Next came the rye bread, which was fresh and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, paired with delicious butter. Then we had the sea bass with crab, which was phenomenal and one of my favorite dishes of the night. But the true star of the show for me was the lamb. My wife and I grill lamb racks often, and I genuinely had no idea this level of perfection existed. It was cooked flawlessly, and the sauce was absolutely incredible. If I was not in public, I probably would have been scraping the bone clean :) Big shoutout to one of the staff members, Stephanie, who completely made our night. We were telling her how excited we were to finally visit after watching the Bon Appétit video, and she casually asked if we wanted a tour of the kitchen after dinner. Honestly, I thought she was joking at first. Then she came back after dessert and reminded us. Even after paying the bill, I still thought maybe she was kidding, but then she walked over smiling and said, "Let's go." My wife and I were completely geeked out. Seeing the kitchen in person was surreal. It was exactly like the video: super meticulous, orders being called out and repeated in unison, everyone moving with total precision and purpose. You could see the Omega clock, the Michelin stars on the wall, and just the overall culture of excellence behind everything they do. We were honestly in awe. Thank you again, Stephanie. That experience meant so much to us. Every time we visit a fine dining restaurant for a special occasion, I always wonder whether it will truly live up to the hype. Some completely miss the mark. Some are very good. But none have delivered on every aspect the way The Modern did. This is officially our favorite restaurant in the world.
