Thought this place is cliche, midtown busy section, but it is a very cool and chill atmosphere! Loved the service and very delicious cocoktail! You don't have to dress up too much to feel fit in, such a great place to visit after a busy work day. The rooftop view is amazing, we watched the sunset, it is breath taking! Definitely recommend this rooftop!

While in NY I had to visit a bar with breathtaking views and this one delivered just that. We had some cocktails while enjoying amazing skyscrapers. The bartender was friendly and the staff were nice. Love the location and atmosphere. Next time I will definitely try their food selection.

Pretty simple stuff here. If you're looking for a nice rooftop bar with music and sleek designs This is your spot! The rooftop is open enough to have a small group in your party along with a solo date if you choose to go that route. I don't believe they have food and I did not try the food if they did have it. The servers were friendly and the bartenders were pretty attendant, even though it was a slow night. I would come back here.

I attended an event here, and the drinks and service were wonderful! And the views are GORGEOUS and you can go outside on the roof deck. There's a great view of the Empire State Building. The bathrooms are big and clean.

Came to Skylark with my colleagues who were visiting from India. we had shishito peppers that were tasty and some chicken dumplings that were ok. Service is great and the drinks are stiff so make sure you put back a few while here. It's a cozy rooftop and the music is nice would recommend stopping in for a visit.

My babe and I and was strolling through the city on Monday night and I noticed skylark so I suggested we go check it out. Security was very polite and recommended we go up; there's 3 levels I think including the rooftop. The second level had a few people there which was surprising since it was Monday after all. The decor is nice and the view is great with plenty of seating. We sat by the bar since tables were full for and we didn't reserve. I ordered the Reisling and a guiness for my babe. It's a low key spot with good music but not too high, great for conversations as Security mentioned. The vibe was good. We checked out the rooftop but it doesn't have a bar but you can bring your beverages and food up there. My babes love it now and what's to go back. The bartender John was a li'l off-putting and sarcastic I guess because, he gave me a dirty glass and i brought it to his attention but W.E. I would recommend it for the view or a date night. There's a light bites menu. Reservation is best. $$$ cocktails. $18 wine with a low pour. My second cleaned glass was lower than that of the Pic.

Gorgeous rooftop located in walking distance from Time Square. Great place to take visitors to get some great views of the city. I came here on a Tuesday night and it was pretty busy with a ton of locals. Score! Love finding a non-tourist hot spot. My friend and I grabbed a drink and took in the views. The menu looked amazing but we didn't try anything. Next time!

Docking two stars because : I got door-checked and denied entry for wearing a short-sleeved shirt. Borrowing a jacket from a friend, I went up and immediately noticed half a dozen different guys in similar dress code (short-sleeved, non-collared shirts). One of them was even in a cut tanktop and wearing a bandana. I'm guessing that either they similarly covered themselves with a jacket prior to getting checked at the door or the bouncer was profiling me (given I was the only person of my ethnicity amongst the aforementioned underdressed guys who was refused entry). Drinks were actually very good, I personally liked the '76 and the "Pearfect Pair". Drinks ranged from $20-24 and food was around $18-26. Ambiance is as expected of a rooftop bar. Noisy, extremely dark, modern vibe, beautiful views. It's not easy to have a conversation inside. Service is efficient though not especially friendly. Bathrooms are very clean, serviced, and single-occupant, mixed gender. Probably wouldn't come back due to the bad experience at the door, but if so, I'd dress better (wear a collared shirt).

Are you kidding me !? I cannot believe that a place like this exists in the middle of midtown. Sipping a drink on an outdoor deck while looking at the Empire State Building as the sun goes down- perfection! They also have indoor areas, which we did not get to because it was so nice out, but I'm sure they are great spaces in the colder months ! When you enter skylark, it seems like you go on a little maze to get up to the actual bar but BOY IS IT WORTH IT! The outside portion isn't huge, but they have done a good job with seating. Amazing views, delicious drinks. We also got the charcuterie and it was the perfect amount for 2-3 people. I would suggest making a reservation because it does seem to fill up quickly.

I had to check out one last venue in New York City even though it was drizzling. As our trip comes to a close, we had to muster up our energy for one last tour of Gotham! It was well worth it! The vibes were totally killer, and we had a really good time. Stunning views of the city at night, like something straight out of the movies! My goodness, how didn't I realize this city was going to be so magical! Perhaps only God knows or maybe it was the perfect time to come since it got pretty crazy during the pandemic years.. but regardless, it was the perfect end to an absolutely memorable visit.

Can I bring my 1 year old for 4:30 reservation?

To help create a fun environment for all of our guests we do require all guests to be at least 21 years of age to enter.

    Can I bring my 2 kinds 11 and 16?

Hello, We are a 21 and over establishment and unfortunately, cannot accommodate children.…

Is this place good for a 30th birthday celebration?

    Yeah, I would say so.

Is it weird to wear a nice dress (cocktail dress with heels) here? I wanna dress nice to celebrate my birthday but I don't wanna look too dressy!

I am not sure if they have a dress code but most of the ladies had nice dresses but some wore the office attire and some with heels , but not all the guys had jackets.

Is it only 21+ at night or can a 20 year old come in? We really want to experience a rooftop restaurant at night?

    21 after like 4PM

So this is a 21 and over restaurant?

    Yes!

    Can I enter even though I'm 19?

    No,21 only

Hi I'm visiting from Europe I'm 19 would I be able to get a table?

No you need to be 21

Is this place ideal for an intimate dinner without all the loud noise?

No it's not , very noisy

I don't drink but would like to go there for the view and the food, would that be a good idea or no? Do they have spirit free drinks?

Absolutely! The view and ambience inside is worth it!

Do you need reservations for seating outside on the rooftop? Going with a party of 4 on Saturday early evening (6ish).

Generally there are spaces that you can occupy if you are going early evening . Having said that the reservations are free for 8 and below no of people

    Casual or dress to impress?

    dress to impress!

What's the average price for each person?

No Cover. Just expensive drinks as mentioned in the reviews

Do we need to make a reservation if we only want to drink at the bar?

It's better if you have one. You can walk in and there is standing room, but, if it is filled, you won't get in :)

Do they ask the ID at the entrance or is it allowed to go insieme being under 21?

We went on a Thursday evening and were carded before entering.

Does the Skylark have a happy hour?If so, what time does it start?

Mario- Thank you for reaching out with your question! THE SKYLARK does not offer any specific happy hour as we believe every hour should be happy!…

Can I make a reservation evening hours for the rooftop with my son joining me being age 16?

Yes you can make reservations at Skylark through Opentable. As for your son being 16, I'm not sure how that works as it's generally 21 and over.

This will be my first time here?what could I expect of this place?

Make sure you make reservations to the rooftop. Bar is open but it's inside. During the weekend they usually have a DJ. If you go. Best time to go is sunset or at night when you have a view of the city lights. It's AMAZING! Rooftop is small and…

What kind of music do they play on Saturday night?

They play a mix of just about everything. There's literally something for everyone. Its one of the things i love most about this place.

During Afterwork hours - is there an enforced dress code? for men and women? Having a group gathering afterwork today, and one our colleagues has a cast/pins in foot and ankle and cannot wear slacks/jeans. only sportswear/active wear

One co-worker was turned away for wearing flip flops

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

Service was good. We had the fried chicken Benedict and the crab cake Benedict. I was a bit confused when I saw that each Benedict dish only had one poached egg - shouldn't it always be two? I guess that's shrinkflation (plus inflation) for you. That bent said, the crab cake was actually really big and filling. The side of potatoes were really delicious. Would I come back for brunch again? Very unlikely. But, it does seem like a pretty "safe choice" if you need a last minute reservation for a group.
