Pretty simple stuff here. If you're looking for a nice rooftop bar with music and sleek designs This is your spot! The rooftop is open enough to have a small group in your party along with a solo date if you choose to go that route. I don't believe they have food and I did not try the food if they did have it. The servers were friendly and the bartenders were pretty attendant, even though it was a slow night. I would come back here.

I attended an event here, and the drinks and service were wonderful! And the views are GORGEOUS and you can go outside on the roof deck. There's a great view of the Empire State Building. The bathrooms are big and clean.

Came to Skylark with my colleagues who were visiting from India. we had shishito peppers that were tasty and some chicken dumplings that were ok. Service is great and the drinks are stiff so make sure you put back a few while here. It's a cozy rooftop and the music is nice would recommend stopping in for a visit.

My babe and I and was strolling through the city on Monday night and I noticed skylark so I suggested we go check it out. Security was very polite and recommended we go up; there's 3 levels I think including the rooftop. The second level had a few people there which was surprising since it was Monday after all. The decor is nice and the view is great with plenty of seating. We sat by the bar since tables were full for and we didn't reserve. I ordered the Reisling and a guiness for my babe. It's a low key spot with good music but not too high, great for conversations as Security mentioned. The vibe was good. We checked out the rooftop but it doesn't have a bar but you can bring your beverages and food up there. My babes love it now and what's to go back. The bartender John was a li'l off-putting and sarcastic I guess because, he gave me a dirty glass and i brought it to his attention but W.E. I would recommend it for the view or a date night. There's a light bites menu. Reservation is best. $$$ cocktails. $18 wine with a low pour. My second cleaned glass was lower than that of the Pic.

Gorgeous rooftop located in walking distance from Time Square. Great place to take visitors to get some great views of the city. I came here on a Tuesday night and it was pretty busy with a ton of locals. Score! Love finding a non-tourist hot spot. My friend and I grabbed a drink and took in the views. The menu looked amazing but we didn't try anything. Next time!

Docking two stars because : I got door-checked and denied entry for wearing a short-sleeved shirt. Borrowing a jacket from a friend, I went up and immediately noticed half a dozen different guys in similar dress code (short-sleeved, non-collared shirts). One of them was even in a cut tanktop and wearing a bandana. I'm guessing that either they similarly covered themselves with a jacket prior to getting checked at the door or the bouncer was profiling me (given I was the only person of my ethnicity amongst the aforementioned underdressed guys who was refused entry). Drinks were actually very good, I personally liked the '76 and the "Pearfect Pair". Drinks ranged from $20-24 and food was around $18-26. Ambiance is as expected of a rooftop bar. Noisy, extremely dark, modern vibe, beautiful views. It's not easy to have a conversation inside. Service is efficient though not especially friendly. Bathrooms are very clean, serviced, and single-occupant, mixed gender. Probably wouldn't come back due to the bad experience at the door, but if so, I'd dress better (wear a collared shirt).

Are you kidding me !? I cannot believe that a place like this exists in the middle of midtown. Sipping a drink on an outdoor deck while looking at the Empire State Building as the sun goes down- perfection! They also have indoor areas, which we did not get to because it was so nice out, but I'm sure they are great spaces in the colder months ! When you enter skylark, it seems like you go on a little maze to get up to the actual bar but BOY IS IT WORTH IT! The outside portion isn't huge, but they have done a good job with seating. Amazing views, delicious drinks. We also got the charcuterie and it was the perfect amount for 2-3 people. I would suggest making a reservation because it does seem to fill up quickly.

Loved everything about The Skylark! The views were incredible, service was amazing and the food and drinks were delicious! Highly recommend!

I had to check out one last venue in New York City even though it was drizzling. As our trip comes to a close, we had to muster up our energy for one last tour of Gotham! It was well worth it! The vibes were totally killer, and we had a really good time. Stunning views of the city at night, like something straight out of the movies! My goodness, how didn't I realize this city was going to be so magical! Perhaps only God knows or maybe it was the perfect time to come since it got pretty crazy during the pandemic years.. but regardless, it was the perfect end to an absolutely memorable visit.

A stunning rooftop in Midtown Manhattan just off Times Square. You will need a reservation to enter before taking the elevator 30 stories up. Once there, you can request to be seated at a table overlooking the Empire State Building or you can walk up to the top floor where seating is first come-first serve, but the view of the sunset over the Hudson river is lovely and the food service is the same. You will need to order drinks at the bar on your own though. Either way, you can have the best of both an indoor experience with views and an open air experience with views/sunset. The food is in small plate style but very tasty and plenty for dinner to share. The two of us actually had too much food with the watermelon & feta salad, burrata bites, duck spring rolls, and beef sliders. The sliders were incredible! The vibe is somewhat "influencer" but definitely a great way to enjoy affordable, great food and sweeping views of the city.

Beautiful room and view. Staff was great. The drinks and food were wonderful. I'd definitely go back

The ambience, drinks, service, and the space were all superb. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the drinks were amazing. I'm not a cocktail person but I loved the drinks that I had--probably the best cocktails that I've ever had. Plenty of seatings both indoor and outdoor. We very much enjoyed the warm weather with some summer breeze and, of course, the view of the city. Would love to come back!

    Yeah, I would say so.

I am not sure if they have a dress code but most of the ladies had nice dresses but some wore the office attire and some with heels , but not all the guys had jackets.

Absolutely! The view and ambience inside is worth it!

It's better if you have one. You can walk in and there is standing room, but, if it is filled, you won't get in :)

Do they ask the ID at the entrance or is it allowed to go insieme being under 21?

We went on a Thursday evening and were carded before entering.

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

Easy to find if you know what you're looking for, if you arrive right at 5pm on a cold weeknight in the winter, you'll easily find a table or seat at the bar. Very cute space, cozy like everyone says, but nothing mind blowing. Music is moderately loud. The menu in early February still included their winter holiday cocktails. I was more interested in the apple sage house-made fermented soda, and it was pretty good-large glass, flavorful and not too sweet. My friend enjoyed her pomegranate version. The space started to fill up at around 5:30. Service was polite when you could get it, but generally very inattentive, even before it got busy. It honestly didn't feel too different from anu other very nice NYC bar, in terms of menu selection, prices, ambiance and service. Maybe that's standard for NYC speakeasies, but the places I frequented in other cities were more fun and felt more worth the price. I'll still give another NYC spot a try, but not coming back to Thyme.

We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation.
