I'm so torn on how to review my visit at Spicy Thai II a few days ago. Service for sure 5 stars. Food : sushi I would give 3.5, cheese Rangoons 5 stars and then my entre was not what I completely expected. I got Kung Pao Chicken , but got it with steak instead. I would give this dish 1 star. It's not at all like the Kung Paos I've had before. It was tasted like creamy peanut butter as the sauce which was way way way too much. Not sure if it's supposed to taste like that , but I couldn't finish it. I wouldn't let this stop me from going back because of a poor choice on my end.

Food quality is bad for what you pay for. Servers don't even speak the English language well. Making it difficult to order. Ambience is usually too loud when busy or there's a stressful vibe about the owners. The new ownership is not great. Bad deals and does not treat employees nicely. Menu is too big. Service is slow and rushed. If you want extra of anything it cost extra. Delivery is limited to 5 mil radius with 25$ minimum. Wait time for food orders is long whether for pick up or dine in or delivery. Overall this place has gone downhill with the new owners.

    Pad See Ew

Pad See Ew was not good. Rubbery noodles. The sauce was not flavorful. Not much chicken. The pad Thai I got last time was ok, but this was disappointing. The order was delivered quickly and correctly. Can't say I enjoyed the meal.

Always thought South Park Hill to be a desert for Asian food, but was pleasantly surprised by the local favorite Spicy Thai and Sushi. Despite the inconspicuous appearance, the Thai food and sushi here were as tasty as many other more notable Thai restaurants and sushi places in town. Besides these, their Chinese entrees were also quite good. Certainly a hidden gem for the neighborhood and worth a try when you are around next time. It is right by Dang Soft Serve Ice Cream.

The place is very nice and clean, the food also delicious, we order special roll(sumo roll), jalapeno chicken and their spicy edamame and fried rice tasty and smoky. Polite and friendy service. Love to come back!!

Absolutely delicious lunch today while visiting family from out of town! I tried hot sake for the first time and can't wait to get it again! My husband had the Fried Rice which is one of his favorites! I love curries so I tried the Panang Curry with tofu, medium spicy. It's probably one of the best curries I've had anywhere!!! Will definitely be back next time we're in town!

You order off the menu with an erasable pen which is very smart. Many Japanese restaurants (especially when ordering sashimi, nigiri, rolls) use a ton of paper for their orders. We did have a waitress but the staff helps one another running drinks and food. The food was very good, fresh and I'd definitely go back. My suggestions would be bringing the dishes out over time. We received almost everything at once and the table was very full. The bathrooms are part of Stanley and are fine. They are usually clean. The parking is shared with all the Stanley Marketplace so it depends on time/day as to how easy or hard it is to find a space.

The yellowtail had the perfect kick, but the ebi nigiri was the real star for me--so good. Such a cute little spot for a casual date or a food hall crawl. We also grabbed mochi to go and it was the perfect sweet ending. Already planning my next visit because I definitely want to try more of the menu.

What a cute little place!!…read more It was late in the evening and I was getting hangry. I was craving ramen and Neko came up during my Yelp research. They were open late, so we decided to go. The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.

The restaurant sits on the corner right off Colfax, and it's kind of easy to miss, but it's nice. They do have their own parking lot, which is helpful since Colfax parking can be hectic. Inside, the restaurant is quite small but nicely decorated and has a cozy feel. Overall, the experience wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The restaurant was very quiet there was only one other table besides us, yet the service felt very scattered. The server was kind but wasn't necessarily on top of things. For an appetizer, I ordered the tuna tartare. Although the portion was nice, it wasn't served with any chips or anything, which I thought was quite odd. It did have good flavor, but eating tuna tartare with a fork wasn't what I expected. I ordered the sashimi sampler and was quite disappointed, not only with the size of the fish but also because they served three different types of tuna. For a sashimi sampler priced at almost $40, that seemed crazy. Usually there's red snapper, yellowtail, or something other than just tuna. My boyfriend ordered the tankatsu, and it had no flavor and was very dry. I told myself I'll have to go back and give this place another try because I had high hopes, especially since their other restaurant never disappoints.

You won't find fancy sushi here or fusion cooking here, but rather tasty home cooked style classic Japanese dishes. Dishes like Japanese curry, oyakodon, and other donburi and noodle dishes. Having been here multiple times, I cannot recommend this place enough for a homey style meal. No joke, each meal here makes you feel warm inside, like a good home cooked meal. It's comparable to many meals I've had traveling through out real Japan. The flavors are simple, but each dish is well prepared while emphasizing conform over fancy preparation. You just cannot go wrong with any dish here, though I'm partial to the donburi, the green tea soba, and the hot pot. And if the meal is not enough, there is a beautiful garden to enjoy. If you catch it at the right time, the cherry blossom in the spring is beautiful and transport you right to Japan. Overall, Domo is a place that I'm always down to visit. We started with the cucumber salad and shrimp shumai. The cucumber salad was refreshing, but the shrimp shumai had a strong fishy smell and taste that didn't seem very fresh--I couldn't eat more than one. For my entrée, I ordered the nabeyaki soup with ramen noodles and chicken, and it was excellent. The soy-based broth was rich and flavorful without being too salty, and the ramen noodles were cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of bite. Overall, Domo offers a really special atmosphere and a memorable dining experience. I wouldn't recommend the shrimp shumai, but I'd definitely come back to try another ramen flavor, and to see the cats again.

Considering the only other US location is in California, I was surprised and knew this would be my opportunity to try it! The aesthetic is modern & elevated with Japanese wooden features. I got 3 classic dishes which was just the right amount of food. I honestly recommend coming with a group to try more items since you know everything will be delicious. The Yellowtail Jalapeño is a signature dish; the yellowtail was delicate & buttery and the citrus soy with the bight of jalapeño made each bite clean, bright, with some subtle heat. I did not expect the Rock Shrimp Tempura to be that good! The shrimp was lightly battered & fried but the sauces were the highlights! Their creamy spicy is a very well-done spicy mayo but the butter ponzu was unreal! Super addictive, rich, and unlike any sauce I've had before. Shout out to my waitress for suggesting getting both sauces on the side rather than lathered on the shrimp, which also kept it crispy. Last but certainly not least is the famous Black Cod! The fish is super buttery and flaky; there were some caramelized edges from the miso glaze which added so much depth & richness to the bite. It's a good balance of sweetness, savoriness, umami that is bound to be good. Some of courses were delicious and some were mediocre. We spent almost $700 for a party of four. The situation that needs the most improvement was the pace of the meal. The courses were separated by a 20-30-minute wait time. Considering that the courses were very small and contained 5-6 pieces for a party of four... that equates to a little more than a small bite every 20-30 minutes. The dinner took 2.5 hours to develop, and we were honestly still hungry by the end. The waiter started asking us if were "still hungry" at about the fifth courses. By the end, we felt awkward in asking for more. The wagyu beef was particularly disappointing as the beef was somewhat chewy, lacking taste and small. Waiters seemed to be near their capacity of workload. Didn't really take the time to serve, walk you thru the menus, keep the service moving or even gauge your level of satisfaction. We ordered dessert to celebrate the birthday. Apart from a small chocolate plaque on the dessert that said, "happy birthday", there was no attempt to celebrate the occasion as other less exclusive restaurants do... no "happy birthday" wish, no courtesy dessert... nothing special. The best part of this meal was by far, the young couple that accompanied us. Friendly advice: if you want to impress a client with something the feels exclusive... this may be the place. If you are looking for amazing food, being pampered and feeling your money was "well spent", try another place. I don't plan to visit this restaurant soon.
