I never write bad reviews, but this time I had to. The service was horrible. Just to get my water refilled I waited literally 5 minutes. It wasn't like the place was packed with people. It was only my family and another group of 5 people on a another table. I tipped around 13% due to the horrible service. When the waitress came to pick up the check, she insisted us to tip her more. After explaining to her why i tipped her 13%, she was in denial and gave us the check again and told us to tip more. But since I didn't tip more, she told my family and I "if you don't like the service, just order take out next time". read more

There isn't exactly a plethora of Thai restaurants on Cape Ann, so this was a real find. We've been going here when on vacation, about three times a year. It never fails to satisfy, although over time the portions have become smaller and they are charging extra for rice now. Plenty of vegetarian options, as well as specials and the traditional dishes. As mentioned - the Thai iced tea is fabulous! Try the spicy carrot salad (it's not that spicy, but has a great texture and sauce). Pad Thai is tasty, as most everything else is. Honestly, we've never had a bad meal here. I've never seen it crowded. Over the past couple years they've added a small grocery section which has some pretty interesting items. I hope they are getting enough business to stay around forever, so pass the word - this is a very good restaurant! read more

Used to love this place but seems to have gone downhill upon change in management. Prices went up, $5 corkage fee for wine, and quality has deteriorated. Been here three times in the last few months. My mango fried rice was so bland it was inedible, same for the pad Thai. Tonight's mango curry tastes ok, though cold, and I suspect it is not gluten free as I was assured. Last time we were there they did not want to serve us because they were "closing the kitchen in half an hour". Service has deteriorated with the food, new waitresses have been hired and our attentive servers have vanished. Bottom line: try another restaurant. Will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

We ordered for the three of us tonight a variety of dishes containing vegetables and chicken--about $50 in entrees. Unfortunately, the vegetables used in our meals were rotten. The carrots had dark brown cores, the broccoli and mushrooms had dark brown spots, and the spinach was rotten, too. This is unacceptable. Such low quality should not be allowed and we feel ripped off. Why would a restaurant serve such rubbish? They should have said that they were out of the ingredients instead and offered dishes they had fresh ingredients for. We ordered here about 5 times in the past. Never again. read more

I love Spice Thai Kitchen! The drunken noodles and Basil Tofu Fried Rice are my absolute favorite dishes and I could eat them every week if I could! Any of their curry selections are to die for and the vegetable tempura and scallion pancakes are drool worthy! The service is prompt and friendly and the food always arrives on time! I've never had a bad meal and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. They recently expanded to a bigger dining area and they now have a retail store too that is really neat! read more

Prices a bit steep. Service is fine. Interior is great. They even sell some Korean snacks and accessories in the middle of the restaurant. Sounds weird but it actually works - doesn't look too strange. I like the menu with all its varieties. Food tasted spectacular. read more

The food was good, for what it was, but lacked those extra ingredients that could take this place from "run of the mill, turn and burn" to a place that stands out. I try to be fair in Yelp reviews, not giving everyplace 5 stars that I happen to like, but this one deserves it. I've been coming here for years, and its always consistent. I mostly stick to the same dishes, so I can't vouch for much besides the classics.... and the pad thai is amazing. Everyone who works there is very nice. Sometimes, when its busy, they look very under staffed, but thats part of the unpredictable restaurant world. Sometimes they can only have a few tables in use on a Saturday night at 7, and sometimes they're packed on a Thursday night. You never really know. I usually do take out. read more

I am so picky about Thai and Chinese food that I almost never go out and eat this type of food. But, when you find a place that is so good and so fresh, it's hard not to get really excited about it. All I can say is, this place has the best Thai food on the North Shore and beyond. Everything must be made to order because it tastes so fresh. The sauces and side dishes are tasty and awesome. The apps are really really good and presented nicely. The beef actually tastes like premium beef, not like some places where it's like rubber and tasteless! Chicken or shrimp dinners are delicious and the texture of the food is perfect. This is high end Thai food at great prices, the service is excellent and I love the quietness and peacefulness of the restaurant. You can sit, enjoy great food and enjoy the company that you are with. It is also nice that you can head out after dinner and go for a drink at one of the many watering holes in Ipswich. Just a fabulous place, never been disappointed, always consistent and have NOT found better! read more

This place is horrible. They took forever to bring us water. Then, once I ordered a beer, they never came back to see if I wanted another. We asked for more water. Did not get it. It was jazz night and they put us at the only table that had no view (there were many other tables open). The waitress never came back to ask if the food was ok. Terrible service. read more

There really isn't anything bad to write about this restaurant, but I do have one disappointment. It is really clean and mostly tastefully decorated (the Christmas ornaments are interesting) and very relaxing to eat at, with modern Asian music playing in the background. We were the only table at 3:00. The meals are wonderfully presented and pretty to look at. My wife ordered a Korean dish, Bim Bam Bab with Tofu. Like with my dish, the vegetables were cooked al dente and served with a fried egg. Tasty, a little oily but a fine dish. My meal was the Angry Fisherman. I know why he was angry. Although tasty, it had only two average shrimp (overcooked), two scallops about 3/4 inch dia (that didn't really seem to be scallops, as the meat didn't possess the "grain" that scallops have, but appeared to be cut plugs of something else) that were over cooked and quite chewy. The four small pieces of squid, inch or so by 1/2 inch, were too tough to chew. Our waitress didn't return until we were finished eating and laughed twice when I complained about the lack of fish and quality of what was served, exiting with no comment. We would return here if we are in the area (a two hour drive for us). It is a charming place but I will be cautious about what I order, especially anything with seafood. We really enjoyed the food here. We had takeout after checking out other menus in the area. The drunken noodles were decent- not too salty, plenty of veggies. Above average Rangoon. Good Masaman curry too. Our one complaint was the lack of rice that came with the curry. It seemed disproportionate for what you paid and the amt of curry you get. If the menu said it came with a small rice we may have ordered more to start. Otherwise, the staff seemed friendly when we ordered and we'd probably go back. read more

This is the best Thai we have had since coming back from California. I wish their sauce had a little less oil in it, but we loved the flavor level and the spice. Note, come prepared - it is BYOB and the place can be a little empty. A little more expensive then we are used to for a Thai place but the portions are HUGE. We had dinner at STK. This was our first time at STK . Party of four all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. There are lots of interesting menu items. Mango fish was delicious. Pad thai and a chicken dish was also really good. We highly recommend this place and I think it will be a regular on our list for local Thai. read more

I used to go to their Melrose location and was so happy to find that there is a location in Ipswich as well. I have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and hot and the quality is very consistent. I have trouble trying new things because the Drunken Noodles are SOOO good, however the Gao Pao Gai is also excellent, as is the Chicken and Beef Satay. read more
