We stopped in a SpeedZone back around the Fourth of July, & although we had fun, I kind of felt shortchanged at the end of the ordeal. We paid around $20.00 for two riders on Track 1, which I thought was a tad expensive. Compared to the other tracks in town, the various tracks here are very short. Because the tracks are so short, you really can't race anyone. Given that there aren't any straightaways you can't really pass anyone without bumping them. The portion of the track we rode felt like it should be one part of a much larger track. We only came to SpeedZone because some of the other spiral tracks we passed were crowded, which is a concern with COVID. Speaking of COVID, I didn't necessarily feel safe. No one was sanitizing Karts between rides. Further, there also should have been plexiglass between the lines, which to their credit did have 6ft markers on the ground. As for the staff, they were wearing masks, but they would pull them down to speak to the riders, which defeats the purpose. I just didn't feel like SpeedZone was taking the pandemic seriously. read more

We would like to send a shout to David on track 3 and Charlie on track 2. We bought the kids to the Smokies for a week and stopped by here three times. Our kids loved it. David took the time to explain the track to my son as he was trying the fast track for the first time and kept a watchful eye on everyone. Charlie saw we were a big group and offered to take pictures of our group. My older son loves the Xtreme racing. The two guys were were a lot of fun too. Not sure why so many bad reviews but my son and I had a blast and left totally satisfied. You can't beat getting to ride three different tracks for 20 bucks and each one lasted over 5 minutes each probably close to 7 minutes. I'm 6-4 & 250 lbs and was able to keep up with the others so I'd say the carts were quick. read more

Family of 4, we purchased the park hopper for $29 a person. We went to all three locations which are all really close to each other. The slick track at speed zone was our favorite, laser port and speed zone offers the best classic track, the Extreme racing location only offers the classic track at the back , and not the more advertised track at this location as part of the hopper pass. Our first ride of the day, and some idiot worker walked onto the track to "slow" the race down instead the fool STOPPED the race. Coming off the hill in a curve in my opinion isn't the proper spot to "slow" a race. The worker only says well this is how we slowed the race. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! They advertised that they had 4 tracks and they only have 3. We paid $100 for 4 kids to go 5 times which was fine but then it rained for .5 seconds and they closed 2/3 tracks and wouldn't re open them because "the track had to dry" meanwhile the 1 track not closed was the only one completely in the open so I don't understand that logic. The place was closing 1 1/2 hrs after the rain happened and we overheard some of the workers saying they won't re open it just because it's close to closing anyways. The place literally right next to it re opened when the rain stopped and was way more efficient GO TO THE ONE NEXT TO IT DONT GO TO THIS ONE. read more

This has been the worst experience of my life. The crew had been completely arrogant while talking to us. One of them was playing ball on the track, when he was supposed to help us buckle up. We had hardly been around one lap on the track, when we were guided back to the pit. We thought there was a technical difficulty, but he yelled at us and asked us to get out of the property. When we asked an explanation about what had happened, the manager blatantly refused to speak to us and resolve the issue. We paid for three rides each and had been completely robbed off the money. Pretty fun experience. The go cart tracks were a bit lackluster compared to other go cart tracks in the area, but the other main attraction rides such as the Slingshot and two person Zipline were a lot of fun. Even the arcade was more fun than other arcades I've been to in this city. Most of the employees were polite and made fun jokes. Especially the person operating the Zipline. He alone made the Zipline the most fun attraction. The people operating the go-carts at the time were a bit rude though. That shouted instructions you couldn't hear of the go-carts and got angry when you couldn't hear them or misunderstood. They were a bit impatient. Also don't come to this place without planning on spending over $100 for just a few people. The three main attractions are $40, another $25 for the three go-cart tracks and $10 at the arcade, then $10 if you want to ride the mechanical bull. Overall, I would say I enjoyed the big attractions, arcade, and most of the employees, but I wouldn't come again for the go-carts. The employees manning the go-carts were a bit impatient and the actual tracks weren't nearly as good as other places in the area. read more

Do. Not. Go. Here. My group waited in line 30 minutes for go karts, told we were next, then when it was our turn they said the track was closed. When we asked for a partial refund we were told "no refunds for any reason whatsoever." Based on other reviews stating people received refunds, the employee obviously lied to us. There are MANY other fun places on the same road and I highly recommend trying one of those instead of this place or any affiliated locations. The BOGO is great, however, having to wait for nearly an hour while one person refuels all the karts is ridiculous! Such an inefficient way to manage the tracks. Hire more staff or get enough karts to rotate so you don't keep paying customers waiting so long. Poor customer service. read more

Spent 50 dollars and was told we could do anything on the list. Waited in two lines for 1 hour the second line we got to the front, Let one group skip us so that our group can race each other, and then they told us it was closed just before it was our turn to get on. Then we asked for a refund because we wasted a hour in line waiting for something unavailable. We were told "we don't do refunds whatsoever". Don't promote what's not available. There's nothing worse than waiting in the heat to be refused service by an "pit team" that was already taking their sweet time to let ppl on and off the carts. read more

We had a great experience with our three boys, great value for money, we were at the track for almost 2 1/2 hours, they didn't have to wait long to drive. On one of the tracks it looked like the carts were brand new. Also very friendly staff who were definitely safety conscious. if there was a zero star option i would choose it. i was simply profiled because of my color. i paid 35 dollars for 5 rides and was only able to use 3 of my rides. when i tried to ask them why they refused to tell me and called the cops. from there i explained the situation to the officer and there was nothing they could do so i had to leave. read more

My girlfriend and I only rode track 1 (multiple levels) and track 3 (slick) but man was it a blast. The lines were short compared some of the other places and the staff seemed nice and safety conscious. Had a great time here! Brought me and my better half and our 5 kiddos ages 8,9,11,12,13 and they all loved it! Did track number two and the two little kids rode with the adults in the double karts. My son got stuck on a hill (inexperienced karter) and only went around twice :( so we talked to the nice lady who worked at the front desk and she let him and his sister go again for free! High School aged kids are running track but kept an eye on everyone to make sure there was no excessive rubbing/ racing. Loved this place and will go back again! read more

We tried almost every go cart racing track here in Gatlinburg and this was one of the better ones. It cost $20 for me and my boyfriend to have 1 turn on any track and we decided to ride "The Slick" track, Speed Zone's fastest track. Was a little discouraged when I saw how small the track was but after actually driving the cart on it, I'm glad it was so small because it was crazy fast and scared me half to death. If you're looking for a fast track and adrenaline rush, this is the place for you! Staff was averagely friendly and overall the place we kept up. It has the most disrespectful staff. We had very bad experience with everything... Part of the track was made of wood and the kart jumps on the track... The second track has blind slopes no one knows whats in front, if someone struck in the blind spot the person behind them can run over them.... I spent $250 dollars at Speed Zone and paid $160 in towing. I parked by a sign that read "Speed Zone parking only" we spend 3 hours and good money for this place.
